Game Formerly Known as LoaP Power Ultimate, LoaP Ascension 6.0 was the Sequel of LoaP Power Ultimate 50K

This LoaP was created as a Hybrid form of LoaP bringing both the Original LoaP Experience and Atmosphere but also adding in traditional RPG aspects to grow and ascend your hero, most of the original LoaP Jobs are in the game but with major renovations, but there are dozens of New Jobs built from the ground up to try out.

There are several trade centers, a casino for gambling, a carnival to play games and win prizes, and a expensive country club for the most wealthy of players to buy powerful items at, however the most powerful items can only be found in the most dangerous places...

Build your own Gang to take control of the city, Start a Zombie Pandemic, Cause a Alien Invasion, Start your own Samurai Dojo, Adventure into the Forest and Hunt Dangerous Bosses, Compete in the PvE and the PvP Arenas for Glory.. and Cash, Grow your Hero's Power and Ascend!

This Game provides a massive amount of hero customization.
First You pick the Model of your hero with the primary stat you want.
Secondly You visit the Spellshop and train up to 5 spells out of Dozens of Unique Spells, Every spell can be upgraded up to Level 4.
Examples of a few jobs in the game:
Governor:- Largest Auto-income, passes laws allowing other player jobs to unlock new upgrades and cause new events in the city, has a vault that can be robbed!
Mayor:- Receives a large Auto-income, attempts to persuade/bribe Assembly Members for approval rating, which allows him to Open Jail Cells and attempt to Steal Money from the city's funds.
Area 52:- Researches, eventually triggers a global zombie invasion, researches how to control the zombies and then finally researches out how to clean up the zombie hordes they released on the world.
Scientist:- Researches aliens causing a invasion, opens an advanced aircraft shop & Sets up citywide CO2 Recyclers, which permanently increases Hero experience gain for everyone in the game.
Doctor:- Kill germs for a small income, if your hero kills it you get more than if anything else kills it, sell powerful medical items to players and rescue injured civilians with the ambulance.
Druggy, Mafia, Police:- Similar to every LoaP, only enhanced. Kill each other, sell drugs, use your cash to purchase reinforcements, capture each-others control points.
Airforce:- Produces Helicopters, Transports Toxic Crates to Burn, protects the city from airborne attacks, gets promotions for defending the city successfully.
Monster Hunter:- Accept contracts for killing certain bosses, kill monsters anywhere you can find them for additional income, great for the RPG Enthusiast.
Farmer:- Take crops and drop them in the Silo, or feed them to the pigs.
Morgue:- Take the body and put it in the fire, simple part-time job for cash.
Miner:- You get your miners to "Mine" Crystal Formations within the mine and bring the Gems they drop to the Gem Shop.
Assassin:- Builds special units, Kills other player's hero's for income, can also do a Assassination Target Mission every couple minutes.
Blacksmith:- Combine materials with a forge to make powerful weapons and armor.
Army:- Small income, constantly attacked by mutants from the forest, fight the Terrorists in the Demolition Zone for additional income, gain promotions and a permanent pension for successfully defending the city from mutant attacks.
Terrorist:- Small automatic income, fight the Marines in the Demolition Zone for income, cause chaos around the city, destroy vital infrastructure and kill indiscriminately.
BurgerHut:- Combine different ingredients to make different burgers which increase stats for player heroes, take the trash out.
Navy:- Hunt down and destroy enemy ships and monstrous Kaiju's keeping the sea safe for other players, protect the cruise ship from attack, receives promotions for destroying pirate ships.
Ezco Corporation:- Research Robotics, Sell Weapons & Activate your company's brand new power station by successfully lobbying the governor.
Casino:- Persuade players to buy your Scratch off tickets or play your Slot Machines, you get money for every play or purchase, you can win or lose money, if they win, you lose money, Has a underground vault that must be protected.

Examples of some of the Heroes you can unlock by killing bosses, completing events and discovering secrets:
  • Nemesis "Zombie Hero": Summons hordes of zombies, also has poison ability's.
  • Alien "Alien Hero": Evolves into either a ranged or melee alien.
  • Fire archer: A skeleton archer hero, which is a serious pyromaniac.
  • Shadow Archer: Is what happens when a fire archer is consumed by the shadow.
  • Vampire: A vampire hero, leaches health from foes, summons minions.
  • Lich: A cold evil creature. Has strong summons, and a powerful shield.
  • Ninja: Stealthy, Quick & Crafty, utilizes poisons and speed boosts, specializes in quick light attacks.
  • Cyborg: A hero with serious brute force, fast attack speed and damage, has strong AOE's.
  • Holy Priest: A Priest with many powerful healing ability's, that are almost equally as deadly too.
  • Mutant: A Powerful Mutant, slows down its enemy's and destroys them with slow, powerful melee attacks.
  • Ascended: The Final End-Game Hero, can teleport anywhere in the map instantly, has powerful cult followers, hardest hero to unlock in the game, is practically a god but can still be defeated.
  • Several more heroes not listed in this example.


