Well, i feel retarded, because i cant get it going.

I changed the Attack 1 - Range (Attacks enabled is Attack 1 Only) to 600, changed Projectile Speed to 1000, gave the Projectile an Art, changed Attack 1 Weapon Type to "Missle" (as it was suggested that this decides if a unit is melee or not).

And well, what can i say, the Unit is still "Melee" ingame and doesnt attack out of range - i don't get it.

What's going on?

Oh wow, that's weird.

Does the Acquisition Range need to be at least as high as the attack range or what's the deal here?

Thanks guys!

Yep, if you have Acq range = 300, and attack range = 600, then in the game the unit will have 300 range.
However if the Acq range is 600, and the attack range is 300, then the unit will still have 300 range.

Said simply - the unit's range is the lower of these 2 values. However, the Acq range also determines the distance at which your unit picks its targets.

Thanks once again for clarification :)

Sad that there is no vanilla way of having decently ranged creeps that also have a small aggro range then.

Meaning, every time I intend to use ranged mobs I will have to design my territory so that there is more space, since mobs will aggro way earlier.
