"You saved me, now I give to you this badge"

What's the point of playing for days, if the Gym leader just comes and gives to you the badge? He must say:
"You saved me, now I grant you 3 wishes.

Ops... Here's the correct:
"You saved me, now I grant you the right of challenge me in a pokemon battle."

Ok, i have been non-active for a reason, and that reason is quite fucked actually,,
After i had made every enter house/lab/PC/market thing in vJass,, i tried the cam system, but it didnt quite work out,, so i left it for what it was,, and did some more things,,
now yesterday,, i implented the GUI Cam system again, and tried if it worked,, now somehow it didnt work! =S,, and i couldnt enter any house anymore! I figured out no trigger worked anymore! No (v)Jass trigger, no GUI triggers!
I contacted Wazzz, and he had a look at it also,, but couldnt find out what happened also =(
So he contacted Illidan(Evil)X, he is going to take a look at it,, and hopefully be our saving angel,,
This means the project is down for a while, hopefully we can get it on this week again, but i cant promise anything,, if it is really bad, we'll have to copy every system and implent it in a new map,, that means terrain and so on has to be done again (sorry),,
I didnt want to disturb you guys yesterday with this bad news, because it could have been fixed,, but unfortunately it didnt,, so Illidan(Evil)X will try it,,
Meanwhile, all we can do is make some systems,,

Sorry to tell you the bad news guys! =(

The Restless Ghost

Part 1:
The clock is 00.00 and it is raining, when you arrive to Grim-Town.
As you are walking towards the town, you suddenly stop up near a gravestone.
And pick up an item.
-Diary page 3-
You hear an old man scream, and see a Pokemon looking shadow, which is attack and old man.
<Battle against the Shadow Pokemon (Haunter - Leavel 35)>
The shadow Pokemon disappear.
Old man: Thanks! Without I would have been dead.
You: What was that thing?
Old man: I don’t know. Maybe some kind of ghost. I apologize but I have to go.
You: Hey wait!

The old man walks away. But in the rush he drops an item.
-Black Pearl-
You: Hey you dropped something!
But the old man is already gone. You reach the Grim-town as sunrise.

Part 2:
The clock is 00.00 and it is raining. A lady are crying near the gravestone, where you did found the Diary page 3.
Lady: She was just a kid! How could someone do such a thing?
You: I know it maybe doesn’t concern me, but why are you crying?
Lady: It’s my daughter... She was murdered not many days ago.
You: What happened?
Lady: She was poisoned. And the murderer didn’t leave any clues. Only an page from a diary.
You: May I see it?
Lady: Here take it.
You get an item, and the lady walks away.
-Diary page 1-
Suddenly the shadow Pokemon appears out of nowhere.
Ghost: Give it back to me...
You: What? It can talk!

<Battle against the Shadow Pokemon (Haunter - Leavel 36)>
The shadow Pokemon disappear.

Requirements: You have to beat the gym leader which gives you the HM Flash.

Part 3:
The clock is 00.00 and it is raining. At the town you meet the old man at the library.
Old man: Hey you! Do you know where my Black Pearl is?
You: Well... I tried to tell you, but then you where already gone.
Old man: Do you still have it!?
You: Relax... Yes I still have it.
You give the Heartstone to the old man.
Old man: Perfect! Now excuse me but I have to go.

You step in front of the door.
You: Not this time! Now... Tell me what is going on. Why would that Ghost want it?
Old man: Get out of my way!

<Battle against the old man (Weezing - Leavel 35. Arbok – Level 36. Muk – Level 37)>
The old man push you away and run out of the city. He drops 2 items. You pick them up.
-Diary page 2-
Once again the shadow Pokemon appears out of nowhere.
Ghost: Give it back to me...
<Battle against the Shadow Pokemon (Haunter - Leavel 37)>
Ghost: Return the Black Pearl!
You: The old man! He’s the one who got it!

The shadow Pokemon disappear.
Right out of the city you catch up with the old man.
You: Stop! You aren’t going anywhere.
Again the shadow Pokemon appears out of nowhere. Then the shadow Pokemon turns in Haunter.
Haunter: Give it back to me...
Old man: Hahaha!

<Double Battle against the old man (Gengar – Level 39 and Golebat - Level 38)>

Requirements: You control Haunter Level 39 and 1 of your own Pokemons in this battel. Haunter canno't become withdraw.

Haunter takes the Black Pearl.
You: Leave this town and do never come back!