7.03 *Tiny Update*
  • Moloch Now drops a additional item
  • Level Requirement for Mutant Charm spell increased.
  • Second Hostile Gang Added to the upper right corner of the city.
7.02 *Small Hotfix*
  • Templar's now respawn.
  • Spawn Sacrifices for Final boss reduced from 60 to 16, you can now send adopted children (Purchased from malls) to the shrine yourself to add to the counter as a secondary way to trigger this boss event if needed.
  • Top Left shrine trigger can now only be activated once.
  • Gold Rewards for killing various monsters adjusted.
7.01 *Bug Hotfix*
  • Respawn Limiters added to Cave Vampires
  • Hellhounds are now Flameborn and have a new custom model.
  • Lord of Corruption Boss now uses a Necromancer model instead of an Infernal
7.0 *Map Expansion and Modernization*
  • Map Expanded In Every Direction
  • Major Expansion of the Forest, new bosses, new landscapes and new secrets.
  • Forest Layout Improved, some of the weaker bosses have been re-positioned closer to the entrances.
  • Two New Mega-Mansions added to the southeast edge of the city, live life like a bezos.
  • Camera System removed from the game, thanks to blizzards new camera changes this system has become irrelevant.
6.711 *Minor Performance Patch*
  1. Added PvP Arena announcer dialog
  2. Reduced maximum zombies from 160 to 110
  3. All Area 52 Research now takes longer, the scientist research that spawns aliens now takes longer.
  4. Alien Hero ability's changed to reduce performance impact on the game, additional level to new spells and base alien hero stats and gains buffed.
6.710 *Minor Improvements Patch*
  1. Removed the Ripple effect from the staff of creation's award, also removed the requirement that your hero is a Reaper, you can be any hero to create it now.
  2. A minor rather moronic easter egg added for entertainment purposes, we now know why the cultists are insane
  3. The Ninja boss is no longer a hero, has received minor buffs.
  4. Ninja Hero Poison Strike replaced with Poison Bomb, ninja hero also now has passive shadow meld.
  5. The PvP Arena System has been completely redesigned from scratch, no more dialog boxes instead it now requires both hero's stand in the circles to begin the match, the pvp arena also now accepts pets.
  6. PvP Arena will also now auto dis-ally the other player and auto-really that player when the match is over.
6.79 *Stability Patch*
  1. Attacking the trees where the monster hunter infernal boss spawns, while he spawns, no longer causes the game to crash.
  2. The weather system and the events triggered every 5 minutes are now nested inside of the primary world income trigger, cutting down the reoccuring trigger que by 66%
  3. The 5 primary triggers that set up the game at the beginning have been merged into one, this appears to reduce that initial lagspike after initially starting the game.
  4. Reduced map optimization and compression
6.78 *Tiny Bug Patch*
  1. Removed 3 things potentially involved with selection bug from game initialization
  2. Changed the way the peasants interact with your click also in an attempt to fix the rare selection bug
  3. Fixed one line of dialog text from peasant clicks
  4. Clicking a peasant no longer shows the speaking indicator if you are out of range.
6.77 *Bug Patch*
  1. Fixed an issue with the Ninja unlockable hero, also changed spawn location of the miniboss.
  2. Club NPC's no longer cost food and you no longer take control of a dancing peasant when purchasing a club.
  3. Dojo Samurais should now respawn one minute after dying
  4. Advanced Drug Barn should now transfer to the job holder correctly, Drug Runners are no longer automatically upgraded to Experienced Drug Runners.
  5. Experienced Drug Runners no longer have an attack, but have slightly increased health and movement speed.
  6. Black Bear pet is now a Polar Bear, Richman club elephant can no longer escape from a small gap on the bottom of his pen.
  7. Purifier Chaingun Tower no longer requires "Default String" to build
  8. Mutant Heart now correctly has a Reincarnation effect, however it only has 8 charges of it now.
  9. All Drugs now share a 4 Second Cooldown down from 8
6.76 *Bug Patch*
  1. Fixed a bug where newly purchased vehicles could get stuck
  2. Fixed a bug where the apartment realtor was selling a riderless horse instead of the apartment.
  3. Tons of additional fish now roam in shallow waters, many birds have shown up in the city and some coastal areas have grown additional seaweeds.
  4. Primary Stat gives 1 damage/stat again, didn't like how anything below 1 shows up as "0" by the wc3 client.

6.75 *Tiny Patch*
  1. Maximum Hero level is now 1000 up from 100, MOAR POWA!
  2. The games 5 Minute +50% hero experience boost reduced to +25%
  3. Intelligence points now give additional mana and regeneration.
  4. Primary Stat attack damage bonus reduced 25%
  5. Health per Strength reduced 25%.
  6. Experience gain range reduced from 4000 to 3000.
  7. Tank Descriptions improved slightly, all tanks now have a taunt ability.
6.74 *Minor Patch*
  1. You can now display a Situation Report from your Medical Bed in the Hospital.
  2. During the Alien Invasion Peasant and Street Cop Respawn rates are now slowed down substantially.
  3. Taxi "items" now have unique Icons for easy memorization
  4. All Boats and Warships have received rebalancing, new ability's and description improvements, a new high end Yacht for sea transport is now on sale.
  5. Overhaul of Ezco Units all of them Renamed and Rebalanced with New Ability's and their costs reduced substantially.
  6. Improvements to Gangs, Units now have unique ability's that makes each one more useful in different scenarios.
  7. Gang Minelayer Mines now scale with the global damage buff, mines are now targeted as ground units and have a permanent stealth ability.
6.73 *Minor Patch*
  1. Secret/Unlockable Heroes have had their ability's updated to use the new ability hotkey scheme (Centering all hotkeys around wasd)
  2. Many memory leaks fixed, likely eliminating hundreds of leaks per hour especially in multiplayer.
  3. More improvements to the alien invasion system to prevent game instability.
  4. New Turret Model Added, multiple job based towers now use it.
  5. Waste Management Building now has a southern entrance.
  6. Town Police will now display a exclamation mark above their head when under attack or responding to a attack.
  7. Riot Random Event fixed, rioters where spawning in the wrong area.
  8. Cartels enforcers can now be trained., Cartel now builds harvesters and researches harvesting upgrades from the building in the harvesting room instead of the office.
  9. A player who isn't a member of the mafia can no longer turn in the crate of weapons.
  10. Impeaching the governor should no longer include computer players in the vote.
  11. Many units across the game have received new ability's and description updates
  12. Reviving at the Hospital now costs 5% of your total gold instead of $1500 and a Situation Report displays on revive.
6.72 *Minor Patch*
  1. Police Station Reorganized a little, now only has two jail cells instead of three and a new street between the police HQ and the Dump has been built.
  2. The Germ Room in the Hospital and Much of the Police Station are now Air-Accessible

