Story
Background Story
Twelve peaceful years have passed since The Great War ended. The war that lasted centuries but no man could recall the reason of. The age of despair, bloodshed, loss and grief is now past. The new age brought the opportunity for human kingdoms to rise, as humanity has broken free from the grip of the dragons.

This story focuses on Kingdom of Balgaron and three famous Dragon Slayers: Phodom, Fradz and Galeoth. Each of them starts their journey in different places, but they will eventually meet eachother and join forces along the path. Together, the three are forced to go a conflict beyond their imaginations.

Lead them into an epic world, guided by a strong storyline that covers hate, love, war and peace.

The honored Dragon Slayer Phodom gave up his life as a warrior and began a new life with his wife and his children, far away from the capital of Balgaron in the small town called Dalli. All his plans were going smooth and easy until someone steps into his life and changes everything...Fradz is a young energetic Dragon Slayer known for his short temper and bad manners. This silly thief is a very powerful warrior and it is said that he even killed powerful dragons single-handedly. After the war, Fradz went on many journeys, but one day a mysterious voice told him to travel to the famous Dragon Inn to meet someone who was once very close to him. Fradz accepts this new journey, as he knows that he cannot decline it...Galeoth, the son of a legendary Dragon Slayer lived up to his father's name and became one of the leaders of Balgaron. After the war, Galeoth still believed that the war was not yet over. His obsession to find dragons led him towards the Icy Mountains where he is about to uncover a horrible secret that will change the fate of mankind...

All abilities remade and new abilities: Battle Banner, Fiery Ball, Fire Power, Ultimate Sacrifice, Counter Attack, Energy Shield, High Strike, Crystal Plane, Galeoth's Order, Illusion Army, Magic Convert and Magical Fog.
'Critical Chance' attribute added! It starts from 5% and it can be increased various ways.
Now also Strenght increases Critical Damage just like Agility.
Chapter 5 Pumpking Quest's second cinematic updated.
Chapter 7 Epic Boss removed the terrain deforming to decrease lag.
Fixed a lot of bugs you guys mentioned.

Chapter 9 is now available for playing.
Attack and Armor types remade; values are changed and Attack & Armor types are removed. I've made the campaign simpler, easier to learn and more effective this way.
Rebalanced the armor values of all enemy units in all chapters.
Improved chapter 3's ending dialogues (outdated).
Vacuum's area of effect reduced. You cannot grab items from far away anymore.
Background stories and so-called "Books" are completely added to all chapters in this version.
Every single Spell Book spell has been added to the campaign!
Many new items and item changes. For example, superior items, which costs a huge amount of gold, are added to middle chapters; however, they're worth it!
Improved the multiboard a lot. Now it is more informative and better organized.
Combat kings once again rebalanced and changed. The major thing is that now they all cost 2 Honor Points.
Espers improved and made even stronger. Please come and tell me what you think about the Espers now. I've seen that players don't use them and I really want to make them useful.
Many changes to the starting packs! Now they should be balanced, every single one of them!
Stealing improved; now it shows the percentages.
Easter Eggs added; currently just 2 but there will be a total of 12 Easter Eggs. Check them all out!

From this version onwards, a number of items can only be bought once. Choose wisely and try not to lose those items. You cannot buy them again!

Vitality system upgraded in various ways and I've some plans to upgrade it even further in the future. One big note is that now max vitality will only increases when an item is in a character's inventory.
Now every fourth ranked synthesis Item will require a Zozi to reduce player from getting too many powerful items at early chapters.
Now each STR gives 20 health instead of 25.
Now each INT gives 10 mana instead of 15.
Chapter 4 Wisps are now easier to catch
Black merchant can only be seen between 24:00 to 6:00 o'clock.