The old man runs away.
Haunter: I am sorry...
You: It's okay Haunter. You thought that I where the one which murdered your trainer, and then stole the Black Pearl.
Haunter: Yes... Would you become my new trainer?
You: Not only your trainer Haunter, but also you friend.


Items:
Diary page 1:
I have used the poison from my Pokemons, to kill the
little girl, now nobody knows it was me who stole the Black Pearl.
Her loyal Pokemon may become a problem to me,
but right now thats my smallest concern.

Diary page 2:
The Black Pearl is even more valuable then I thought!
With this thing I would not only become rich, but the
power of my Ghost Pokemon will also grow to a whole new
level!

Diary page 3:
I am leaving Grim-town, with the Heartstone in my
pocket in a few days. When I arrive to the city, will I sell the
Heartstone to the highest bidder. And nothing can stop
me!

Black Pearl:
Gives +5 to all stats of a Ghost or water type Pokemon.

Moves:
Flash:
In combat: Decreases the target's Accuracy stat.
Out of combat: Makes all invisible Pokemons visible to you.

Please give me some feedback what is good/bad?

I made an infinite loop which killed all Init functions, so no triggers were created, which means not a single thing could happen,,

And Yixx, you're a N00b, he he... I'm glad that the project is up, but sad that we can't base it in the UTM. Anyway, you can Export the doodads you need and use in our map. The credits are in the triggers.
 
Hey, speaking of that childish image of Pokemon, perhaps we should make the quests, well, more like how Darkxs displayed it. I really liked it, and the diary fragments made me think of great RPG's such as Oblivion itself. Keep up the good work! I want all quests to be like this (not all to so much extent, but the general idea of making each quest a story in itself: A beginning, a complication, how you overcome it being what you put in ;D). However, Pokemon is also a game you can't fail, so the complication would be, primarily, problem solving linked with MORTAL KOMBAT!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, Darkxs, where did you dissappear off to? We thought you were making all those kick-ass icons >.<
And yeah, a story of rivals sounds good, except how are Charizard and Dragonite rivals? Lol, could work for, let's say, Mew and Mewtwo (a little on the 'op' side, though :S), but I love the idea in general :D

And these quests will really put our map in another tier, because we don't make games for lil' kids like Nintendo! But I suggest only the late Main Quests. We can't start the game with such elaborated quest. We must think in the balance, increasing the dificulty over the time.

Charizard and dragonite...
Look similar, i mean take a look at the shapes...
both fly
both are considered pretty good pokemon (last stage of evolution)
both are incredibly rare
both have some pretty awesome moves
so you can base it on an obticle race between the two, were they can use there abilities to get to <<location>>

I love these quests but wasnt the whole point supposed to set up all those pokemon to fight you at the end? Maby set it up with a gastly instead?
just been thinking about the integration with the bnet version:
*Is it just gonna be a round robin fight?
*Trade capabilities... to get gangar, golem & alakazam
*Bonuses for actually conecting via bnet, such as rare items for winning?

Well Wazzz as HFR told you I WAS playing WOW, but I am taking a break to work for you all :)
Since I am very intrested in writing storys/quests for the map.
About that HFR is it okay for you that I write down the story of gyradose using your ideas? Cause I have a great idea about the "Great red one" which would fit in with your ideas. You know? Like a fusion of my ideas and yours?

Well ill give it a shot and then we can discuss whats bad and good about your story and mine.

Well, I think I can safely say that Story Writing is HFR's area, so we'll wait for him to get back on that. As for now, I love what you've come up with! Very much the style that creates a new sleek look for the Pokemon map and makes it more serious :)

You: How can you know that?
Little Boy: Cause I saw him last night. In the past few days has begun to crush, destroy and sink the fishermen’s boats. And if they can’t fish in the lake anymore, will there and the towns economy become just as deep as bottomless-lake.
You: That is terrible! I will see what I can do to stop him.
Little boy: Thanks! If you want to challenge him, you have to draw him to you. Everything else would be to dangerous.
You: How do I do that?
Little Boy: He likes tearscale fishes, but especially bloodscale fishes. Try to catch some and use them as bait. Here take my Rod.

Part 2:
After you have caught 25 Tearscale and 5 bloodscale fish, using your Rod. Do a great blue gyarados appear and eat all of your fishes.

Well, LoS,, i cant find it either =\,, you know what? I'll try the catch system myself,, will you rewrite the Leveling system so it fits TM's and HM's??