  4. Replaced most town police with "Street Cops" they will remain in towns control, they will respawn like peasants, killing them will give you a warrant.
  5. Attacking street cops or peasants will cause all nearby cops to attack you, and have a chance to call for reinforcements who will also attack you.
  6. Many new street cops have been employed across the city
  7. Peasants and Street Cops who spawn in certain locations like the middle of a lake will now die instantly and attempt to respawn in a decent location again.
  8. Assassin Auto-Income reduced from 10 to 5, is now only eligible for the 300% bounty bonus after holding the job for 2 minutes and can no longer purchase bounty's on other players, only collect them.
  9. You can no longer place a bounty on yourself.
  10. Many new street cops have been employed across the city and Town now also receives Unit Upgrades every 5 minutes, making various town units more capable of defending the city.
  11. Fixed a potential crash with a mutant hero ability
  12. Switched all internal wait times to game time instead of computer time, to hopefully improve multiplayer sync.
  13. Made more improvements to the alien invasion to spread out the performance impact of all of the units spawning in.
  14. Samurai Dojo NPC's should now respawn correctly.
  15. Hospital Germs Dislike Aircraft, and now evade 50% of attacks up from 33%.
  16. Casino Auto-Income increased from 40 to 55, Now only loses 50% the winnings when someone wins a scratch-off ticket.
  17. Every 5 Minutes the Casino Owner receives $1 to auto-income, FOR LIFE, even if they quit the casino they retain this income permanently.
6.71 *Minor Bug Patch*
  1. Taking police job no longer gives you control of the garbageman job circle
  2. Quitting the police job now correctly removes control of the northern station
  3. The Disgusting Egg from the spider boss is now targetable
  4. The second bank check tied to the Thief job also can only be picked up by Thief or Bank job holders
  5. "Theif" spelling error corrected, assassin quit text simplified to waste less of your screen.
  6. Killing your own hero should no longer trigger the popup saying bounty was awarded.
  7. Assassin Hero Killing income increased from $350 to $500, and Assassin can no longer assassinate himself.
  8. Minelayers also now receives a upgraded Explode spell based on the level of the damage upgrade and no longer receive armor upgrades.
  9. A redundant upgrade removed from gangs, the first zombie based upgrade renamed.
  10. Control Points now benefit from Upgrades
  11. If the Alien Mothership is alive after 3 minutes a broadcast will show up and will alert players via minimap that the mothership is at the park.
6.7 *Major Feature Update*
  1. Random Weather System added, there's a chance of different weather patterns every 2 minutes, there's a 50% chance of weather.
  2. Combined Camera Slider System added to the game, thanks to Sabe from The Hive Workshop, default camera distance is now 1900 instead of 2000.
  3. Player Bounty System added to the game, multiple discrete vendor locations across the map.
  4. New Commands -bounty hide/show -warrant hide/show will collapse or bring back the menu, (same menu for both commands)
  5. Added Warrant System, +1 Warrant for killing any Town, Passive Unit or Player Owned unit from a player who has Zero Warrants, killing another players hero without outstanding warrants is +5 warrants.
  6. Police Job now receives $100 Per Warrant when a Hero Purchases Bail from Jail, serving jail time and purchasing bail clears all outstanding warrants.
  7. Lawyer added to the Divorce Building, allows you to pay to clear your outstanding warrants at a price of 50 gold per warrant.
  8. Assassin Job Holder Receives 300% Bounty Reward
  9. Golem of Earth, Patient Zero, Mutated Wildlife now have models that work with classic wc3.
  10. Bank Checks can now only be picked up by the Bank or Thief job holders.
  11. The Hospital with the exception of the germ room now allows air travel.
  12. Increased the size of vehicles slightly
  13. Talking Villagers and Police will now turn towards your hero when speaking, also added Wc3's speaking unit indicator.
  14. Construction Buildings of Police/Mafia/Cartel are now frozen when they lose control of their respective control point.
  15. The South Entrance Defense Tower also gets frozen when their control point is lost, to prevent that tower from attacking the captured control point.
  16. Disco Floors now provide a very small experience gain every ten seconds to any hero standing on them
  17. There are now varying chances that the Thief will be caught and receive warrants for stealing job items and the tank heist.
  18. Mafia now has a 20% chance to receive warrants for receiving illegal weapon shipments.
  19. Cartel now has a 20% chance to receive warrants for rapid drug selloffs.
  20. Terrorist Killing the Cruise Ship now causes 60 Warrants to be issued for their arrest.
  21. Robbing banks now has a near 50/50 chance to lead to more than a dozen warrant for your arrest.
  22. Spider Boss, Patient Zero and Golem of Earth Bosses can now target Air Units more effectively.
  23. Most Zombie Units and Z-Virus Tank Collision Sizes Reduced
  24. Game Food Limit Increased from 250 to 300.
  25. Experience Gain Share Range Reduced from 8000 to 4000.

  40. Instead of spawning on Peasants Aliens now build 7 Teleporters around the city, where a new alien spawns in every 10 seconds and roams to a random map location, the teleporters must be killed to end the invasion.

