now wait a minute. So, you want me to be detected no matter what I do, aside from moving. opening launch bay doors doesn't take much power, so I can send whole waves of fighters, without my cloak dissapearing. now, for warp purposes, the sulabon could claok, so why can't I? I have different types of claoking devices. My juggernaught has 10 reactors, and doesn't need them all, so I can claok and use the warp reactors and weapons. same with my destroyer, but with four reactors.

Why wouldn't I be able to send messages? if someone contacted me, would you have me compromise my position that way?
Bombs make sense, since the shockwaves don't go through my ships.
I can't turn them on when I'm in a system? There has got to be a better way to say that.
Remember, this is Shivan technology, you wouldn't understand it. You have your secrets, and the Shivans have theirs. leave it at that.

uh, no. just no. This is to keep all cloaking technologies balanced -.- you may have ten reactors, but I only have 6 small ones (better than the larger ones). It's not fair if you can warp around while cloaked, while all your enemies and allies have to warp in and then cloak, thus telling you how many there are while we can't tell how many ships you have. -.-

You can be in a system while cloaked, but if your ship is being rather active, then it's kinda pointless. This is for massive campaigns in systems, nebulas, etc.

If you use comms, you risk being discovered by nearby ships. (from other players)

Ok, look. If I were to warp out, the cloaking drops, and I'm visible. The invisibility is meant for stealth. If I communicate to the other ships and give away my position, what's the point in cloaking? my communications are on secure channels, no random transport will ever catch on.

If anyone uses comms, they risk being found. There's no point in trying to limit what I can do. THis is a scifi rp, it's for the imagination. If peole started limiting others, then it just gets annoying. Besides, you keep complaining about me calaoking, then going to Shackuras and wiping you out or dropping troops on your military defences/bases. You don't take in account that I have self control, and I also said I wasn't going to attack you. You like to exxagerate what I CAN and WILL do.

btw, My juggeranught has 10 LARGE reactoers, it's about the size of you mining juggernaught. It needs ten large reactors because of the beam weapons. It was designed to be able to take out planets, hence it's size.

and you got it through "favors"? -.-

I am limiting the capabilities so no one is able to cloak through any warp form (like the Star Wars one, where they would have no warning of an entry, or infinite's blinking in method) and be able to place anything they want without interferrance, like bombs, or troop transports sitting all around military installations, remaining cloaked and waiting to deplot, ready to claim bases, factories, mines, and even guns to help blow my ships or anyone elses out of the way, corporate buildings (Black Sun in this case), and even the fighter bays of my ships........ -.- If I had such abilities by having a cloak, I would definetly do it. But just because you wouldn't, doesn't mean someone else wouldn't jump at the chance... -.-

no, I bought most of my stuff. Just cause I get stuff, doesn't mean it's free. besides, they're more willing to help me since I'm building "their empire" (will be mine eventually, when I'm ready.) *As the invisibility devices are installed on the fleet, the Shivan planet continues to develop. Tall, black spires stand out of the ground. the subgravity, fit perfectly for the Shivans. Cannons were built and set up to protect them from space. The four, now outdated, cruisers continue on their patrols of the system. New peices of technology are developed to improve upon what the Shivans have built.*

*Archons move in and stop var's personel, leting only the admiral pass* Thee shall wait! *ecchoes the archonic voices from the 4 meter tall, burning entities*

Btw.. an archon is quite scary up-close, when you can see just his skin on arms, legs and torso due to blue flames of Psionic energy :p not to mention the scary energy bursts from eyes

lol I've been pretty busy too. However, i've managed to get the time to start making another game. So far, no plot, just a bunch of sprites. XD plus, I have almost nothing to go for right now. Posting on installations of invisibility devices kindof sucks.

