Thinking of getting Sid Meier's Civilization IV and its expansions, yay or nay?

I plan on getting Civ IV and the expansions available, and I'd like to know from you guys if it'll really be worth buying.

Civ2 >>>>> Civ4.

Civ2 is like crack on a disk. Civ4 is a good game, but by no means great.

It's like crack. Its feel is better, and it hasn't got so much anciliary crap, and I prefer the gameplay.

Sid Meier's Alpha Centuri (...and . Get that game, and I promise you, you will never have free time again (its friggen fun, takes a bloody long time, and its cheap; unles you torrent it).

And its like 20 mb! Small, and fun. Some meh-good graphics too.

I've played Civ3 and Civ2: Call to Power (I think that's the name). Civ3 was better imo, but I didn't play much of it.
