Hosted Projects have it all organized but it's harder to get there than to browse through Maps. Many map threads have few comments. In them the other authors could just post something without having to edit the opening post. The latter could be done from time to time by the main author. However, in map threads with lots of comments, searching for author posts/updates could be time consuming (if they are many and you'd have to search their name by thread each time). Thus, maybe, if it isn't possible to give authority to more than 1 user to one map thread, then maybe it would be possible for each author's post (integrated in the thread as bundles have more than 1 author) to be automatically placed under the main/opening post between some sort of hidden/spoiler brackets?

It's not a bad idea, actually, but wouldn't it cause many awkward first posts to be displayed?
They would be hidden unless users click for them to be shown. I guess the thread master would then be able to further sort things, for instance editing/deleting those posts as to integrate their message in the opening/main post. Or something like the way reviews appear.
