Well besides the point that its totally irrilevant from the tread and would have been wiser to pm me about it or post a message in my profile, I can only advice you to look in tutorials and such. But if you have some question, more or less specific, I'll only be happy to help you out (depending on the problem, as I am not using 3dsMax I can't help you there).

Actually you can't - It gives a horrible quality - You can't save it as a tga and you can't add the needed 32 bit channel.. But besides that yes. Its primely Photoshop and Magos. Although I for some special task is using milkshape as well.

As written above - But you can also find several tutorials about this subject.. and there is a lot... Though many of them is just slightly modified versions of someone else's.

This request page serve as a place for everyone that does not bother to do it them selves.. wants something special or need adjustments to it.
 
Hello, im looking for a loading screen and was wondering if any one could do it.
I'm looking for something similar to this:

But i would like a sun shining over the horizon onto the earth, and the sun has to be really close to earth. And also if you could, make the other planets in the background too, semi close to the back of the sun. If you can do this get back to me, if you cant ty anyways :D

I'll email you a sketch of what i am looking for. The sun needs to be really close to the earth, the other planets dont really matter but they still ened to be visible if possible :D I would attach the file but i have dial up and it wont load D:

Okay I grabbed my kit and drew this:

It kinda looks like I wanted it to... and kinda doesn't. Remember this is of a larger size and quality then what the real screen will be.

OMG man that is amazing!!!!!!!! that is a 9.99/10 loading screen right there!!! :D i wonder if spet can beat it :DDDD

Its an half half, meaning that first I made a circular selection in Photoshop, then drew (with mouse) the "sun" like areas in black and white. Then adjusted the colors to what I wanted... Made some more layers, one which I made look slightly like a liquid copy of the first one and made it 50 see through, and using a mask removed the parts where I didn't want it to look liquid. I made some glow using a soft brush. I also made a black white mask layer which I used to make those yellow "light" movements on it (filter>liquify-> draw a fitting path -> accept it, then set to overlay).
The background is a combination of 10 different brushes. The medium planet is a mix between a circle (basic brush) and a layer with "glow" (white soft brush). The smallest one is black and white drawing of random planet scaled down.

Yea thats about it (not everything I did, but the overall)

I need something with a castle and an orc warlord, or something kinda like that...I also posted one a while back but I don't think it got noticed. I don't need both of them right now though. If you could just do one, that would be perfect :smile: If you wanted the other one I posted I could link it again. It had a dwarf and a troll on it.

It would be very helpful if you could find some pictures of which we can get more of an idea off of, like what the castle should look like and what you want the background to look like, but ill see what i can do ;)

Ah don't worry bout the castle, I couldn't find a decent picture and really suck at drawing...for the background, either plain black or a dark red would look good I think. You could just put the picture in the middle, since it's not really wide enough for a whole loading screen. Thanks for helping :smile:

Edit: Will be back in the morning to see if the screens done. If not, take your time I'm nowhere close to being done my map.