  42. Boss Re-spawn and Item Drop systems cleaned, organized and several memory leaks fixed.
  43. Suicide Bomber Upgrade removed from Terrorist Job, the Explode Ability now scales with the Global Unit Damage Upgrades, has 100 levels, but can no longer benefit from global armor upgrades.
  44. Fixed multiple major point leaks dealing with zombie movement and re-spawning.
  45. Richmans Club Alcohol Vendors now have a very special and expensive offering.
  46. Drug Usage Cooldown reduced 15 seconds to 8 seconds.
  47. Removed two of the islands in the ocean.
  48. Navy Ships are now larger
  49. Every 20 Pirate Ship kills a Massive Kaiju spawns in the ocean, if the Navy kills it they receive $12,000, but beware losing your expensive ships, a fleet may be needed.
  50. Area 52 now gets $40 per zombie kill up from $25
  51. Army/Navy and Airforce now receive $10 job bonus for each zombie they kill, and $100 per alien killed, theres also a bonus for those job holders if they kill the alien queen.
  52. Alien Ships have new models, Royal Fighter/Heavy Cruiser/Heavy Fighter removed, there is only 3 classifications of alien ship now.
  53. Hovercraft has a new model, double the armor and its price reduced slightly.
  54. All Tanks now have passive damage reduction
  55. All Normal Tanks (not purifier or ezco) now have passive short-range attacks, depleted uranium rounds, and a AoE Cleave that fixes the intended splash damage.
  56. Samurai Item now requires you to challenge a Samurai in the Dojo, Fight a Samurai that spawns, and defeat it in order to spawn a Samurai Slave.
  57. The Alien Invasion now has two phases, the first phase is now a air/ship invasion, when the mothership is destroyed the ground invasion begins.
  58. Aliens and Alien Queen Buffed, aliens can now attack air units and will now act more similarly to zombies.
  59. Aliens now have a parasite ability, if it kills a unit that is infected it will create a face hugger, if that face hugger kills anything it will spawn a full Alien from its body.
  60. Scientist Job can now build alien ships directly once the alien ships have been researched.
  61. Army Humvee's are now much cheaper, but take much longer to build, cost 3 food instead of 1.
  62. Airforce has two new aircraft including a osprey which takes a long time to train and a powerful aircraft that is locked behind scientist research, other aircraft units rebalanced, the cobra no longer has a ground attack.
  63. Airforce now gets $250 per aircraft killed, and Alien/Hybrid flying unit kills now reward $850 per kill, also starts with an additional anti-air unit.
  64. The navy gets a similar copy of the army's spec ops soldier, called the Navy Seal, very slightly stronger but takes WAY longer to train and costs WAY more, because the navy does not specialize in ground troops.
  65. Scientist now receives a large sum of gold for a particular research.
  66. Alien Hydralisk form has a new passive ability that replaces the spiked carapace placeholder, all aliens now have passive spiked carapace as a bonus passive.
  67. Alien Heros have had their base stats buffed, ability re-balanced and now have additional levels to learn.

no idea how to fix the selection bug, im sure some one on hive remembers how to fix it
people still trying to easy farm doc and graveyard via turret? perhaps make it hero kill only like the chickens
You get far less income from non-hero kills

Could we add this into the game? It can be annoying to hear "OUR ALLY IS UNDER ATTACK" every minute on the minute from, say, the doctor's office.

Maybe add it as a command in case it's important (ie, if drug/mafia are cooperating and need to know if the cops are making a move on their partner)?

It's not some major glitch so it's no problem to wait, but still.
Ill add it in the next patch (probably 6.3)
I think ill disable it for all players at the start & allow you to turn it on manually.

Could the selection bug be originating at the Marriage and PvP arena dialogs?
Are players using those while the selection bug occurs?

Dialogs are shared between all players, so maybe that could have something to do with it.

This is from a thread of WoFRP, which is a successor to SotDRP, which was well known for having select bug.

In the YARP discord (another successor of SotDRP which is my personal favorite), someone says that the "units currently selected by" trigger is buggy.

Hope this helps isolate the issue.

In the YARP discord (another successor of SotDRP which is my personal favorite), someone says that the "units currently selected by" trigger is buggy.

Hope this helps isolate the issue.
Thanks, I don't use sync selections or "units currently selected by", but it makes me wonder if forcing selections may be the cause, i force selections on the wisps during respawns and a few other things I think.
I see they offer that map unprotected so I'm going to rummage through its code.

Does the selection bug only happen on buildings?

I saw a old 2008 thread where people said creating units causes it, if that's the case its unfixable by a map creator.

I'm hoping that the leak fixing fixes it or makes it happen less, I just finished fixing all of the leaks I could find throughout all of the game, now im going to start working on some substance for the patch beyond bug fixing.
The games code is more organized and clean and commented than ever so it's really easy for me to rummage through everything now, I probably spent a full hour just organizing the directory's and adding comments last night.

I wonder if the game client itself is just overwhelmed and selection glitches happen, if that's the case the drastic reduction in leaks should help.

If there's any correlation between the selection bug and the dialogs from the marriage or pvp arena systems I could easily make them into vendor based systems instead, but I doubt that is the case.

The only trigger based selections in the game occur when you purchase an initial hero, leave a taxi I think, stuff like that, there's none that trigger on clicking on a shop or clicking on anything for that matter, that is what is leaving me baffled.

But i think ill try to add in a fix that forcefully de-selects everything and then forcefully selects what you just selected in 6.3, idk if or how it would work but we will see.