Chapter 7 is now opened.
Boss points are now removed from the game. You can still change your Boss points to Honor points by writing this code: "-change".
Remade all item, ability, spell, esper and all other descriptions: they are now shorter and easier to read.
There is only fire, ice, and lightning spells now.
Improved multiboard by a lot, added some new stats to it also.
Added new combat kings and new spells. Combat Kings now only go up to level 5.
Added some more tactical meaning to the battle: some abilities can do or use buffs called Brittle, Stagger, and Bleed. For example some other abilities can use these buffs to deal increased damage.
Now Special abilities will increase by every level instead of every fifth level.
All professionals are now universal.
The Critical Damage bonus starts from 100% instead of 0%. The chance to do a Critical Hit is still 10%.
Once again, more items.
New Spell System: Instead of spell books you can easily use spells from left corner just like potions.
The file size is now bigger because I imported some resources to the campaign. The expected file size in the end will be about 120mb to 140mb. I hope the file size won't be a problem.
New balanced attack and armor types: Sharp, Blunt, Magic, Light, Medium, Heavy, Sturdy and Elemental.
Now some enemies are categorized as Summoned, Undead, Drgon and Monster. Some items and abilities can do extra effects to them.
Now enemies won't do their abilities while stunned.

Aero, I noticed that Phodom's ability aura of fire has an error in calculation description. It says that it is strength which is added to damage in the description of the ability, but where it shows the formula, it is actually intelligence that is added. Was it supposed to be strength that was added to the damage or was that just an error in the ability description?

I guess it depends on how tough the enemies are that you will be facing later on in the game. If you're able to get your INT to the 500 max and it does at least 500 damage, that would kill a lot of monsters pretty quickly probably making it imba. You could try half and if that's too low, maybe do .75? Given that it is a skill you spend points on, you do want it to at least still be somewhat effective at later levels. I guess try it and see what you think.

Thanks but i reinstall Warcraft, and redownload The Chosen, and nothing :/ Only black screen. Hmm... game worked normal... do not suspended.

Here are some posibilities your might have:

You are below minimum requirements.
You do not have enough free RAM probably because you keep too many programs or services opened.
A video card or processor error...
There is something wrong with your Warcraft III installation.
You do not have the latest version of Warcraft III.
There are changed bytes in Storm.dll.
There are changed bytes in war3.exe.
There is something wrong with your operating installation.
There is something wrong with your video card.
There is something wrong with your video driver.
There is something wrong with your DirectX installation.
There is something wrong with your processor.
There is something wrong with your chipset driver.
There might be something wrong with your data bus. (which is MOST UNLIKELY)

Here are some information how to fix:

Re-download the campaign file and make sure to put it to correct place.
If your computer's components are BELOW Warcraft III's minimum requirements, you might consider quitting Warcraft III or upgrade your components if your pocket is big enough.
Make sure you have enough free RAM for the campaign. If you have like 1GB of RAM, please close anything you can before starting the game.
Completely uninstall Warcraft III and then reinstall both RoC and TFT.
Reinstall ) your DirectX or BETTER install the latest version!
Reinstall your video driver or BETTER update your video driver.
Reinstall your chipset driver or BETTER update your chipset driver.
Attempt to remove viruses from your system.
Insert your operating system Installation CD in your optical drive (CD/DVD/BR reader/writer), reboot the machine and run a System Repair aka System Diagnostic and Repair function.
Reinstall your Operating System.
Inspect your data bus for any damage and replace it if there is any.
Inspect your video card's cooler for any damage and replace it if there is any.
Inspect your video card for any damage and replace it if there is any.
Inspect your main cooler for any damage and replace it if there is any.
Inspect your processor for any damage and replace it if there is any.
Finally, if NONE of the above work, then you might consider buying new PC components that do not require drivers like chipset drivers.

Addittional notes:

With Mac some of the chapters might not work, happened to more than one person.

Yeah, great research there grunt, in case you didn't see I was one of the first to play the campaign when it was released, it was totally different from what you see today.

If memory serves me right there was a quest that was incompletable at chapter 1( something with killing worms).

The only way to defeat the bosses was to have a lot of HP potions but if you didn't know that you were fucked.

Spelling is spelling I won't go there.

About the cheats I'm neutral, I prefer to have the option.

Oh and as you can see I gave a 3/5 rating for that.. I think I'll replay the campaign and give a new rating.