Making new game? I usually like to mod games... like this one: www.datarealms.com
Cortex command... quite awesome I think...

uh, it's more of the fact that they have to sit in the side lines when they are members of my squadron, or are ranking officers on notible ships in the fleet.. Not all of them are near admiral. Besides, even if they are admiral, they would still serve under me, me being Grand Admiral and all :p And at the moment, I don't have the time or resources to create other fleets for them to command even if I wanted to. :/ And My squadron isn't all that high in ranking, they are just high enough to take the bridge if I am unable. :p and being on the flagship, they must interpret what I would likely do, when dictating the fleet :p which can be hard. They know that, as the most elite marines around, their career choice will not lead my squad to commanding their own ships. Just serving on the flagship and seeing new places :p

As for the officers... they still have a LONG way to go before they get their own ships :p Other than the captains, they will remain on the defense fleet for a long time :p

*Protoss Executor walks to the Grand Admiral* Do not worry, grand admiral, for your squad shall join in shortly. Now.... let the ceremony BEGIN!

*all protoss high templars pull out long staffs from their robes and start lightly stomping the floor with 'em* Ommm! *they start a quiet psionic melody, while still stomping with their staffs* Thorasoh'Caph! *the archons send a couple of bolts up where thy arc and get absorbed by the ceiling* *all that gets repeated more and more, with the psionic melody growing louder*

Brethren! *a bit archonic voice of the Protoss Executor suddenly creates silence* We have gathered here on a special purpose, Of something which has been rarely done before! A Khalan initiation, as we call it. And today..... for the first time...... the honored ones are not Protoss!

*staff stomping and psionic melody continues, with archons arcing up*

*as the stomping and psionic melody grows louder, (psionic melody like you get when you click a Protoss or Xel'naga temple under your controll), the Protoss Executor claps his hands together and they start to glow. Soon he separates his hands to reveal a rather solid orb of psionic energy floating in his left hand*

Aproach, grand admiral! *again, his a bit archonic voice stops the stomping and melody*

sacrid... Psionic powers are meant only for SC units, (mainly Protoss), so you don't have any [prefix]Psionic[/prefix] powers.

Have you seen the Luminoth? I'm not going at "I deserve power like that too!", I'm just saying that the Luminoth and Chozo have powers like that. If you think var has it, it means that my race also has it, since they're so similiar. In Metroid Prime, the Chozo Ghosts made balls of energy out of thin air. and in Metroid Prime 2, the Luminoth could make holograms in their hands and could float. Their battle suits (found on many dead Luminoth) showed signs that they could make energy balls as well.

well, the Chozo race i control abandoned their "magical heritage" ages before my charecters family line was developed. (rather new family line, unlike the ages old one) I'm sure that if they rediscovered it, and instructions on how to do so, some Chozo would attempt to regain their heritage. There definetly are still remainders of such ages (Chozo would stuck to the path instead of going rogue :p Rogue, as in, heading towards technology only :p) but they are few, and even fewer on Shakuras.

only cause you came in while i was trying to go mine 1 moon. Then I warped out, warped in, and smashed you in the side. Then used my beam cannons to damage the inside of your ship. XD I loved that part. Now days, no one gives the opportunity for anything like that. lol Then you limped away.

i had fighters taking out bombs before they exploded and attacking the interceptors and yuor drones. Why do you continue to complain about my destroyer when you know that massive amounts of incoming energy would've made the subspace tunnel unstable and me lose my ship? I wasn't going to start over.

cell phones? btw, as I just told you (outside rp), the planetcracker bombs would have amp waves worse than nukes. So, since the bomb makes such a big boom, how powerful do you think the emp waves would be? (EMP wave times the number of bombs he used at a constant use of bombs) You'd be scrambling my communication, so there'd be no way for me to tell you to stop, unless I stopped firing, which I wasn't planning on doing anytime soon. XD

or your warp drive engaging... that's a pretty good indication.......

And with this new realization that there WOULD be an EMP field :)P), I can use it to scramble all enemy comms, and maybe (if close enough) some systems! :D

I always wondered why they never got reinforcements......
