  • hey, I'm creating a pathing of about 8x11 pixel. I'm using on my stair model. after saving to 32bit tga image, then I import it, but why the image can't be loaded? please help me...:(

    Ah yeah, well you shouldn't blame yourself entirely for making mistakes with Jass. Blizzard's design has a lot of faults too. :p

    Hm I don't really like C that much; for now I'm sticking to pygame or XNA. I don't have any grand game idea yet. Just practicing on coding basic games to become more familiar.

    AntiChamber seems like an interesting game. I'm not sure I'll get to it with the list of games that I've been trying to complete...

    Heh, my place doesn't have too much change in weather. It's pretty much around 20° the whole year.
    Ah, yeah real life can be pretty time-consuming.

    I've been doing more programming outside of WC3; hopefully making a game in the future or just something interesting. It's kind of funny on how vJass jumpstarted me into doing this. XD

    Dragon Quest IX and Final Fantasy IV for the Nintendo DS are great.
    (As a rule of thumb: every Final Fantasy between 1 and 10 is great).

    For PC games:
    The Mass Effect series was pretty good (haven't played the 3rd one yet).
    The Walking Dead is pretty nice too.

    Or are you talking about legit free games?

    Edit: btw, dialog arrays are stupid in GUI. There's no way to create a dialog in GUI, but they aren't initialized by default (like almost all variables). That's why it failed for me.
    Don't you have a unit array variable for the heroes? All maps with heroes need one of those, it's what makes it easy to control the heroes.

    I would just stick with arrays.
    Each player has his own dialog in an array and when a button is clicked, increase the stats for yourHeroVariable[GetPlayerId( GetTriggerPlayer() )] by the correct amount.
    Wait, you want to use the player as the handle, or do you just want to store it?
    - As a handle: You can use the player as a handle by doing GetHandleId( GetTriggerPlayer() ) (this works when pressing escape and when selecting a dialog button).
    - You want to store it: which handle are you going to use for saving the player?

    For some reason it seems like arrays would be better (looks like an MPI system), but I don't know what you're trying to do :p
    Yeah, I thought I specifically said I was talking about Chamber 1 because I wanted to stop the discussion about chamber 2 as it was going nowhere.
    Maybe I was just thinking that (would be weird, but still possible).

    There were some things that you surely didn't understand. For one, I wasn't trying to bash your chambers (at least not chamber 2, I still think Chamber 1 has/had a critical flaw :p), yet you turned it into a shitstorm and made me look like an idiot for that.

    Thing is that you didn't understand what I was saying the entire time and were talking shit about me as if I was the dumbest dude ever. Obviously I felt like shit after that, so I got mad at you for not understanding me.
    I should've just quit.