Bugs and Fradz qq

fradz is terrible he tank has no form of agro/taunt he dies in 1 hit, and deals less damage than his tanking counter part. The only sort of survivability our heals and slows... the latter is near useless being he's meele

Suggestions - increase his base stats and make them scale slightly worse, give him a passive stun/dodge give the tank a taunt

Bugs - Fradz lightning ball has no control as to where it goes, basically complete randomness in direction
the tank's flat heal/revive spell revives you the next time you die regardless of time till death, (i have died mins+ after it ended and gotten rezed)

I agree, that that is why I made changes to stats. Now agility is linked with evasion and critical strike to make especially Fradz stronger.

STR

- 1,5 attack damage(if main attribute)
- 25 maximum hit points
- 0,05 hit point regeneration / sec

AGI

- 1,5 attack damage(if main attribute)
- 0,1% evasion chance
- 0,5% critical damage
- 0,4% steal chance

INT

- 1,5 attack damage(if main attribute)
- 3 spell damage
- 15 max mana
- 0,05 mana regeneration / sec

Phodom - revive glich was from one of the newer spells, heavens lights? some then like that, anway after casting that on yourself and the 12 second buff runs down, you will still revive regardless of not having used a life or having the buff currently on you. (sadly) it does not stack

Fradz -the regen starter book on fradz, just tried it today and it reduces the regen to 0 % a second if i drop it i get 2 hp a second.. slightly messed up? i'd suggest some sort of required spell to take that would add like 50% dodge or some such benefit and GIVE THE TANK A TAUNT!! or something that makes the mobs attack something else mirrior image kinda gets 1 shotted. the invisble strike is the only spell besides the ult that seems worth using as well... 1k damage vs 1k damage while taking 150 damage every hit aka getting 5 shotted like normal on fradz,fradz basically seems to be a mage, with no survivabilty using hit and run to barely stay alive,

fradz getting digging is kinda dumb, he should stick with stealing, phodom getting alch is dumb what pali has ever used potions? not i, plus you want to save the stuff for when you get to the mage, thus having a secondary proffesion seems pointless. the steal on fradz also doesn't work (sometimes got a hp belt and a mana belt) , i stole from 2 mini bosses that kept saying *you failed to steal an item* (dead seriously) 25+ times i had about 70 agi never did get anything from those 2 >.<

okay upon farther messing around - i have found that phodom/100 > fradz*icemage honestly either make either the phodom a LOT harder to play or... make the other 2 heroes feasible at the start aka more starting hp, i'm not using the recommended items but if i can't take down the first mini boss (that troll thing on the icemage) below 2/3 hp on normal mode without using 2 potions... there is a issue

Okay other than raging... here is what i would recommend

Keep Phodom as he is

Fradz - Change spells to focus more on improving himself (he seems way to much like a mage atm) *some passive that energizes him every time he hits a target, basically after a few hits it gets stunned, preferably in some way that is based partially based off % so he can't stun lock the boss, agi doesn't appear to affect attack speed or crit chances, which in my mind is just wrong, basically add *passive* triggered spells and create a less mage feel and keep him from being a failure

Ice Mage - like all mages he has good damage but... his spells cds are crap, creating a system that would be able to 1. either reduce it with items or (would be a intresting as starting item that scales per kill like the others) 2. just flat reduce them so at the start not getting the ice element is detrimental, also his ice armor would be much better if it slightly stunned the target, however that effect would only work if it was used on himself rather than someone else.

I'm sound a bit pushy ignore that part i'm not very good at righting and i'm tired hehe

if you'd like i could recommend more specific changes edit the triggers and show you.

Chapter 4 - on area where you can take poison stone, there always spawn ent when you enter in. This means you can get masses of gold and experience. I diden´t get any experience cuz i get all levels from mieliopuli quest, i think you missed number or something, i completed it right from start of this map and it gave me ALL the levels :D

The best cheat is to save and load, ofcourse!

I remember chapter 1 in the fist version, i cleared all the mobs and structures on the map and found that i didn't got the required 200 gold...as I've bought some of the gear item...
So i have to sell some of the potions., items and stuff...

chapter 2 - i found a very weird bug, after i killed nhutzi (or whatever his name ~.~), he droped his head, and when i took his head, the item is suddenly missing !, but when i restarted the game, and i try again, it went normal, weird ...

chapter 3 - actually this is not a bug, but the "invisible road" puzzle is very annoying, i have to open your campaign in world editor and see the "real road", also playing galeoth is very hard, with low damage and 12 seconds cooldown icebolt, i died many times, maybe you should reduce the icebolt's cooldown, 6 seconds maybe ?

chapter 4 - same as chapter 1 bug, a boss keep casting his spell even when he died. also, where is zealot sword ? (the material for creating orichalcon)

Top Class Bug - Phodom's combat skills is dissapeared when i started chapter 4 !!!

