This is the Walker that Ryan pilots

What I mean is that I requested the Mechashark Hammerhead Goblin Sub.
That one was too difficult, at least as far as I understood it. The Odin is far more complex than that shark.

Btw, if you used the back, floatation thingy that the sea giant has, you would technically get like 40% done on the mechashark. For anyone here in the thread that is curious about taking that request. The one currently working on my requests told me that it was too hard. The rest in my list appeared to be simple for him tho. Anyhow, if anyone else is interested in taking that one, it would be awesome. ;D

Just a question:
I'm a 3ds Max user and I was wondering how can I give a model an in-game texture or make it invisible (if no another 3ds user here then tell me another method ^^)

Make the model with texture applied however you do it in 2ds (I use milkshape) then export the model is .mdx then convert to .mdl then you just put in the texture paths as usual, convert back to .mdx .

If you want to make a texture invisible go into magos model editor, open your model, go into the material manager, keep clicking till you find the material you want transparent, then you just do some more clicking until you get to an editing area with a dropdown box that says stuff like "additive", "transparent, etc... just select one of those click ok, then save your model.

*Wrote this in a hurry so its probably a bit hard to figure out :goblin_good_job:*

Wouldn't the skins from the sc2 model not work in Wc3, I heard they are like 1000x100+. Wc3 is normally 512x512 max.

All what I say is that having a sc2 model in a warcraft 3 game would be cool why don't you guys create a model from scratch and make it look like a sc2 model?

I assume that it's complicated to do. The model, with decent quality, will be huge, the effects and animations will be extremely hard. Custom textures will also take up additional space or the quality will suffer.
No matter how you look at it, if a Warcraft 3 version is made, it will be huge. It will be time consuming. It will be extremely hard work. It may even be beyond the skills of these guys.

Jonathan: sc2 models are hard to create, since it got many vertices (but i managed to create the thor from sc2, take about 3 months), and the texture (i export the sc2 one) got too big in size (the thor it self has 1 & 4 mb, mega byte!), so, these model isn't worth for multiplayer maps

Was the model 1MB and the texture 4MB? Because I could reduce at least 2-3MB off the texture and still have decent enough for warcraft 3 playing.
I mean, the Odin and the Thor is basically the same, so you could upload your model here. Because you did say that it took you three months, I assume that's not just bad grammar again. XD

Mmmm but there is also a sc2 model in warcraft 3 there is a guy with a gun can't remember the units name but its from startcraft 2 ....but I'm not saying it has to be as good quality as the sc2 one I'm saying it must be warcraft 3 quality

Thor has 2 different textures, one is the back rail cannon, and the other is thor's body parts, the texture of rail cannon is 1 mb, and the body's part is 4 mb, the thor it self almost took 2 mb (in .mdx, in .mdl almost 6mb)

I know I can cut down the textures in quality for useability. Just post the stuff and I'll work my magic. The model itself is something I can't do anything about tho.
