Indeed - I guess we all hate him for choosing this model... Yet he's right, we don't see too many nice-looking Footman skins around...

Next week I'll try something myself... Holidays...

k, mines done, finally got around to finishing the alpha, and also added some touch ups and haxxed the idea of the mouth from sir sunny(sansui)

couldn't you have chosen a better skin .... like a SpellBreaker? seriusly oh well... my panda stuff doesn't work on footies cause they don't show faces ^_^ oh well i'll have to do something un-pandalike this time.

Yeah, a better model would be nice.

And wow, my vote goes definetly to Werewulf, not that I try to support a team member or anything...

They look nice and demonic, and I really like the preservation of team color.

I only have one crit wulf, I would have removed the pupils altogether, just a fully blood red eyeball would look very cool with him.

It's understandable, in some cases team color can ruin a skin, but others it greatly improves it.

dont give up, id love to see more entries, but i agree, the uvwrap of the footman is...horrible...and the footman creativity is very limited.

yea and back is so !@#$ed up... it cant wrap correctly, since left side=right one, and it cant wrap with down side... shit

just cnp and flip and edit the back texture abit. That im very sure will work.

um.. look at this, it looks good on one side but no on another, and that's same texture part for both sides anyway, im doing this for practice so i will gain more knowledge as further as i go (part that's done is 100% freehand)

That's barely noticable even up close, ingame you won't see it at all. The footman's unwrap is actually much better than many of the other blizzard models.

the ogre unwrap gives a horrible seam thing, i know that....dreadlord i hear is like a puzzle.

and yes, that wont be notiable ingame so its fine. goodluck.

That has zero shading and the it's basically just panting the footman green, make up your own layout for him atleast.

The black needs shading, if that is black metal tons of color would be reflecting off of it.

I plan on remaking a footman to be a Scarlet Crusader

(No offense but this is a horrible model to choose =/ I can't even alpha out the areas I don't like because they are connected to some other area >< so I guess I have to have a horrible looking spike on his shield)

I've been working on my skin all day long but I can't find the back off the helmet. I thought it was the back of the footman ( the body facing backwards )
but that doesn't work. Could someone point the back of the helmet?

near face hair (left and right of it) these are halmet parts. you will see how it's hell hard to make 50X50 part of image wrap correctly with 128X128...