I know I said I was going to lay off the small patches, but I decided to throw another one out there ;)
6.2.6 is released, I have scanned over everything several times now, every last region based leak has been fixed, notable ones since 6.2.5 would be things like the zombie invasion leaks have been fixed, that was a ton of leaks, all of those pings from newspapers? that was a instant dozen leaks, now its zero leaks.

I gave another shot at fixing the selection bug via improving those selection triggers to be more specific "Last Created Unit" --> a Defined variable that was assigned to a specific unit.

If you still have it give the new -selection fix a shot.

If it happens more often with less players it sounds like the game client is getting overwhelmed, its weird how its happening to the host though, or is it? It is right?

Frankly if it still happens in 6.2.6 even with the -selection fix enabled I think it's time for me to actually try to contact blizzard about it.

Could we add this into the game? It can be annoying to hear "OUR ALLY IS UNDER ATTACK" every minute on the minute from, say, the doctor's office.

Maybe add it as a command in case it's important (ie, if drug/mafia are cooperating and need to know if the cops are making a move on their partner)?
It's not some major glitch so it's no problem to wait, but still.

Done and released, v6.2.6.
You can re-enable it with "-alert player # or original color" and disable it on a individual basis with "-disable alert"

also some how people got double heros when using -repick, wisps also didnt dissapear after hero was selected

Just released 6.2.7 hotfix, double heroes should be impossible now, fixed both main triggers for it and the secondary catcher to delete heroes if more than one is found.

Also combined the tax script than ran every 12 minutes with another script, taxes now happen every 15 minutes, not 12.
This cuts out another constantly running script.

I'm going to keep looking into the selection glitch, unit responses was one of the only things I could think of that actually responds to anything related to using your mouse.
Theres legitimately nothing else outside of picking heroes and having it force select the wisp and then the hero & that civilian respond trigger, nothing else in the game responds or interacts with the mouse.

Until I find a fix for the selection bug or come out with a substantial amount of actual changes to the game im going to slow down on the rapid releases now. Especially because im fresh out of ideas on how to find or fix the selection glitch on my side, we have tried everything conceivably related.

I'm thinking it may just be that my map has so many units, so many objects inside of it that the game client is overwhelmed, most other games don't have this much going on in them, hopefully Wc3 remastered plays with modern computers better and supports larger maps with more chaos going on in them.

pretty sure the much larger save/load code RPG maps have much more going on in them, its not the game client

where you able to get into a game and test it out with people?
Nah not yet, someone in the forums told me about disabling some map protection/optimization things.
I'm thinking that might be the cause now, or rather just the optimization part of it, it does cut off like 20% of the maps fat though.
That said I have been using the same thing since 1000 versions ago so unless this bug has been ongoing forever im not sure.

Hey my dude, In a night of sweet, sweet passion, I made a review on parts of this loap. It's mostly just about the jobs part, but it says a lot about the gameplay alone. Along with most of the unedited text file.

Here it is.

How do I make this game better?

The problems.

-lack of player interaction
-boss rushing
-item rushing
-jobs, in general. Important, my favorite topic.

Lack of player interaction and jobs go together.

A ton of jobs are really just better than having no jobs. Farming, thief (which was nerfed to hell), banker, and a lot of the part time jobs, are never taken. I never take any part time jobs because they just waste my time. With that time, I could be using my hero to be getting items to get stronger, or using him for my full time job, like the bartender job, which, with ascension, is more practical, as robots now only have four slots.

The farmer job the least used jobs as it rewards about 30 gold per wheat or something like 600 gold per pig, which is about 5 wheat. However, the wheat is on a timer when given to a pig, so getting money that way isn't too practical. Also, I don't believe it's possible to use a non-hero, and even it it was possble with a pet or a robot, it wouldn't be worth my keystrokes. It would take a lot of worker (hint) to do that as a part time job. Perhaps make it so you can automatically feed the pig or make feeding the pig easier to adjust for the job. A trough could actually work in this regard, and you could feed pigs a lot faster without having to adjust cooldown time.

The thief job should actually be the most interesting job. Selling drugs could be a really profitable business, as I've actually experiented with myself. You could grow your own drugs and sell them, so, believe it or not, with the current game, it might be better just selling your own drugs. Mail, as usual, isn't too profitable, and now that the bank has been nerfed, getting 900 gold per robbery with your hero and 2 pets doesn't work any more. Also, it requires a strong hero or good items to rob the bank. Those turrets hit hard! Thusly, it's actually possible for a thief to NOT be wanted by the cops in the game, thus making two professions worse. Giving the cops less to do makes them unviable for play, and not worth it in general. To combat this, make thief play a lot more brutal. A lot of the charm of loap is messing with people, so make that stealing skill worth it. Make it a percentage like Loap gold's. This incentivizes thieves becoming strong and incentivizes police to arrest. Chaos is the ultimate spice for this game. If a thief is strong, then people will turn to the police to arrest, and thus, the police are more useful and the thief is able to steal from players with better jobs. Also, doing this shakes up the power dynamic by allowing wealthier players to protect their wealth. It could totally be possible for a thief to steal an item or gold to prevent a player from getting something like power armor or a tier X item. Then, in their rage, they'll call police or attack the thief. If the thief has allies, it could turn into a war against the police. Thief is actually the riskiest job available, so it should have the most rewards.

The banker job is okay, actually. A solid 300 per check is a nice bonus, making 10 checks to buy a helicopter. You can use pets AND robots to deliver them, but I wonder if it's worth the keystrokes to have? No one ever takes banker because of the event robberies and the meager pay. Beleve it or not, I can't think too much for it. The job is easy, the pay is meager. There's little on the bank protection part though, and the job is so forgettble. You can't spawn 6 checks at once to make 1800 a haul like other loaps, thus ensuring that the pay remains meager. Even if you do the glitch to spawn more than one, it requires another player. Why would anyone help another player spawn more than one check? Overall, no one will take this profession if it remains like this. However, with more thought, if you manage to increase player tensions and someone needs extra money, 300 a check in a second could be an extra unit. However, it's still very unlikely anyone will take it over the oil job or not taking it at all. It's probably a waste of time for most people. I have mixed feelings on it.

