SvD v2.1



Information SvD is a cat and mouse game similar to Island Defense, Troll vs Elves and Vampirsm Fire. SvD was put into development phase 2012-04-03 and released to the public 2013-08-07. The aim with the map is to have a low filesize, system rich map with easy-to-learn gameplay containing a lot of depth.

-Made a new upgrade called Fortification that reduces damage taken of the draenei wall by 10/20/30/40/50%.
-Elder Treant now have a ranged attack with poison that reduces the attack and movement speed of the struck target by 20%.

Well Adrian works in the same way as Apple, his updates makes little difference and come in a rapid paste, the only actual difference between the two is that his updates does not cost 500$. :D

so i have thought about it and killing the trees over and over and over as draenei is annoying as hell, why not add a building that also takes food away, has low hp like the first towers and links itself to a tree, giving income (depending on your current bank and it should be around the same as you would get for collecting seeds all day for the same amount of trees linked), ofc big trees give more than small ones.

satyr leaving msg is bugged currently.
when the satyr left for real in a game i voted to be the new sat, after i died as draenei obv and respawned as sat, i died instantly for no reason. the next game i was sat and all the shops were dead, too.

Yes because right now draeneis needs less reason to go outside the base when it's not enough that they only walk a couple of centimeters outside their base already you want to remove the need completly making every halfwit able to master the race.

a good alternative would be to create a building that sells the generators or w/e you wanna call it.

each of them costs 1 food and you cannot place another generator in a 5x5 area next to another one, that way a draenei would have to walk quite abit if he decides to use alot of them.

the building starts with a stack of 3 generators and generates one additional each 90seconds.

seems reasonable to me, this way snowballing is possible but theres a certain risk involved in the long run.


what you could do with those generators as a satyr then could be quite fun, make him able to take them over (with an item doesnt cost too much gold), which increases their hp to 50 and they wont lose health over time, still generate gold tho (pretty much like the corrupted shockwave, so if the owner of the generator is at bank 4 he gains XXX gold which then gets transfered to the satyr blabla).

draeneis would have to kill the generator (lumberjack upgrade gets an additional purpose) and leaving the base when you know you will be safe is necessary to make the victory easier.

corrupted generators still drain food from the draenei y.

Damn played the map and this looks very awesome though some problems IN MY OWN point of view. So here it is:

First is Concept/Ideas, this game has the same like concept Vampirism which is quite not original because many games of same concept as this is made but still I like t that you made this improvised through some talent systems and new way of gaining gold and such. If I will to rate this part, 3/5.

Second, terrain. The terrain looks really great and map is filled with proper decors plus the trees that can be destroyed for gold though I would suggest Orcnet's suggestion also. Add some fog for better and atmospheric terrain. I would rate this part a 4/5.

Lastly, Gameplay. Same as Vampirism but as I've said the new additions are the one that made the game unique from the other copies of Vampirism. Though, I do think the towers when in the level of 8+ are quite imba mostly level 11. LOL, 32k damage. It might cost high golds like 96k but with the bank, we can gain money fast plus the tree harvesting... through that we can easily build such strong structures and additionally buy some items at middle part of map. If I would rate this, 3/5.

Overall rating of mine will be 10/15 = 4/5 and +4 REP.

Hey what are those green stone?.. (sunken ruins rocks i think) why the satyr can pass into it?.. its not a block?..

Anyone can pass into them and it's quite simply you just take a model from enviorement that you are able to pass through and you just change the model file.

This should have an AI, at least for the Satyr, allowing people to elect to have the computer play as the Satyr, which would enable them to continue enjoying the game even when they have less players, since that would mean being able to have one more Draenei who would otherwise have had to play as the Satyr.

Writing a script for the Satyr shouldn't be too hard; that's a lot more simple than Draenei.

I have decided to implement an AI for the Satyr due to high demand, however this have to wait a few versions.

You're hardly the first person to suggest this.

Hashjie is on vacation at the moment. Once he returns he will begin working on an AI for the Satyr in Vjass.

I'm back home from schotland right now but I currently have some other jobs to worry about.
I have to implement some newer version of a bank payment option for a website I've created.
If I don't do this before the 30th we might get a fine for using a outdated insecure payment method.

After that I still have another job from an employee I have to spend time in.
So in that sense I like to prioritize work that I get payed for over hobby's. I hope that's understandable.
Anyways, I'll work on it as soon as I get any time.
I can't wait to start on it actually :D

My first guess would be binary code.

This is quite enjoyable, and for now i don't think SvD need AI!

1) Draenei's level 1 tower can attack tree and break them. Every draenei spam level 1 tower in the forest and the tree destroyed by tower nonstop. This is quite unfair for Satyr!

2) After the Satyr leave, then another satyr is chosen. But the satyr doesn't have any spell and his talent point = 0.

3) One of the spell of satyr in the talent tree, the description doesn't complete yet.

4) Everybody get desync when they going to round 2.


I don't think the map should go to round 2 when it's end, or maybe 2~3 round limited. I don't like long games and we can just remake if we wan play it again.

OR you're asking me to leave? >:eek:

I would be happy to join you and since I haven't been able to play since patch 1.0 since you're giving us updates at a more rapidly than my cats bring in prey. (The teenage boy has a record of 3 dead and two living mice in 24 hours, the older female has a record of 5 dead mice, 2 living, one dead great tit and one dead snake.)

And this horrible comparising was my twisted way of saying keep up the good work.

The gaming platform Garena emulates a local area network per channel. Every user in the same channel gets connected to the same network. They can then host and join games through the LAN menu of wc3. Now, nobody detains bots from connecting. Some are permanently hosting games and thereby clogging the game list. Wc3's LAN menu displays only the 20 newest games (bots are usually rehosting every few seconds). Recently, I noticed some bots are hosting this map SvD all the time, too. Of course, I would suspect the author and/or the fanbase first.
