no custom campaign on reforged??

Hey, coming back to warcraft 3 and hive after a long time because I got the reforged version of the game knowing it included the classic version too, and I just realized there's no option for custom campaigns?? checked old similar threads but all of them were from 2020

Back in 2020, custom campaigns were still removed. But they have been re-added, so you can play them on the latest patch of Wc3.

If you have Warcraft III installed from the Battle.net, it will always be on the latest patch of the Reforged build (1.36.2, as of this writing), which has the working SP mode, including the custom campaigns (there was even no SP mode during early releases of Reforged build). You can always play older maps and campaigns on the latest patch. Do note that there WILL be bugs if you attempt to play custom campaigns on the latest patch.

And one important thing: It is NOT necessary to buy Reforged if you are going to use the latest patch of Warcraft III. Reforged, in question, refers to the new contents (like revamped SP campaign maps) and HD graphics. Most custom campaigns AND maps that are available on this forum will still use the SD assets. Of course, you won't be able to play custom campaigns and maps that are HD-exclusives (like CSW and WC3:RR). As long as you have a legitimate copy of the Reign of Chaos (ROC), you can use it to install the latest patch of Warcraft III with the SD graphics.

If you are still insistent of using a legacy version of WC3 for the custom campaigns because of the stability (some campaigns can only be playable on legacy builds) then you'll have to download the game from this thread below (best to use the game files instead of game installers if you want to play both Reforged and legacy builds side-by-side). But again, this classic client is abandoned, you can't play anything besides SP or LAN on it. At least, not an official Blizzard server.
