Star Wars is a cultural phenomenon. I hope it will be the same for the WarCraft Universe.

In an attempt to wrap this thread in the WC universe, let us not forget Azeroth designates as much a continent as a planet. This fact alone ties it to other Blizzard universes, like StarCraft. And maybe other fictional universes by other authors, why not ? Blizzard already borrows from much of them, anyway.

Hmmm that's hard for me. I guess that, nowadays, I'd pick Star Wars.

Warcraft lore started really cool until WoW, from that on I couldn't take it seriously any longer (and I tried! I even read one of those official books, Tides of War). The story comes up everytime with an even more lame (lamer?) excuse for war, taurens riding motorcycles and massive battles with enormous losses on both sides. The next day everything's fine, no great consequences, just like how simpson's world gets normal again at the beginning of every episode.

Even though I'm much into medieval stuff than futuristic stuff, Star Wars didn't reach that low quality level of lore (yet).
