This silly thief is a very powerful warrior and it is said that he even killed powerful dragons single-handedly. After the war, Fradz went on many journeys, but one day a mysterious voice told him to travel to the famous Dragon Inn to meet someone who was once very close to him. Fradz accepts this new journey, as he knows that he cannot decline it...Galeoth, the son of a legendary Dragon Slayer lived up to his father's name and became one of the leaders of Balgaron. General Information

During making this campaign for many years, I have met incredible persons. Without them, this project would have died long time ago. With your feedback and help I'm able to finish this project. What we must remember, is that I'm not doing this for myself, I'm doing this for you.

I'm really sorry if you have helped me in any way and I have not added you to the list. Please, tell me immediately and I will add your name to the right place. Thank you.

Special Credits

Kitabatake
Kitabatake is, without a doubt, the most important person to this campaign. He produced several systems, massive amounts of complex triggers, and provided large amounts of models textures, and icons as well. Kitabatake's devotion and contribution towards the campaign is definitely the greatest of all.

Maker
Makes has helped in a long run various ways from creating important systems to helping me to fix very complicates bugs I couldn't handle. The help he has given is enormous and he's for sure one of the most important and supportive persons I have met while doing this campaign. For all the things you have helped me, thank you.

Flecky
This man is a strong long time supporter of the campaign since the beginning of its creation. His influence on the campaign is unquestionable and without him, many things would have gone differently. I could not ask for a better supporter. People like him are essential for big projects like this one. For all the support you've given to me through all these years, I'm really grateful to you.

David
David and I have been in correspondence for a long time now on the subjects of: story, ideas, characters and texts. We have done much work together and had some nice debates. A couple times he took breaks for his studies, he but always came back to give honest input and read the texts I send. In respect to our friendship, he requests that the campaign be completed not too long from now, and I hope to be able to honor that. Thanks, David, and speak to you soon!

Yes, it is possible to save data from old version to new version.

Could you tell me how to do this? I have tried everything. Oh, and by the way, if you need help translating and fixing up the text in the cinematic, I would be more than willing to help you out.

Okay... It's easy. For example, if you played version 2.2 and you completed chapter 1. Now you want to continue, just open chapter 4 and Phodom is there. Easy, isn't it?

About helping text would be excellent. My current translator is sooo slow even if he have been doing for me stuff last 2 month. That's why the campaign is going slowly lately. So, I need to ask you few question. Are you good with english? You might have some imagination to make some texts better and where are you from?

Yes, I am good with English. It is my best class at school, and I strive to better my grammar and language skills wherever I can, even in this post. Plus, I tend to be OCD about neatness and grammar when it comes to writing. (In case you don't know, that means I'm obsessed with perfecting it). I live just outside of Boston, Massachusetts, in the United States. Although my knowledge of map making has its limits, I doubt that matters much if I am going to be editing lines of text.

You need to remove the period before the parenthetical. Otherwise, that's a nicely written passage from a grammar perspective.

p.s. I realize that this is irrelevant to the campaign.

Just a suggestion -- either allow the user to skip an entire cinematic or skip through one "line" at a time by pressing a button (such as Esc). ESPECIALLY for Alpha/Beta testing you want your testers to be able to play through a given map multiple times without having to wait for the cinematics to finish (given their incredible length in this campaign).

Well part of testing is finding typos in cinematics...

While that is true, I doubt testers really need to watch those cinematics 50 times in a row to find typos. A tester might, however, need to play through a level from the beginning up to 50 times to look for those "rare" bugs.

By the way, I found one. I'm not sure (yet) whether this applies to other "skills" as well, but the first Fire Skill (Firebolt) acquired by Phodom in the first map can have its cooldown reset by saving and loading a game. That is, you can cast it (say, during an Elite or Epic boss fight...) then save, load the save, then cast it AGAIN. I doubt that was your intent (although at the moment it is only by doing this that I am able to kill even the Elite boss on the first playthrough. I guess you just wanted the player to have to "give up" multiple times to get those quests done).

Also: The cheat "strengthandhonor" disables all "defeat" actions, which means that (while the "Please do not cheat" message still shows up), the player does not suffer "defeat" when trying to cheat. Thus, if a player types in "strengthandhonor" followed by "whosyourdaddy", it effectively circumvents your whole anti-cheat system and allows "God Mode" or whatever.

