Few suggestions about advertising this project:
-Add logo
-Add some numbers into description like number of:
Creeps, items, quests, heroes, abilities etc etc.
-Explain each feature listed, example: Items (Weapons, Armors etc etc)
-Use some
(epic fo displaying text horizontally) and
(cool for darker bacground) BB code
Few suggestions about this project:
-Hero pick system is really bad, there is trigger action in cinematic part (Clear text from the screen or something like that), use it before displaying text! Also add some colors into text as well. Btw take care, converting player into player group is counted as leak!
-Anti cheat system display dummy unit hp, 2 options: Make them buildings (hp bar will be removed), or move them somewhere else on map.
-Multiboard display real numbers with 4 numbers after ., use formatted string :)
-Add icons into multiboard
-Change Trainer hit points from 1 to 50.000 to hid their display on screen :)

There you go, I played game for 3 min, I like abilities and hero attributes systems :)
 
Yeah, I need to update the First post some time... maybe I'd update that this week, together with the release of version .25 alpha

I learned how to remove HP bars, without changing them to buildings, will apply that... ^_^

about the real numbers, I just think that they're a bit needed...

50.000? don't you mean 50,000?

about the icons, hmmm... I'll see what I can do...

EDIT:

Added a backpack and stash... Started making the third class... this class would be the first item consuming class (knives and bolts/arrows)

I would probably put the 3rd class into a playable state for the next alpha map, which would probably be tomorrow, if nothing goes wrong (if it goes well, it might even be at its full state)... ^_^

For now, I called it Acro Ranger...

I would also probably update the site with details/background about the characters in time for the update... (it takes more time to edit Flash sites than normal ones... haha...)

I just didn't want to import icons just for the multiboard, for now (that's why the icon for the materials were a abit off)... and they're a bit small on mine, too bad multiboards only has width setting, no height... haha...

it just came to my mind... maybe because the first job of Rangers/Jesters on FlyFF was called acrobat...but maybe once you get to play the AR, you will better understand why... though it might not be a good choice for those who want to breeze through the early parts of the game... ^_^

Updates from last demo

-Fixed the bug with stasis
-Added a bit of the alchemist guild
-Added some new items
-Placed Thorgas inside the BS guild
-Added a backpack and a stash
-Added the 3rd class, Acro Ranger
-Multiboard now has icons
-Some more I forgot
Theres a features list on the first post... ^_^

I would update the site later, maybe tomorrow, with background info about the classes.

One more note: This is a single player map, play it on Single Player mode as you cannot open it on LAN/BNET due to the file size limit, and even if you can by some magic, the save-load system won't work as this uses Game caches...

I'm really fine now, just a few coughs here every now and then... And tomorrow my dad is going home, need to prepare for persuading my aunt to trade the laptop at our home with the laptop that my dad will be giving her... She will just waste that core i3 with 1GB vram, since she'll just probably be using the net and MSOffice...

oh, forgot to put there: Comments, Suggestions and bug reports (though I hope there's no more bug right now) are highly appreciated!

GJ Adiktuz, great game, really fun to play.
few fixed req:

first- i was confused with SM`s spell discr. cuz you may not see the dot in timing unit.
second- after completing few starter quests i got this counter bug. !
p.s
loved mages gravity field spell <3, kinda inreal to lvl it up ;) but rly great slowing projectile effect.
with its fight mechanics it would be the best action orpg. keep updating, good luck.
 
about the description: ahh... it took me a while to see what you're talking about too. ^_^

its not a bug, I designed ALL (Rep) quests to be like that, so that you can actually farm kills and just complete it multiple times without leaving...

example: on your case, after going back to Malestra, the counter will be reduced to 12, then if you get the quest again, you will almost complete it again within 1 second.

Still thinking if I should double the exp rate for the supp spells...

sometimes it happens to me too...

and oh, some notes:

-I would suggest somebody who's playing as acro ranger, not to open the chest that is on the troll camp yet, as its not yet configured for the acro, so it won't drop anything... ^_^

-the minimap ping for the quest regarding Martini was a bit off (it pings the real position of Martini, which is out of the main map)

-the rep quest for the BS guild, doesn't seem to work yet (I accidentally put the wrong index number on the triggers for it)...

I would be uploading a .25b tomorrow with fixes to this (which probably be in around 12 hours)

Yay finally done! currently playing AC the skills are pretty cool tough they are kinda of boring the effects I mean but I guess you'll improve on that later (or maybe I need to level up the skills more? :D)

The terrain is awesome. I like the new trees outside the fort ahaha. Ima explore some more. But I was wondering how you did the lockdown without ruining the positions of the abilities >_< I want to know! ahahah

Oh just went inside the inn. The interior design is awesome! me like. I should rep you but need to spread some more.

Offtopic:

how does rep work? like the spreading and stuff?

I have to say AC is a character you have to put some mind to into playing XD. It's such a problem when you dont have enough ammo. I'd suggest raising the starting bolt and dagger amount. XD

I switched to SM to test Gravity field ehehe
 
spreading I think needs you to spread rep to about 8 other people...

