Gilles: Very well made map, and quite fun for a while. I think some more options for game types would be nice. A CtF and maybe some sort of control game. The changing terrain is nice, but other than the pillars it makes no difference. I would love to see more terrain features. Perhaps ice on the playing area that makes your character slide, traps, and more obstacles. The spells are very well made, and I wouldn't do much more on them, but you may want to make more items. Maybe some more interesting ones.

I love this map.
Zymoran and Demestotenes this is the best map i saw on warcraft 3...

I would give it a 10 but only 5 possible :(

I played this map today, very good map. Here's my review:

Rui's Review
[+]Hive Workshop Requirements: The map has a valid name, an author name, and a description. I have ignored the wrong categorization.
[+]Ingenuity: Very good use of the effects on Warcraft.
[+]Originality: I believe I can grant a green plus here. I had never seen a game of this type. Excellent job creating an original map.
[+]Machine/Net-Friendly: The map does not lag at all. Another plus.
[+]Bugs: I found no bugs.
[+]Fun Factor/Gameplay: The gameplay is very interesting. Because of the terrain (as mentioned below), it gets somewhat boring after a while, but with many players this is certainly fun.
There should also be more tips for the players.
[+]Imported Material: Although there are models that could have fit just as well, the "Bloodelf Wizard" by General Frank was certainly a good choice.
[+]Object Editor Work Quality: Nothing to say here, you did what was necessary for this map type.
[+/-]Balance: In Balance terms, the game is OK. However, speed-based games never turn out to be completely balanced because of one common issue: the host has no delay. He can react faster than any other player.
Also, as mentioned here, the rewards each round should be a little more equal.
[-]Terrain: The terrain fits for it's style, but you could have added some different arenas, or add an option for them. Right now, it's always the same. The terrain gets boring quick.

"Warlock" is an original offense & survival map in which you have to use your multiple knockback spells -- each with a different design -- to throw your enemies into the lava, where they loose high amounts of health.
Although the imbalance grows, as the newbie players leave and the winner of most of the rounds gets more gold, and the arenas are not very original terrain-wise, the game succeeds in being unique and decently stable in general.

My rating for version 0.81b of "Warlock" is 17/20, approximately 4 (Recommended).

This map is really GREAT!!! I give it a 10/10.

It's unique and motivating for long time!

[+/-]Balance: In Balance terms, the game is OK. However, speed-based games never turn out to be completely balanced because of one common issue: the host has no delay. He can react faster than any other player.

Thats the reason why a programm that reduce delay (Vck, lc...) is highly recommend for this kind of maps.

- Observer fatal (game bugged when observers left the game during shop time)
- Freeze exploit (permamently grants double knockback to frozen warlock)
- Freeze bug (spells cast before getting frozen would be cast after the freeze expired)
- Teleport Effect exploit (allowed players to be able to fake a teleport)
- Tooltips (fixed all reported typos for many spells)
- Removed the temporary rally point in item shop
- Removed the option to change drain heal rate

- Meteor cooldown increased by 2 seconds

Very nice map. I like the idea, it's a quite simply map, but yet fun to play.
The terrain is plain, which I would say, a good perk in this kinda map. I haven't tried this new ver yet. But I loved the other ones.
Nice to see the spells, diddn't think this was possible in wc3.

very nice map its very fun and has balanced spells. but the thing i HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE about this game is the HOTKEYS, they are very anoyying to cast a spell

Hm i think if you have your middle finger on F its working quite well for me, maybe except the Y key. Well you could use the custom key, but as there are some more people talking about it i'll hand this information to the creators.

Well that would need a Z axis to be added into the map, which will force the map makers to rewrite nearly everything they did.
At the moment warlock will stick to 2d yet, but i hand this idea to the makers =]

Gameplay notes:
-Deathmatch
- Team mode and FFA is available in Deathmatch
- Deathmatch winning conditition is based on points (cap is defined by host)
- Points - Assist: 1 - Killsteal: 1 - Pure kill: 2 - Death: -1
- Players revive after 10 seconds and are invulnerable for 5 seconds after respawn
- There might be many constants in deathmatch, which can't be changed (prototype)
- Knockback and lava damage modifiers (items) will only take effect when you respawn

-C league
- Preset constants. Almost all constants are set as default with following exceptions:
- Lava arena shrink per player is set to 13
- Rounds are set to 12
- Terrain (-C 12) is not pre-set and can be modified before writing -C league

Time Shift and teleport?
- The perfect suicide combo, but can be 'denied' if target uses scourge. Note that scourge will only cancel link if the link caster uses time shift.

- There may be balance issues in 083
- Warlock 082b is the first stable Warlock version

This is the newest one available every other one is a hacked/cheated version.
Get your maps from warlockbrawl.com or just from here as i keep it up to date.

new versions have always the correct version shown in the map preview/loadingscreen.
which isnt the case in most cheated maps

Well in theory you have 256^3 options for getting a color. Thats basic math =]
BGR colors: 256*256*256=16777216

RGB colors:
0-255 = 256 steps:

0 means no color.
255 means full color.

Which means with 256 possibilities per color per basic color it is 256^3 = ~ 16,7 Mio possible colors.

Well end of the color discussion :p

this map is one of the best i've ever seen :) . But too much can be done by stealing : a warlock is pushed in the lava, and someone else firebolts him and steals him. I am thinking, give gold depending on how much damage you dealt, and not how much kills u have

anyway, this gets a well deserved 5/5

This map has been the source of much fun on battle.net.

I know the game gets imbalanced, which is usually when I give up and get the link spell for the lulz.

I have pulled off some pretty sweet-arse link kills though. :p

All around, this map is awesome!

yeah it gets imbalanced really fast, they should make alternative income mode based on rounds or dont know.

*-hidden:
One player is hidden (permanently invisible who has the new unique Cataclysm spell instead of Scourge)
All other players need to kill the hidden
If you kill hidden and have dealt enough damage, you will become the hidden
Friendly fire is on. Dealing damage to friendly will result in a reduced change of being hidden.
Points are gained by killing the hidden and killing other players while you are hidden.
Teamkills count as the hidden's kills.
The person with most points win.

**-vampire
Same as -hidden with following exceptions:
Warlocks who are killed by the hidden will arise to fight for the hidden

Pretty cool but i found a few things.
Displacement, if cast on a pillar, moves it to where you were? (Don't know if intentional)
Also the big one. Splitter in AoE form is broken. It has no cooldown. However, the target form does work properly
