You caught the flu one day and it vanished the following? Eh.

Not exactly vanished. The worst of it was gone in about 2 days. I still felt like crap for the next 3 though.

Vacation Summary:
Day 1
Left early. Drove for 5 hours. Played lots of Pokemon Ruby.
Got to Minnesota. Went canoeing for 3 hours.
Went to Cabin. Played Lawn Jarts. Sat around Campfire. Slept.
Day 2
Watched TV all morning. Went Biking for 4 hours. Had bad ice cream.
Went home. Grilled out. Got good ice cream. Went back to cabin. Watched 2 1/2 hours of the office. Slept
Day 3
Left Early in the Morning. Drove 3 hours. Played more Pokemon Ruby. Went to awesome swimming place*. Went to distant cousin's house. Got best ice cream. Went home.

*Awesome swimming place.
Well, there was these cool rocks that had a very intricate water system running through them. One one part, it is deep enough that you can jump from 3 1/2 meters all the way to 8 meters into the water. Now the trick is that in front of this spot it a waterfall, which makes a lot of foam. This foam all follow the current into an eddie, which swirls in circle. As soon as you land, you have to swim away. Well, I didn't know that, got washed in the foam, swallowed some of it, tasted it (tasted like rotting fish, metallic, and fecees), and then threw up all over one of the rocks.
Fun trip.

Learned that I do, in fact, know what Quetzalcouatl is. Disregard spelling.

I don't know if I should be happy or sad, but I immediately recognized that name, or well.. recognized that it is similar to the correct name (for all I know it could be the correct spelling) of that Guardian Force in FFVIII that you receive in the beginning together with Shiva. It has probably been ten years since I played that game, but that name was so complicated it is impossible to forget.

Been doing a lot of random stuff today. Played a few hours of Patrician III. Commenced work on a Necromancer Troll - don't ask, you'll see it when it's done. Otherwise the usual hanging around in chat and stuff.

Quatza- is originally from ancient mythology of the indigenous Mexicans. He was the winged serpent God if I remember correctly - some speculation hypothesizes that the god originally came from a Viking that accidentally ended up in Mexico possibly from going of course in a storm, being that the indigenous people had never seen anyone like him before and they believed in living gods among the people they worshiped him and gave him the the name Quetzalcouatl.

I forgot exactly which civilization it was from though - though I'd have to guess the Mayans as they used the serpent as a symbol in a lot of things connected to their religion.

Aye, most of the Final Fantasy creatures are based on various mythologies. I find it funny how Shiva is always depicted as female though, while, afaik, Shiva is a male god within Hinduism.

Apparently they do base it on mythology. I only knew of Shiva. I just wiki'd zirnitra (yeah, you're not the only one randomly remembering names), and, sure enough, Zirnitra was the Wendish dragon-god of sorcery.

I playing Spore to create nice creatures/creations and I'm ... sick =(

Sick of Spore?
Oh great game, esspecially when you realise all this is pointless and your creatures are not so creative, then you start creating better ones until you realise that they're not so greeat once again and you continue like that until you realise you don't really like your current creatures at all altrough they are creative.

There's not really a lot of freedom to make whatever creature you want in Spore, not to mention they are bound to look like they've been pulled out of a Nintendo game. It had potential, but it's aimed at the "wrong" crowd (from my perspective, I'm sure all the little children are happy about the game) and it isn't really finished either.

Had a doctor make a few bloody holes in my arms, just because I think that looks cool. I also needed to infuse some venofer - ie pump iron (into my blood).

True true, but what are you gonna do, Will Wright just can't live without making something that would make all the age groups happy.
well actually there is freedom, like after one patch you can make assimertical creatures.
