He rated my Naruto map Unacceptable then rejected it with the following message

A poor quality map:

- Horrible terrain
- Unoriginal spells
- Boring gameplay
- Bad tooltips
- Spelling errors
- Bad packaging

Eventhough this is a different version, the moderator is suppose to spot any potential in it that might shine.

I just want to hear the reason behind his rejection as I saw his previous comments on other maps, they were not as harsh. Problem is, the rating isn't logical. Provided the comment is cold and deadly, no way to be as constructive as the moderator wants it to be.

We have had a lot of these threads now, and they won't change anything.
Moderators know what they are doing and what he said is probaly true.
Try to improve what he said, make a map development thread, look up some tutorials instead of makign these threads which will not help you.

I agree his feedback could be looked upon as offensive. Statements like that usually must be followed by an explanation to back it up.

If he thinks your map is bad, he should post suggestions of what he thinks could it better. Instead of pointing out all the negative only. It's not very motivating.

However, even though his feedback was rather rough. You should see it as feedback nonetheless, it's an honest oppinion.

If he thinks your map is bad, he should post suggestions of what he thinks could it better. Instead of pointing out all the negative only. It's not very motivating.

As far as I know, the moderator have the right to just point out the main flaw of the map without the need to make a full elaboration of what is wrong with it. Elaboration could be consider as bonus only.

If not, Ralle would not have implement a status known as "Review", a status that are given to approve map where a bunch of constructive critism was being written by the staff itself.

Eventhough this is a different version, the moderator is suppose to spot any potential in it that might shine.

You are suppose to ensure your map quality to be decent before you even upload it. Read the fine print of the rules before you start rattling.

The whole map is overall very small. The terrain is worse than it's loading screen. I don't get what your idea of gameplay is. Picking a hero and gaining all of his spells and shit isn't exactly fun. Not to mention the spells weren't anything amusing or fun. The first time I used Rasengan it bugged. In the end, as bounty stated the spells werent original at all, and sucked. The map's quality is really crappy and thus I'm placing a 1/5 Rejected. You need to practise more and stop basing your map ideas on some crappy japanese anime. I don't care if you like Naruto or w/e, you need to start being original, write your own stories have your own ideas and attract attention, don't give me your bullshit of OH BUT I LUV NARUTO U SUX, get original. I doubt you haven't seen all of the 3190416 Naruto maps around, so what makes you think this will be the famous original and best Naruto map. Seriously, stop wasting your time with this. Make your own original map with a good story, something that attracts attention, not this.

The map got rejected.. I can't update it anymore, not mentioning the bad non-constructive feedback, his actions are like a XXX person without a profession, I suggest he quit his job as a moderator because there wasn't any profession in him I see in that feedback.

I understand EVERY situation like this, because this is probably the 10th time it's happened, and it's EXACTLY the same as the last time. Naruto maps never have good terrain.
Naruto spells are never originial.
Gameplay is almost the same as all hero arenas
Tooltip, one of the most important factor for newbies.
Spelling error, minor though in my opinion.

Why? The moderator doesn't have time to spot all the potential and what's the difference? Looking at your minimap already tells me that this looks like a hero arena.

I have 3 good reason why he would not be banned.

1) He is moderator, the worst thing could happen to him is demotion or -rep.

2) You are the one who started all this bullshit, by posting and rattling at wrong section. Admin decide each case by basic on who is guilty first and who deserve the punishment the most. In this case, you are guilty of posting wrong section and does not follow the submission rules.

3) He was flaming because you been given a clear answer of why your submission was rejected and yet you continuesly acting like a illiterate person by not trying to understand it. This have naturally pissed him off, he could have better control over his temper; but guess who still trying to act like a smart ass by pretend to be mr right and ignore his message despite being told several times?