Now some full time jobs.

the police job is absolutely not worth it other than the cars. The military has stronger units and can be used a lot more strategically for farming creeps (vampire killing), the airforce used to be a boss-rushing powerhouse, and the navy was always ignored. No one cares for the navy. The police need incentive. No one plays as the cops right now. No one that I've seen in my games. That's because no one causes crimes or tries to get in other people's ways. People don't WANT to be police, they NEED to be the police. People need to do things to hurt each other. There needs to be drama, or the game will be boring. The police, in tradition games, are usually already outmatched, but in this game, no one bothers with crime any more. No one takes police because no one causes trouble like the mafia robbing the bank or the druggy selling drugs. The police cars are also nerfed to hell in this game, with talks of a timer on cars. Someone could easily destroy the two cars, rush to the base, and spawn kill until the police surrender or leave. Heroes can also possibly outrange police cars or just use units or evn pets, which can have two slots for overpowered items (compared to armies) to one shot the cars. The timers are also so counterproductive to an already crushed police force. No one owants to be the police because no one causes any drama, but it's already a well known fact that the police can't control people already in such a large map. This is a sidenote for my writing, but in such a huge map, it would be so easy to avoid the police. The smaller the map, the easier it is for the police to work (and abuse). Thusly, with a huge map, overpowered heroes, limited police cars (to arrest), and little reasons for trouble, there's no reason to be police. The police can do very little to keep order. They have no physical power, and, as usual, no actual power to make people give things up. This is another sidenote, but if you have a player that just refuses to give up an item wrongfully theirs, or not make up for their crimes, they'll do everything they can to break out, and with the 5 minute releasing system + the timer, there's less keeping them in jail than ever. I've done it and I've had it done to me. I've had to lock people up for the entire game in other loaps because they refuse to compromise, and I've refused to compromise. Hell, In this game, I've stolen the bag of black diamonds from the police, got arrested, got bail, and sold the jewels for a great profit. The police at that time quit and just went to rushing for an op hero. This happens in a lot of other loaps, and I think something should be done to give police more bargaining power. If the police can't keep someone away forever, they'll just keep on pestering everyone in a bad way. If the police can't keep people away for long periods of time or make them reimburse people for their crimes, there might as well be no police at all.

TL;DR
Sorry for that rambling. Out of that, here's a summary.
Police are weak, easy to be spawn killed in base because of only two police cars every two minutes, people can use two pets to instakill these police cars and use units to spawn kill in their base. People will try to get out of jail as hard as they can when in it. With the previous stated + this, police are a joke. This combines with the car timers going to be added + bail. You can do horrible things and get out scot free, even if it's just 10k. Buff the police. Give them the ability to MAKE cars just in case.

Not included, op police heroes, but it's a full time job, so it's a big money sink. Still, a lot of jobs are bad now.

Druggy

and that was the end of it. I never got to mafia, druggy, and ninja mines, but a quick summary would be that because there's so little reason to commit and fight crime, mafia becomes nothing more than an instant army, and nothing else. There are plenty of other better jobs + a great hero that would be much better. Druggy is just for the drugs, and they're never being sold to players. I was just in a game where a player had 700 attack in one hour in version 6.3. It might have been 1 1/2 hours, but it was still mighty. Also, they don't contribute anything to player interaction at all, despite being a merchant. Ninja mines are useless and operate like vanilla, so 10 gold per slave. However, ninjas and samurais are at the higher cost and everything costs food. Even with a lot of investment, which I did (and had over 20k), they can't compete with lightning monsters at all, forest monsters, or anything of the sort. Even tanks are so bad that they can't invade the forest.

That's just a little summary, and, I'm afraid, I've ran out of dedication for the while. There's a lot more to be said, but imagine how long it originally took to type the txt file up in my string of passion. Even this and the previous paragraph is ranging on 10-20 minutes, so it's time to stop.

That was one of the points of my job additions in 6.3, sadly the more RPG elements you add to a LoaP the less player to player interaction becomes necessary to play the game.

I can't give police too much power, the game is centered around your hero, and if you lose access to your hero for a long period of time your likely to just alt-f4, that said Ill look into buffs and im thinking that i should add a major mid-game upgrade to prison vehicle to boost its health/armor
I have been thinking about expanding the northern police base now that there's more room in that area.

I'm thinking I should expand on the old richmans club idea I had to have a blanket upgrade for all non-hero units in the game, I should give it like 100 levels, add it to all units and place vendors around the map, because people have reported that even in the mid game hero's completely eclipse all non-hero units in the game.

The idea of faction points was to increase the interaction between police/mafia and cartel, guess ill look into creating even more provocations, I have been thinking of removing mafias bank stealing and replacing it with something similar to the docks.


I think im going to permanently buff drugs & burgerhut items again, and nerf the gym upgrades even more.

I also want to further scale down boss/rpg item power, doing that is a delicate process though, tbh I was waiting for someone to comment like "why is this item weaker than this item!", theres so many items if i scale one down and forget about another it could screw with the maps progression system.

But going on from 6.3 and the job additions that rely on people doing other jobs it was Doctor --> Morgue --> Crypt a sort of "job event". I intend to continue with ideas like this, I have been trying to figure out a way to make the terrorist job a more lucrative job while also making it lucrative to stop him.

