oops sorry I forgot to respond XD just went on vacation but I followed your instructions and it worked perfectly so thanks! how ever i'm just starting to use vjass and was wondering if you could help me with this? and Happy New years >
I see! I thought "=" means overwriting something with something else like: temp=a, a=b then mandatory =>b=temp. But it doesn't work that way. It just replaces something with something else not actually equaling it.
Thank you for this in depth explanation!
But why don't you have any maps made then, if you know this kind of stuff?
Hey! Thanks for your response!
I guess I'll keep this message for later use. At the moment I'm not having units in those regions but I was just curious in case I had had units there.
I haven't really worked with loops that much. I'll have to experiment first.
I've implemented your random region idea to make heroes not spawn as the same type.
BTW, could you explain to me how this thing works exactly. I see it working but I can't understand how it does. How does the trigger know how to exclude a region or a unit until the maxindex is depleted?
Hello, I've seen your post here: http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/triggers-scripts-269/random-region-setting-270624/ and was wondering if you knew a way to exclude units from being created in regions where other units already are.
It seems to be working on some sort of pattern (at least on Test Map). The heroes are not exactly randomly created. Sure they don't spawn on the same regions where others were spawned until the max index is depleted but still the spawning follows the same pattern.