Also also: Left over from whichever version it was where you had to BUY a shovel, the shop in the first map still shouts at you to buy a shovel.

Also also also: Phodom's innate skill, which is supposed to have a chance to deal AoE damage on attack, does nothing. At all. If that was your intention, fine.

EDIT: Also also also also: It is impossible to obtain 100% completion in the first chapter, since (even if you by some miracle manage to kill the Archmage) if you kill the Archmage, you don't get the Orb and if you let him live you're effectively banished from the whole area -- and the last buried treasure is inside the Muraudar camp.

A bug
When Phodom use the "attack" command, you will find he can't destroy the house.
That's so weird. It worked last version and now it doesn't work anymore. I didn't do anything about it...

Well, that's a rare bug, yes. I have to ask from couple of guys if there is a way to prevent this happen because I don't know a way. It's like a same bug as when you save/load your combat kings go to level 1.

Really? Heheheh... never thought of that. Well, it's easy to fix. Example I just make all units pause, then you can't do anything.

Ah yea, I always forgot to fix this. I go to fix it now.

Actually, it didn't work at all in older versions, but in the newest version it should work. What version are you playing?

Where do you need orb? You'll get another reward if you kill it. I think then you are able to get 100%, am I wrong?

I've been playing the latest version -- 2.7b.

Here's something scary: the spell "Northrend Winds" will stop working if the hero is stunned (e.g. bashed by the first Esper) while casting it. However, it will *not* unpause the hero. Ever. Is there a way to prevent the hero from being permanently paused if he is bashed while casting this spell?

EDIT: Hmm, never mind. It happened once, for sure, but I'm unable to reproduce this on my second and third attempts at the fight (using the same spell, again getting bashed, but still able to move afterward). Perhaps the bash has nothing to do with it, or the bug only happens if bashed at certain intervals. Oh, well. I'll be sure to mention something if I figure out what caused it, though.

Couple more things, though...
Northrend Winds seems to heal for 100% at each 2-second interval, rather than the 25% stated in the skill description.

Upon beating the first Esper (WITHOUT CHEATS), the game indicates that you have gained Third Son when in fact it gives you Combat King: Stunner.

When an Esper uses the "Lock Camera" function, and then dies/times out/is dismissed, the camera remains locked on the Esper's former position. This can make it difficult to move the hero when you regain control.

When an Esper is dismissed, some really REALLY freaky stuff happens -- although I'm sure you know most of it. Basically both boxes are summoned on top of each other, making them look like one squished box (like bent-out-of-shape metal, which is a kind of cool effect actually), AND two little critters are summoned (ANTI-CHEAT SHOOTER and ANTI-CHEAT MANA). Both are selectable and have amusing models, but somehow I don't think the two [dummy casters?] are meant to be so visible at the time.

Worse, the dummies (if that's what they are) are controllable by the player, and the MANA one is invulnerable and has a high movement speed. Since checkpoints don't seem to care WHICH unit steps on them, this is a potential exploit as well: I was able to finish a chapter by moving the unit to the checkpoint at the end of the chapter -- and when I decided NOT to end the chapter my hero was teleported to that point.

Also, I have noticed that it is possible to restore Vitality by having a "box" use food. It's not game-breaking or anything -- it's not THAT much faster than using the "-mb" command -- but I think it's kind of weird that a box can eat food to make a hero less hungry, so if it's simple enough to just prevent boxes from using the item (maybe 1 mana cost and +1 to mana when used, though it might look a bit messy...)

I just realized I had forgotten to compliment you on this *amazing* campaign. It's obvious that a LOT of work has already gone into it. The game music was especially well-chosen, I think. I don't recognize it from any game I've played, but it sounds like it came from either a Capcom or Square game (specifically, somewhere between Mega Man, Breath of Fire, and Final Fantasy; although I haven't played any FF games other than the 3rd -- okay, 6th -- there's something about the way it's composed that makes me not care that it's synthesized, repetitive, etc.)

Aaaaanyway, very well done. I enjoyed your TD as well, and I guess I'm going to HAVE to check on your other maps when I've played through your campaign.

Wow, that's a big bug. I usually don't use that spell because I think the other ultimate is better(in chapter 3 at least, never played with that spell in other chapters). Don't attack to the boss for a while so he won't cast any spells.