I want to add in a bounty system that could effect quite a few jobs, but my early attempts where astounding failures, or particularly, trying to create a leaderboard or constant visual representation of bounty was the failure.

I really do believe you should reconsider that. It makes very little sense to me to allow for 250 food, and make it a hero-based game. Even with loaps like loap gold, a hero based loap, you could hire units to protect you or use major powers like mafia or druggy and their units. Being jailed in a loap is never a death sentence, even when you have the option to pay to get out anyways. No one ever plays police, ever. They're so useless in this game that there's not a single game I've played where someone outright plays police for the entire game, or even a large majority. Even if a player is captured, they have several options to escape. They can pay the fine in the jail, they can use other players, the can use other factions, like mafia and druggy, and they can even use their own units. It would be a bit silly to imply someone wouldn't just try to get out rather than alt4 out of there. Also, even with the mid-game upgrade to the prison vehicle, the armor and health just wouldn't be enough because by end game, or even mid game, you can have players with attack damages in the hundreds. Even in the first 20 minutes of the game, it's extremely easy to get to the number. It all depends on the job, of course.

As of now, the richman's upgrades are not used by anyone. I've only played one game where someone got it, and they did oil driller and spammed the boats like crazy with max upgrades. If you want to make upgradeable units, it should be at least a bit cheaper. However, I can also say that shouldn't be the case to reward better players using jobs to their advantage. If they know a strategy to get money fast, they should be able use that to their advantage. This is a short reply, so I won't go into too much detail.

I've yet to see faction points be used now, but they're still being implemented, right? If police, right now, attacks druggy, druggy would easily win unless it's early game. For mafia, no one plays either, honestly. Mafia and police are seen as inferior since they don't give enough money to supply a hero with items or drugs, and for druggy, it's pretty overpowered since all you need to do is continue cutting down for drugs and you pretty much automatically get OP. It happens every game, and there seems to be no strategy to it. Other loaps had OP druggies, but never this OP. Not sure how to fix it, honestly. The drugs are pretty powerful in this version, and druggy doesn't seem to have much of a problem getting money for the better workers. In fact, they swim in lumber near the mid to end game, so maybe just nerf the workers? For the loap being a hero game, I'm in a game right now, ascension 6.3, the latest version, and the druggy has over 900 attack and 10,000 hp from an hour and 1/2 game. If this game actually goes on for this long, and no one else can get to that level, druggy definitely needs to be nerfed. By the end of the game, it had been 1 hour and 47 minutes. He had been able to defeat the expert arena by then and gave me about 70k lumber.

On drugs, no one actually uses either of them, for some reason. Only the druggy really uses them since no one buys the drugs. As for the gym upgrade and even the burgerhut, no one uses those items either. Burgerhut actually has pretty good uses for hp, but gym upgrades are extremely expensive compared to drugs. For one stat boost, it's a massive 2000 gold, and for three stat boosts, it's an even bigger 7000 gold. Compared to drugs, which it cannot, Crystal meth costs 1400 lumber, which is A LOT easier and faster to get than the 7000 gold, and it increases strength by 6. Despite reducing int by 3, which no one uses, you can easily use adderal for a net gain of 3, or just ignore it since actual damage and speed > spells. Int really does mean nothing, honestly. Just get it to 1 or 3, keep doing drugs, and maybe, if needed, use adderall later in game. There was this loap that also had a gym, but instead of mobs you could fight, you hit a punching bag, dumbells, etc. to gain strength, and it was a membership. You could increase strength every day, but you had a limit. I have no idea why you would nerf the gym upgrades at all unless you knew of some way to get MASSIVE amounts of money and totally ignored druggy. How long are your games, when do they end?

I don't really have much to say about item nerfing, but items in general, allow for players to one shot major factions' units in one hit, and as of now, units are really useless if they're not making money. I also find it weird as if there's a reason why nerfing should happen if no one actually fights each other. Though, I don't really do that stuff myself, and if I do go boss killing, I collect their items to kill more bosses. I never do kill the cyborg and the other heroes it spawns later. By then, the game is actually over. As it is now, items serve the purpose for one, or two, at most, people to collect and become the strongest, and then they kill the cyborg and the game is over.

This reply took me way too long to make, and it was quite vague. I might add some combinations and strategies to show you what I mean later. Or not. I really love this game, and have a P A S S I O N towards playing and critiquing it, but I am slow to do things.

Wanted to check in, been a crap month for me, hurt my arm, that healed, now i have a hell of a head cold, and the semester at college is wrapping up and my cold caused me to fall behind.

So far for 6.3.1 I have improved the upgrade vendor, added them to the malls, made it cheaper and you can now upgrade Damage/Armor/Health/Movement speed up to 100 times each for all units in the game, minus the ones that you received with your job they don't get effected by upgrades for some odd reason, but newly trained ones do, or really any trained or purchased ones do.

Buffed the prison car, added in a upgrade specifically for prison cars, they are also effected by the vendor upgrades mind you, minus damage.

I added in a notification when the Vote Kick System resets, it seems to be working on some level, when i enter a game and vote kick myself i get prompted that there's 1/4 votes to kick red I suppose this needs further evaluation, reminder it's based on the original color of the player, if someone changes their color to a new color and you try to kick their new color (and that color isn't playing the game), you will effectively be trying to kick a player that does not exist, so best use -kick player #

And I randomly went through and buffed a dozen or so secret/unlockable hero spells, to try and make them more worth using instead of spamming regular attacks, oh I also went through and nerfed a few secret heroes initial bonus attack damage.

Released 6.3.1, based on feedback I tried to improve the position of the police in the game, jailing should be possible now, considering increasing bail timer even more.