And, Fradz is very weak, really ...
He was quite good when he gained a life steal item ...

Something funny happened. :p

I'm still playing that old version, so I'm guessing it's all fixed by now. But anyway, the campaign suddenly stopped at chapter 9, even though the storyline wasn't over yet. So I opened up the campaign, and saw there were two more chapters. I just edited the loading screen, so those chapter buttons were visible. But I can tell those chapters weren't ready yet. xP
I could actually control the cinematics, for example. Weird stuff.

Edit: Well, something weirder happened. In a cinematic, after I escaped the cave (Chapter 10), the game keeps telling me not to cheat (which would be impossible, because I'm in a cinematic), and then it quits the game. So it's impossible to complete this chapter.

Yea you can use him as a mage too like I did. However in next version agility gives evasion & critical dmg so it's easier to be a "warrior" type. I'll check out that regen book.

Those are just second professions you'll most likely use them only in the early chapters. I had so many items I had to make another profession for each character to shatter the items. Actually it doesn't bug you didn't get the idea.

Stealing Percents

If you were wondering how the steal percentage works, here is how. Agility, items, and abilities can increase the chances of a successful steal while some enemies decreases the steal chance. In fact, some enemies decrease the steal chance so much, you won’t be able to steal from it except with high steal chance.

Each agility point increases the steal chance by 0,4%.

It is very understandable that you don't know much about this system because I haven't told much information about various systems of the campaign. I'll fix this and in the next version @ prologue you can see some information.

I try to make Fradz both a mage and a warrior. I play myself as a mage, most players play him as a warrior. It's up to player what type of fighter it becomes. In the next version agility gives evasion chance + critical dmg so he's more powerful as a warrior too.

- I don't know what is zealot sword.
- Currently "single abilities" have 12 sec cooldown. Should I make it 10 instead? AoE spells for example have 15 sec cooldown.
- Actually chapter 6 is Kar'Gath. :p

oh and it's not zealot blade, it's zwill blade :p, where i can find it ?

also i can make the icon for damage type if you like, changing it's border, making it looks like the ordinary damage type icons

it's permanent until you die, so like *cast's spell* 20 mins later ... *i died* *i rez* (without casting spell in between) *i die again* *i either use a life or stay dead*

also effects that increase your hp (and possibly mana) will kill you when you wear off if you drop underneath the amount of hp that it gave you. ex
I have 1500/1500 hp i get owned so i use my buff gaining 500 hp so now i have 1000/2000 hp i get killed for another 750 hp and am down to 250/2000 i run away and the buff wears off removing 500 hp killing me.

It seems that combat king still miss in chapter four.
It's a great idea that agility has the function of evasion and stealing! Otherwise it's useless for Phodom.
Can anyone tell me where I can find Whip of Nature? I've played the forth time and still cannot find it.

I forgot to mention earlier that the herb count is extremely easy to cheat (kinda annoying if you want to know if you have them all) if you exchange them in between your different backpacks (the new backpack is very nice btw) it counts it as another herb gained. i had *50* herbs while only actually having 35

it's permanent until you die, so like *cast's spell* 20 mins later ... *i died* *i rez* (without casting spell in between) *i die again* *i either use a life or stay dead*

also effects that increase your hp (and possibly mana) will kill you when you wear off if you drop underneath the amount of hp that it gave you. ex
I have 1500/1500 hp i get owned so i use my buff gaining 500 hp so now i have 1000/2000 hp i get killed for another 750 hp and am down to 250/2000 i run away and the buff wears off removing 500 hp killing me.

Your talking about the Avatar ability? I died like 4 times until I figured out whats happening, You drop to 1 hp and then somebody hits and it lights out. Now thats a side-effect, not getting bigger. Aero should do something about it.

