I was downloading spell maps on here and for some odd reason they overwrote the game ive been making for 3 years. I downloaded more than 9 different spells so my map isn't in the File -> recent documents section anymore because it stops at 9.. Is there any way to see past this number? Is there any way I can find my map? Anyone? *cries*

Eh? You're crying because its not on the recent documents list?

Or are you saying that you accidentally replaced your map with the spell map?

Both =x
Except I never intentionally "replaced" my map with the spell maps, just that I opened the spell maps and they overwrote mine...

Interesting how about the good old windows (or Linux or what ever system you are using) search function. But if you really overwrote it then it is gone.

We all learn it the hard way sooner or later, since we all make mistakes. If its been overwritten and saved over its no longer there and there's nothing that can be done unless you had a back up copy.

Warning to all: if you download spells or any other map make sure it doesnt randomly overwrite something you don't want it to!

what exactly is the maps -> "Test" folder? I thaught I created it myself, inside it there's a map called "WorldEditTestMap", I had saved my map on there once for some reason, without wanting to. Did I put that there and name a folder "Test" or is it there by default? And if so, what is it for?

Oooooh, okay, I see what I did: I saved my map in that "Test" folder thinking it was a folder I had made. So when I opened the spell maps, they automatically went to this Test folder and hence overwrote my map. Not cool. I'll know what its for now, and for anyone reading this, make sure you keep your projects far and away from the "Test" folder!
