that doesn't always work, sometimes it raises the closest unit to the caster rather than the one that was defeated, things we still have to tweak out, if we have it trigger based such that when a unit is defeated a dummy with a minor raise spell is created on top of it and the spell is executed, this should make it perfect

I've decided to write some character lore

Ghrenis the cruel
Centuries ago Ghrenis along with many others was send on a crusade into the frozen northlands of Thrinea. Ghrenis was one of a few knights who survived both the harsh perilous journey though the frostlands as well as an enemy ambush which claimed the lives of many of his remaining comrades. When him and a few hundred knights finally reached their destination, the city of Rhumel, the knights fought viciously and slaughtered the city defenders and all who stood in their way, however instead of merely taking the city’s gold and valuables and installing one of their own as the ruler Ghrenis proceeded to mercilessly slaughter the city dwellers and burned the city to the ground. Ghrenis’ fate was unknown after those events. Now centuries later Dioneve has raised Ghrenis to fight by her side as one of her trusted generals.

Ansert the Deciever
Long ago Ansert has pledge his life in the pursuit of knowledge, particularly that of the dark arts. He went off into a heavily wooded region with other “seekers” as they were called and was presumed dead after not having returned for over a year. However some months later he did return, but forever changed, no longer the enthusiastic scholar he once was. People began to fear Answert, some even going as far as saying that he was possessed by some demon or forest spirit. He later disappeared but was recently spotted in the rebel camps alongside the necromancer Dioneve.

@Lord Aiden, look I was gonna edit it, but decided it was too spoilerish,

Bro that's basically like 1/3 the characters story and its supposed to be revealed in the mission, the thing might sound misleading, but then its like giving away the whole plot twist to a movie like before watching it,

think about it, lets say you are about to see the movie Saw(the first one) and before you see it you read that the real killer is the guy laying in the middle of the room, would you still go watch it?

That's seriously weird, never noticed that before, anyway lets all write a bit of lore so we can slowly finish with that at least

Doubted its stalkers, probably just some regulars browsing through at times, ye it is quite odd that we got that big of a view point, but who knows many MouMou or Tidus or someone has gotten really bored as of late

Maybe, well let them look, if anything it means either they are really bored, or they believe us to real exciting to follow

All we have is a playable demo that does not adequately even represent the gameplay the campaign has, it's just 1 mission that's supposed to be chapter 6 or 7, the rest is just technical details, character lore, abilities, story details, some of it can be quite interesting, but lots of this thread has just been chit chat...you can draw your conclusions from this

let's just get one of those e-mail chats or whatever set up so we could do it in a more private setting, feels weird writing here if we got too many people watching

I get your concern, but why does it bother you, if they wanna see what we're writing and all the campaign stuff as well as the chats then let them

How much does pyf or San reading your post bother you? After all it is a public forum, and that's exactly the point of having a thread; so everyone can read it

What we're doing now:

-Writing lore
-Changing names of certain heroes to make them fit better
-Tweaking hero abilities
-Looking for new models

however progress is going at a kind of slow pace

Ok so I had an idea about a mission, let's say you have a mission where you have a paladin and a few Lion Hearts excort several heroes somwhere, one of those heroes is Rasler, if you follow the mission's objective you will arrive at some sort of base and Rasler will execute Haldon for treachery and the next mission you'l; have to rescue the paladin heroand destroy Rasler along with his forces. If instead you used your paladin to destroy rasler and the other two heroes you get a completely different mission next' you'll have to battle against Haldon which will be much more interesting and difficult and you will start off controlling the paladin hero as well as the Lion Hearts that were still alive at the completion of the previous chapter.

Ok this is how I understand what you just wrote:

In a chapter your goal is to escort several heroes including Rasler to a specific location,

Your team besides Rasler and his Heroes consists of a paladin (hero) and a few Lion Hearts (non-hero ultra elite unit)

If you complete the mission by taking Rasler, his heroes as well as your paladin to the specific location you win (you could lose the Lion Hearts as they are non-hero units) and this in turn leads to Rasler executing Haldon(whos not part of the group you have to escort) for treachery and capturing your paladin such that you have to rescue the paladin in the next mission as well as destroy Rasler (which is your main goal in the next chapter)

If you destroy Raslor and his buddies while keeping the paladin alive you get a different ending, the next mission starts with you having the paladin under your control and your goal is to destroy Haldon's large base, and this basically is the "real" rewarding battle.

looks like a good plan. but may i suggest for you to make it more challenging by having the paladin replaced with an archmage or something of a similar nature, such that the lion hearts will do most of the attacking and its up to this particular hero to keep them healed and alive. i think that will make things way more interesting

@Lord Aiden
How would the mission go though? you would be Vernesia (player 7) escorting 3 heroes of Milrein (player 1) to a certain position, and if you use any kind of friendly fire on them they will just suddently start fighting your units?

You would have 1 Archmage hero with healing abilities and 4 Lion Hearts (this is player 7 green, Name: Silventrian forces) you are escorting 3 units: Rasler and 2 other heroes (player 7, Milrign forces) if you friendly fire on them and deal a significant amount of damage to any hero they will basically become hostile and attack your units. The heroes will be hard to take out because they are each level 10, have over 1000 hp each, and some very "useful" abilities