Yeah I figured out that for all three bosses in that chapter, the best thing to do is spam Ice Bolt and run around in circles. I do like what you're doing with the bosses, making it more strategic than simply attacking head-on and casting all your spells as they become available. I hadn't even considered that 1-on-1 fights in a Warcraft III custom game could be that interesting (although Epic battles tend to drag on a bit since the boss generally has massive amounts of HP -- making battles last a REALLY long time even after the player discovers a boss's weaknesses). Having special effects show up just before a boss uses its instant-kill spells is something I've never seen before in a wc3 custom game, and I think it adds a lot of strategic depth to a game that would otherwise involve mindlessly trading blows with things. Some of my own first attempts at "campaigns" generally involved one or two heroes attack-moving to checkpoints to advance some ill-conceived plot. I think I've improved somewhat in that respect, but I know it'll be a LONG time before I can confidently submit anything I make to this site, and longer still before I can even approach this level of quality.

Cheating is dumb.

strenghtandhonor more whosyourdaddy is so cool

thk you ! Now i will finish the campaign!

Yeah, good luck with that. Thing is, the campaign is still in its Alpha stages and thus there's not a LOT of content for you to exploit with the cheat. Not only that, but (as Aeroblyctos himself pointed out) the cheat doesn't always work and even if it does the game often "wigs out" and while it's possible to achieve victory by this means, there's not much point to it. Although I had some graphical issues with Chapter 5 (something with the lighting/shading is a little weird but it might only be my video card or something, and at any rate it's not the kind of bug that I would think easy to isolate -- let alone fix), I did manage to complete what there is in the campaign.

In chapter 4, for instance, there are traps that instantly kill you; whosyourdaddy will not save you, as it actually operates by assigning your character the maximum amount of damage and the maximum amount of damage reduction -- instant death cannot be reduced. And, since you disabled the defeat trigger, you'll just die and be stuck until you restart the level or reload a save. Reloading a save, as we mentioned earlier, causes some strange bugs as well -- and any future versions that may correct such issues will simply not allow you to cheat anyway.

To all who complain about the cheat restriction system: I don't know what the problem is, really. The campaign is simply not *that* hard; the only reason anyone would ever have to bother with cheats is if he wants to kill an Elite or Epic boss in the first map on the first try. The rewards are unnecessary for subsequent completion of the campaign, and all the "main" quests can be completed fairly quickly and easily without having to think TOO hard about it. Again, the only people who would be concerned with fighting the seemingly-impossible Elite and Epic bosses would be completionists. And completionists do not cheat -- it kind of defeats the purpose of trying to accomplish everything there is.

Basically, this is a campaign in which it is possible to rush through if you really want to -- and cheats are unnecessary to this end. However, I'd recommend against it since if you stick to only doing the bare minimum you'll be spending maybe 2/5 of your time actually playing the game; the remainder will be spent watching the cutscenes! Sidequests are fun, and the rewards are nice, but, again, not entirely necessary for minimalist completion.

I have high hopes for this campaign; the idea behind it is intriguing, the story fairly well thought-out (I think), the gameplay is unique (for a custom campaign), and if it ever reaches the level of polish the Dwarf Campaign has achieved (or, heck, pretty much any of med. mapguy's campaigns or Darky's Spiderqueen) it'll be one HELL of a campaign! The only thing I can say I dislike about it is the fact that it's still in Alpha, but once the dialogue is translated into "common" English and all the little glitches and tweaks are worked out it will probably be one of those campaigns that helps justify Warcraft III's continued existence (sort of like how the Uber Bosses do for Diablo II: LoD and how Team Gizka's mod will soon revive Star Wars: KotOR II).

Thanks for your comment, cosmicat. It gives me power to do this campaign. I know this is still alpha version, but I'm working this to be beta as soon as possible. However, this almost out of my hands, I cannot do anything that my translators are so slow nowadays. I have been waiting like 2 weeks for chapter 6 to be translated.

When all chapters are remade, I do chapter 11, then prologue and epilogue. After all these, this'll be in beta stage. This will perhaps take few months. In mean time, when my translators are doing their stuff, I increase the game play and amounts of elite and epic bosses. Next version will have; chapter 4 elite and epic boss, chapter 5 elite boss, 5 new hero spell, and 5 new spell book spells. Also new summon system, where summons hit points, mana, speed and damage done are increased depending of caster's stats.