That happens when you have low enough hit points and then your avatar buff wears off.

- It will also have critical dmg. Gives 0,5% crit dmg / agility.

Okay I updated to 1.4a because Fradz was invisible.

After working four weeks, I was finally able to release a next version. The task was bigger than I thought and that is why it took longer than I was planning. Chapter 5 is definitely one of the largest chapters in this campaign. It includes 7 optional quests, dozens of cinematics and many more.

Phodom's story continues in this chapter. He meets Fradz and together they move forward. Phodom's mind is only on killing Black Hooded Man and Fradz's mind is full of sexy ladies. Still, they meet many strange new characters and Phodom must use his determination deal with many great challenges. Fradz is mostly on the background making funny dialogues, but as we know, Fradz is more than that...

Beta 1.3a to Beta 1.4

CHANGES:

  • Chapter 5 is now open.
  • Fradz model is now changed. Thanks to Kitabatake who made it from the beginning to the end.
  • Galeoth model is now changed. Thanks Fan for starting the model and making most of it and Kitabatake for finishing it.
  • Whole stats based systems combined to one big, simple and more powerful system. Credits to Kitabatake for helping me creating this new system.
  • A new system! Boss status system. All thanks for Maker who created this system.
  • Now Agility Stat will give critical dmg and evasion chance.
  • Chapter 1 Boss and Chapter 1 Elite Boss are now slightly stronger and they have some new special abilities.
  • Multiboard is now slighly different.
  • Fixed a large amount of smaller and bigger bugs.
  • And many, many more changes...


Notes:

  • Releasing this version took double time than normally because the chapter is so massively. Also some great changes are made to the basic structure of the gameplay. For example, Agility Stat is now more useful not only for Fradz but also for Phodom and Galeoth.
  • There might be some problems with new Fradz and his animations especially in cinematics. Some cinematics might not be at their best possible level at the moment. I haven't viewed any of chapter 2's cinematics and some of chapter 5's. When I have time and motivation I'll go all of them through and do fixes and improvements. Galeoth doesn't have this problem because he doesn't have any new animations. Phodom new model is postponed to far away future.
  • Interludes from 1 to 5 will be added in next few minor versions. This means that I will also finish the system: "Game Points".
  • Some of the Combat Kings will be remade in near future.
  • Also see that the story is different from alpha stage. There are new characters and old characters can speak different lines.
  • I planned to do a tavern scene where you can buy for Phodom and Fradz beer and watch what they talk with each other and other guys in the tavern. I haven't done this scene yet because I need about 20 different little cinematics and I have only planned 5. This will be done later.

Thank you, Aeroblyctos, for providing us such a great champaign. I've never paid so much efforts in playing other champaigns as I do in this champaign. Thank you for your great work!

By the way, why do you want to change Phodom's model? The current model is awesome.

just played the chapter 4 in 1.4a version. Find some problems.

1.It says that each strength increases hit point regeneration by 0, each intelligence increases mana regeneration by 0, and each agility increases critical damage by 0.

2.I cannot dig any holes in chapter 4 for 1.4a version, it's strange because in 1.3a all the holes can be dug.

3.Just a small one. The music in the content page overlaps with the origin war3 music.

Huge bug in chapter 5....When John became the ultimate one, Phodom and Fradz lost all their skills (only with the inborn skill) and their level decreased from 30 to 11.

CHANGES:


  • Removed items at chapter 1 which I forgot to delete. I was testing something before.
  • Fixed dig bug. Now players are able to dig once more in every chapter.
  • Now rock golem will appear at chapter 5.
  • Hopefully fixed Elite Boss Mana Shield Event.
  • Archan is now invulnerable.
  • Guards are now hidden when Doom Lord tries to escape.
  • Gargantuan Special Spell now deals damage.

Thanks. Yea the current model is awesome actually it doesn't need any changes. However few new animations wouldn't hurt. Also now it's more like a paladin and he's "fire warrior".

Fixed. Before it was meant to be something like that but I never thought about losing abilities...

in chapter 1, i can't dig the mana gem like before. when i kill the archmage i had the staff, but if i spare him, i have not the mana gem as he said, i have the anaho relic. Bug here ?
