meh.. I don't know.. I can agree to that it looks cool but it's illogical and absurd that the gigantic animal(?) had the chains on his rib before he died and decayed.

Well I agree with 6 and 13. The rest, well #4 was the first time that technique was ever used, #9 is just awesome, and #5 is old as a motherfucker, it only uses 2 imported models, so I think that should give it some credit.

I can see why you underestimate most of these pics, raid, but you have to understand these pictures were one of the first fog/sun terrains that came and by that time they really were though of more than legendary.

No but do you know that the first computer was legendary? And compare it to today, same goes for everything else, the first plane was legendary too, and we all go "lol" to all the old legendary stuff. Old Timers are legendary etc...

Today you have to make something or really impressive or revolutionary to earn the "legendary" adjective.

The matter isn't how easily it can be done. Creativity counts. The first guy who had the idea of drawing abstract art was a genius, because no one thought about painting something unreal (like feelings/ideas) before. They only painted things like people, landscapes, etc.

I belive that one is average, and it has a flaw: the background. Legendary terrains must be flawless.

tbh, I think 4 isn't exactly legendary, in both ways described. That was right when the huge buzz with zomglightspam!!111111 started, it being "just another one" right then, even now I fail to see why it's so impressive. 5, 6, 9 I disagree with you raid. Those were great, are great, although I think [death]'s Garden is more deserving than the remains one. The castle is just a plain normal castle. It looks epic because it is epic. =/. 13 I agree. I didn't think it was exactly special, I never liked it a lot either way. The hand is quite nice I suppose, but that's about it.

like it makes you wonder how they did that, or "wow thats f-ing beutiful", or you get a strong feeling or emotion that the terrainer is trying to portray, like a mysterious and dark terrain will make you feel like its a mystery and feeling of darkness engulfing you !

epicness has nothing to do with how simple it is. Its about feeling the epicness.

I think raid1000's hill fort picture's are worthy the legendary title. The first time I saw them I got an adrenaline rush, and everytime I look at them they impress me over and over again.

well maybe there are legendary terrainers, but that doesn't mean that this legendary thread is made just for them.

I find it cool how overtime, terrainers slowly become better and better, and eventually become epic terrainers. Thats probably how every legendary terrainer started.

There was probably even more on Wc3search... but then that got changed.

And now raid is rising to that title. Many of his works are pretty f-ing legendary.
and sooner or later im gonna try and reach that rank ! =D !!