If you're talking about the disable, I think that was because the disabled icons actually have a specific position...

what do you mean by effect? the models or the things that the abilities do?

I'm still playing with the ammo... I might just increase the power of the abilities (or increase the power of the crossbows as you're supposed to have two of them)... and yeah, increase the starting...

anyway, gonna go to sleep for now...
 
1) For the lockdown, I just call a function I created after casting the supp ability, which removes the supp ability from you and replaces it with the disable button that is specific for that slot (3,2), then after the lockdown timer finishes, I bring back the ability

2)Ahh... not sure, I don't want to have a spam of good graphics coz of lag, but I'll try to find better effects for them...

I have a loop which compares the mana requirement of the ability that you have to the mana that you currently have, if your mana is lower than the required for that ability, the system replaces the ability with the disabled ability specific for that slot...

Alright. I used the Acro Ranger and I got Acid Arrow, Double Trouble, Binding Blade and Weapon Mastery.
Acid Arrow was lacking visuals, try adding a few more effects.
Double Trouble was a bit hard to understand at first, because when I used it I didn't know the second arrow would fall where you targeted the skill. It also lacks visuals, try adding some sort of explosion effects on where the second arrow falls.
Binding Blade was lacking effects. I needs more visual entertainment.
I didn't use Weapon Mastery.
Now, about the Consumables, that was a good idea. I had thought of that before but I haven't really played around with the system that much. The problem is, you should make the player start with a bit more Throwing Knives and Bolts. The player tends to run out of supplies quickly. And about the prices of the consumables; they are too high. Change the prices into something like 2 gold since the player doesn't even get gold from kills; and he only gets them from quests. I'm not even sure if you can sell items here. If the player uses all his gold for the consumables, he won't have any money to buy his equipment and items. And I'm going back to the point where you don't get any money for the kills, since gold is quite vital in the game. Even if you just get 1 gold or something, it should be okay; since you tend to kill a lot of creeps at a time.
The Day/Night system was quite unique. I couldn't enter the Blacksmith at night. :)
The Inn was well decorated, I liked it.
As for the Attack of the Acro Ranger, it looks kind of lame since she's whacking stuff with her crossbows.
Here's a good but hard-to-implement suggestion. Try giving the players a demonstration of each skill before they choose the skills they want. Like, if they want to see a preview of Acid Arrow, it'll take them into an enclosed part of the map and they will see an AI-controlled Acro Ranger use it on a creep. I know it sounds hard, but it would add to the overall appeal of the game.

I do have a comment on the blacksmith guild. The flooring is a little awkward (or myabe the walls) It's like too bright for a blacksmith guild. But I think darkening the place a bit then add some lighting with an orageish yellowish redish feel to it :)

You can sell items... but yeah, I'll be increasing the starting stuff... ^_^

And for visuals, yeah, I'll add better visuals...

About the last suggestion, hmmm... not sure If I could add it, but I'll see if its possible with the current systems...

@Neku99 - nope, I just made 4 disabled abilties, one for each slot... the abilities that you have are saved into variables respective to the matter that they were learned, so I could actually pinpoint where the ability is positioned normally, so the system could replace it with the right disabled abil...

I'll think about the sampler of the abilities... but most probably, I'll just actually have some vids for that (I'll eventually release Gameplay trailers for each class anyway)... its easier for me to do it that way, than doing it inside the map...

and if I'll be able to do things fine and get more motivation, the next release (on the last week of may probably) might already be version .50 BETA... so that would be a huge update from this... if not, then we'll see...

I found something weird.

So the repeatable quest (Spider Fangs) I collected about 34 of them. Then went to Lior and got the reward. Then I got the quest again. Move a little bit then went to Lior but I didn't get the reward. I tried clicking on the quest but it said quest already taken (?) I also tried killing one more so that it would go up to 35 nothing happened.

The quest said an alchesmist named Malestra(?) needed some but I don't think there's a malestra npc. Do I have so do a specific thing to make it work?
 
Hmmm... That's weird, coz you should be doing that quest for Malestra, not lior... Malestra is from the alche guild...

maybe I forgot to remove the quest from Lior... but its weird that you were able to finish it for Lior...

anyway, will test right now...

btw, I have a new system plan...
Instance Dungeon scrolls

There would be some special monsters spawning around the map, that will drop scrolls that will teleport you to instance dungeons upon usage...

The ID will depend on the special monster...

The IDs will have chests that drop good items, though unlike the normal chests, they can drop items for other classes (since they will be there anyway when you go to the IDs, unlike the normal chests which can only be opened once per character).
And oh, I got a chance to try the i3... its cool, ATI graphics card with 2gb vram and a 3gb RAM... not sure yet If I would get to keep it though...

EDIT: Uploaded .25c, with fix for the Spider Rep quest, changed the starting amount of tools for ranger to 100, and lowered the cost of them to 3 gold each.

Cool I like the instance dungeon idea. But I don't understand this

If I was AC then went to an ID then got an item for SM... ? What do I do with it? I can't equip it :p