Also tried to make it easier and more convenient to upgrade your non-hero units in the game by making the upgrades cheaper and more easily available (a vendor in every mall)

I tweaked the item combo trigger, it was slightly messy, Via my own testing the items i tried did work as intended, but I have been getting reports of item combos ending up free without a gold cost for some time now, hopefully this fixes that, keep and eye out and report it again if it happens, also try to remember the item name, it could be a specific item.

So, i must say, i got ascended (the end game god hero) two times, first time i desynced myself, and second time i was able to finaly explore it, but yet again, all the other people desynced instead. I don't know what is causing this.
Also the "clicking" bug is still present, and we can't play with full house, or change to new colors, the colors are causing random desyncs for some reason.
morgue job is bugged when you're using any mirror immages it keeps spawning more bodies and you can get fast money, basicly its the mirror immages, and the jobs that require you to bring items for income, game thinks you bring the actual item with the mirror immage, so its 5x income or how many immages u got.

thanks for reporting the morgue bug, it must be detecting mirror images as heroes, anyway ill add a item tracker to ensure only one can exist at a time.

Im starting to think the map protector/optimizer may be at fault for the desyncing and clicking bug, i think the clicking bug ittself is a desync issue.
The map protector utility hasn't been updated in years, that said it also cuts the maps size by 20-30% too with optimizations.

I'll tweak the map protector heavily for the next version to do a ton less optimizing, im hoping when the wc3 refresh comes out people will return and fix these old utility's.

it was not only the morgue job, but any job that involves bringing back items to a certain spot, mirrir immages can be used, and game would think its a real one, also we cannot play as FH (now 23P) by people playing on new slots it causes desync at some point, and changing colors too.

Yep i went through and fixed that exploit for several jobs in the next patch

I'm going to disable the color changing command in the next patch so nobody can use it, still trying to figure out what is causing the desyncing.

Edit: I released 6.3.2, everything other than the map protector options have been turned off in the optimizer, the game is not optimized at all now, tell me if you experience de-syncing in 6.3.2

so it means we can try go for FH (23P) now?
and also, what about the ascended? will it cause any more desyncs or you havent figured it out yet?

Yeah, the transformation causing random desyncs, either to myself or someone else, i had it 2 times so cant say, once i desynced, and second time everyone else (4 people).

it's probably the ground waves doing it, ill take a look at it.

Is there any improvement in 6.3.2 with de-syncs and the clicking bug?

I'm about to go rummaging through code again looking for things to improve, but im really thinking its the map protector at this point because there's legitimately nothing in use that causes this crap to happen, I have looked at forum posts on other peoples games de-syncing, the codes they used that caused it are not in this game at all. Also this map uses no jass at all, it is all GUI triggers and i have cleaned them up and organized them incredibly well in the last few months.

I really want to keep my map protected to prevent a trillion people from copying my map making minor changes and pretending its a new game they made.
So I would likely keep using it even if it causes desyncs until Wc3 remastered comes out and someone comes out with a new modern map protector.

I just tried to play a game and everyone had a desync (on newest 6.3.2) only once though, so i might try again. update: Ok i got desync after 10 minutes into the game, i dont think i was the only one...

Ascended sniper is causing crashes whenever I select them. Tried reloading and yeah, the sniper is really causing me crashes.
Woah they really do cause crashes, spawned one and clicked it myself, crashed.
really weird.
Going to test to see if its their model doing it else ill remove them from the game and replace them in 6.3.3

Edit: Found the reason it was causing crashes, caster upgrade art was still selected, apparently that causes instant crashes with a custom model, fixed for 6.3.3.

Released 6.3.3 that crashing bug with the sniper is fixed.

Im starting to think the sheer amount of wait timers in the game could be causing desyncs.
Only way I can fix that is by redesigning it to have things like a universal respawn timer, but then i wonder if having a hundred mobs suddenly spawning in one moment could also cause desyncs. :confused:

Just finished a game, no desyncs during the game, got ascended, and also nobody had any disconnects, i'm gonna try different things next time, and keep you updated..
Also i hope you can fix the clicking bug and the 23P issue in the future, keep it up :)

Nice. Maybe the game-time wait in the boss trigger was the cause this whole time.

As for the "clicking bug" my only thought is it could be related to dialogs like the pvp arena or marriage, check if people are using those when the clicking bug occurs for me if you could.

I think I just figured out what causes the clicking bug.

Or atleast I have discovered a similar glitch.
Morphing a unit while a unit is executing an action seems to cause a loss of control glitch in the game on all maps.
All secret heros transformations replace units, if it causes a similar issue as the demon hunter morph spell it could be the cause.

Not sure how to fix that yet, maybe I will try to put a forced stop before all replacing triggers in the game

-> and I just finished making the new furniture system, should be interesting, considering allowing people to build their own spots instead of having preset spots, we will see in the future.

Patch 6.3.4 released.
Try out the new furniture system, would you guys preferr being able to build your own furniture spots or is it fine how it is.
If you could build your own they would also have to be destroyable.. and there would be no way to prevent people from building them all over the map.

I'm having a problem with the map
Whenever I go to the area near the spiders we all crash, and when I go to singleplayer and check it out with "iseedeadpeople" my game instantly crashes.
Is there a solution for this?

It dosn't happen for me at all, that area uses no custom models either.
Make sure your on the latest version of wc3 & using Ascension 6.3.4

Oh, check your graphics settings and make sure they are at max settings.

Hmm. I didn't disable those in 6.3.4, if the custom colors cause any more desyncs I will disable them, keep me posted, im thinking blizzard is still having issues with the new player slots on their end.