But i think it is easier with vJass, you can just attach a struct to a unit, instead of an integer value,,

I think you should not check for it's own attacks, but for every attack/TM/HM in the game (i will set that),, and just make a button also for the HM, but make it unable to be clicked, or maybe that you get the Dialog again,, dunno,,

Darkxs, ummm, let's see... One think before my "judge": Please stop writing everything in COLORFUL Letters. It's really annoying and you can even be neg reped by this.

About the story, well, your quest has a good story but it's, basically, just collection... Also, it's good to give a "mysterious" feeling to the quest. In mine, you arrives in the village whitout knowing nothing and with the pressure of attacks everyday on the poor fishmen. You doesn't even know who's attacking, cause the old man only says "A giant creature". What you have to do? Search and investigate.

Also, a "spooky" feeling, like in your Haunter's story, can be good. I think you can make the Kangaskhan tribe story. Afterall, it's good, but I already made >.>

Yixx: Your dragon almost deleted your Pokemon Signature >.<...

Well, I guess it's time for Kabutops:

You arrive at Blah Blah town, a very old and small town in the middle of 2 mountains. There, you enconter a girl, that challenges you to battle.

Won the battle: 300 gold
Lose: Nothing

After the battle, she tells you that she is a archeologist, and her father is commanding a expedition to a cave at the bottom of mount Teragard. You decide that you'll go and...

Quest: It's from the deeps!

Objective: Follow the quests.

Now the girl will follow you. Every battle will be double and she has... weak pokemon, as always, only a strong Onix. Arriving at the mountain...

I think you'll need it to check its own attacks otherwise you might end up with a onix with fly or a pidgy with dig etc etc ad nauseam.

Quests?

As you know HFR you have/are making alot of the quest right at the time which is great! And as I said do I also want to make some. But I am going to create the music for our map (Which is going to take some time) So I do not got as much time for the quest writing. That is why I now tell you this:
So far you have made/are making 5/7 quests about our favorite Pokemons and I have made 1/7. We still need quests for:
Pokemons:
Dragonite
Articuno
Moltres
Zapdos
Mewtwo
Mew
HM's:
Rockshash
Strength
Cut
Surf
Flash
Fly
Besides my Haunter quest is the only quests I realy want to do the Mew and Mewtwo quest/saga. So to make a deal with you do you create the quests for: Dragonite, Articuno, Moltres and Zapdos. Then ill create the quest for Mew and Mewtwo. Then you have made 9/12 and I have made 3/12.
The HM quests can we create together.
And I do got a very good and long quest for mew and mewtwo!

i have 1 question, have you guys decided how many players this map is going to be? and how will that work because players cannot share the same arena and some of the quests might be a little weird when more than 1 person is doing them.
 
There's two maps, one is single player the other multi-player. The single player (probably going to be a campaign) will be the story, and the multi-player will use your progress to fight other players.

The Mew and Mewtwo quest/saga would be pretty big, and I like what you've come up with so far, so we'll make it a community effort. But you come up with the basis (providing HFR doesn't have his own idea for it yet o_O), and we just say what needs changing and what doesn't :D

Path to Power/Under Powered-Zapdos Quest

I take it there will be a Power Plant in Cerulean City?

You enter Cerulean City and, finding the power is out, are unable to use the Poke'mon Center, or challenge the Gym Leader (can't see battle or use Center's equipement). The Gym is empty, and the nurse tells you that they won't be back until the power is restored. She informs you of the Power Plant to the east, and that the electibuzz like to go there to syphon the power, which can cause blackouts.

Heading there, you fight many poke'mon and a few trainers, but finaly reach the powerplant. All is calm and quiet, but the deeper into the plant you go, a hummining of equipment can be heard and, as you reach the outside of the main power room, hear the cawing of a large bird. What you see surprises you (Zapdos :D with lightning heading to it, even throughout the battle. Possibly being healed slowly as well. :p)

Quest Name: Path to Power/Under Powered (City also is "underpowered" (less energy :p))

Reward: |\Possible Zapdos/| and Gym is opened, Poke'mon Center is usable.

Note: You may see electabuzz, Magnamite, and other smaller electric poke'mon while going through the Power Plant. :p

Hive doesnt host forums anymore, and they wont for a while.
Atleast thats what ive heard cus when we asked about one for the D3 project they didnt even respond and later when we asked again they said that they wont host any project. IDK if they changed that though.

I was talking about this forum The Hive Workshop Hosted Forums - The Hive Workshop - A Warcraft III Modding Site
These do not have real hosted projects but there are forums for individual forums for projects in here. Did you not notice the notice that comes every time we log in? People can get forums here even now.
