Moldfang Re-Reforged


Custom rendition of what Moldfang, leader of the Redpine tribe of gnolls, may have looked like before his death and resurrection in the Western Plaguelands. The model was fully developed by myself for Warcraft 3 Re-Reforged. When using this model, it'd be great if you linked or credited @InsaneMonster's project as well.

The model is imported following the same method as any other model.
  • Import the .mdx main file to your map using the Asset Manager at the path: Moldfang.mdx.
  • Import the .mdx portrait file to your map using the Asset Manager at the paths: Moldfang_portrait.mdx.
  • Import the textures to your map using the Asset Manager at the paths:
    • Units/Creeps/Moldfang/Unit_Gnoll_Moldfang_Main_Diffuse.dds
    • Units/Creeps/Moldfang/Unit_Gnoll_Moldfang_Hair_Diffuse.dds
Updates from Fugrim:
The original design was changed to a more fierce look with a longer weapon more refined weapon and the small armor collisions have been fixed.

Oh, also... @InsaneMonster does the area they live in consist of red pines? Would make sense with their tribal name.

No and no. I guess we could say that having red pines scattered around the map was not a priority not that good with consistency in mind.

Hmm Gnoll needs more love too, and i think The Reforged version did a great for the model, and your model shows how badass the dogge is xD

What would the model section looks without CSW and Re-Reforged project?

IDK, but now it looks like an amazing roster of carefully crafted units.

Wonderful addition to the gnoll roster, can be used as a named unit or a common one both work.

His silhouette looks really different from the other gnoll (while still being perfectly gnoll-ish), good, good.

EDIT: Also, I love that the huge pauldrons are teamcoloured, makes it really readable in the midst of battle.

The new update version of the model is now in.
The look is mostly the same of course with just some armor changes and updates to some collisions and a new more longer and refined weapon.