Some guys asked me about, why this campaign have anti-cheat system. Here are some anwers:
  • I want to give a real RPG feeling, like in Oblivion or Final Fantasy games where you cannot cheat. This is not just another WC3 RPG.
  • I don't like people to cheat. Why they should even cheat?
  • When I play, I never cheat.
  • It makes the campaign bug. Example, if you use that "whosyourdaddy" in chapter 1 epic boss, the boss will die instantly and it'll not be seen in the following cinematic. And there's some similar cinematics like that one.
  • I think that is enough to have that anti-cheat system.

About social groups, I always join them if they request, but actualy never have posted into them. :D

Hello Aeroblyctos, it is me again. ^^
After a long time I stopped playing this, I started it again and I am very glad to see how you improved it.
Dude, I am bowing for you. This campaign beats the standard wc3 campaign heavily.

I wanted to help you with some small improvements so I just started this campaign new and noticed some things.
Currently I am done with Chapter 1 so here are my noticed things like mistypos.

- Starting cinematic -
"Brigitta"
"Good Bye" - should be: "Goodbye"
"I will think you every [...]" - should be: "I will think OF you every day"

- Marjatta Quest, killing Murlocs -
"Brigitta"

- Worm Killing Quest -
Wrong Quest Icon

- Saving Dart Quest -
"I love you to [...]" - should be "I love you TOO [...]"

- Elite Quest Murloc -
Conversation says armor will be gained, Quest information says 300 gold will be gained

- Saving family -
"Brigitta"

As you see you sometimes call the wife Brigitta and Birgitta. I don't know what you think the correct name is so I let you decide :p
I will keep playing this to help you (and to have a lot of fun on an awesome campaign!!! :D)

Ok, nice to see you too. Yes, the campaign is improving all the time. Current chapter 1-5 are remade(expect chapter 2 optional quests, chapter 1 & 2 elite and epic bosses). Soon I start to remade chapter 6 when it's translated(I have been waiting for a month now)...

In mean time, I improve the battle system by putting more skills and items. Thanks for your post, I'll see what I can do.

You can right-click enemy to attack it, instead of choosing attack in spellbook.

You can report bugs about the game here.

You can also do it here, but I bet you get a faster response on the link I provided you.
Yes and then tcocampaign website grows when you make a profile there too

About these two bugs I already actually know. I can't do anything to that "level" 1 thing because I have not made whole system.

That attack thing worked before, I wonder what's wrong now? I make a thread of someone knows what's wrong...

Hey Aeroblyctos, I noticed some things...

-Phodom loses the ability Warcry in chapter 5. Maybe he loses that ability even in chapter 4, I'm not sure :x
-I also were very lucky to kill the true death in chapter 3, I gained an amulett and it had an ability which is activated when clicking. I clicked on it but nothing happened.
-There are again some "Brigitta" errors in all chapters :p
-There is no way to get the third part of Archeon's Set and Magarath's Set. I have Magarath's Amulet and Armor and I have Archeons Hood and Boots.

Is there any way to fight the elite/epic boss in chapter 4 and 5? I looked for it the whole time but I couldn't find a way.

Read the description again; Unholy Amulet - Increases the mana capacity of the Hero by 500 when worn. Also, gives a 5% chance to restore 50% of your mana after casting. When the carrier of this item attacks an enemy unit, this item damages the attacked unit based on carrier's current health slightly. Has 30 second cooldown. |c00E55BB0[3]|r

Hmm? Okay I check grammar quickly.

You can buy two Archeon's set and get one from the quest. Maragath set can be get from elite... Bah! It's boring always to tell everything.

Nope, I'm just making chapter 4 elite and epic and chapter 5 elite boss. They'll be in next version.

Thanks for playing the campaign. Take some rep for telling me bugs.

First my English is not so good because it not my main language and I don't have time to read all the post.Anyway I found that at some chapter(i only try chapter one)you can use the cheat iseedeadpeople to look around the map.It like this:First I chose Phodom skill, then i type the cheat. The game will show text(you guys know what it is)in the mean time I chose Phodom final skill, and the game will start in 10 second. In that moment, game show the board say I lost because of cheating.I don't press anything, just wait until 10 second end, then watch the cinematic. When done, the game it frozen but all map area has been show.Oh and your map rocks i love it
