About
JETPACK is a 2D platform game created by Sourc[e]x for WarCraft III.
The object of the levels is to collect all of the keys scattered around the level while avoiding obstacles and enemies.
Once accomplished, a door opens which the player must go through in order to complete the level.

The map also features a in-game level editor. It's kinda slow and not very user-friendly, but it works properly.

    gotta try

Edit; tired of how your changing wc3 all the time. You should try something else now when you're the best one making maps in Warcraft, or make something enjoyable. Also, I guess JASS is required for the engine to know if the player mouses over something as you've been using in atleast 2 of your maps this far?

    Thank you.
What gave it away? The total-conversion-ness? Or the sloppy art design? :p

Nice map Here is a review!

Awesome map :p it should be higher rating.

Although It is not perfect so... let me rate this map!

    First method of rating:

    1) Terrain - okay (4.5)
The terrain is awesome, it is very good texture. The spikes look awesome and so does everything else. You have made it look really realistic.

    2) Fun factor/gameplay - Good (4)
The game-play of the game is pretty good although there is room for improvement. You start out choosing the level, then all you do is go round trying not to die collecting the keys and trying to escape, aswell as trying to get as many points as possible. To spice the gameplay up you could add a few rats or bats and give your guy a weapon to defend himself.

    3) Single player - Excellent (5)
Single player is really good although it is only 1 player so it has to be.

    4) Originality - Excellent (5)
This map is very original and unique as it is a one of a Jet-pack get the keys and escape map. Basically it is a game inside a game :p

    5) File Size - average (3.5)
File size is a bit on the average side (This means you have a bit of room for improvement) But overall, the file size is reasonable.

    6) Balancing - Excellent (4.5)
You balance this game excellently. As mentioned above, the idea is collect the keys and exit safely. You balance this well cuz there are not too many spikes or things to kill you so the game is not impossible.

    7) Credits - Excellent (5)
You list the credits very well and list all the people good job.

    8) Theme - Excellent (5)
Jet-pack collect the keys and exit - awesome theme.

    9) Description/Information/Detail - Awesome (4)
add some youtube video to the description to make it good and maybe a upcoming update log and change log.

    10) Hiveworkshop rules & regulation - Good (5)
    Fits all Hiveworkshop Rules!

    Overall top rating (46.5/50)

    Second method of rating:

    Game-play [4/5]:
The game-play of the game is pretty good although there is room for improvement. You start out choosing the level, then all you do is go round trying not to die collecting the keys and trying to escape, aswell as trying to get as many points as possible. To spice the gameplay up you could add a few rats or bats and give your guy a weapon to defend himself.

    Balance [4.5/5]:
You balance this game excellently. The idea is collect the keys and exit safely. You balance this well cuz there are not too many spikes or things to kill you so the game is not impossible.

    Visuals [4/5]:
The visuals of the game, the look and feel is just great and here is why. You have some unique models for everything the terrain, the jet-packer etc The terrain is awesome, it is very good texture. To get a better rating for this add a few more custom things round the place and it will be awesome.

    Usefulness of the map [4/5]:
Other then a couple of tweaks and fixes, I would share this game to anyone who enjoys a collect and exit map and enjoys creating collect and exit map. IF you work out a few more tweaks, I am sure you will get a higher grade. This map is very useful/fun.

    Other Points [3/5]:
While the idea of the game is very good and suits the map well, although it still has alot of things that could be done to make it look, feel and even be more enjoyable all over. Although on a good point there are no bugs within the game that I have actually found. Overall the game is working, has no bugs and just a few customization issues in need to make it a 5/5 star map.

Stuff to add in future (-5):
    • Add creeps to make it harder (if killed a creep gives points)
    • Add More things to the terrain
    • Add weapons to your jet-packer to kill the creeps
    • Add weapons round the place that you can pick up
    • Add health packs
    • Add a hitpoint bar
    • Add a built in scoreboard (lets u see your score for previous levels and overall score although if you die your score gets reset to 0)
    • Add lives to the game, your jet-packer has 5 or 10 lives and if you loose them all you have to go back to level 1.
    • Add a life round the maps (a face of jet-packer increases your life by 1)
    • Add a checkpoint every 5 levels or something it saves so if you loose all lives you don't go back to level one, you go back to your checkpoint, checkpoints save scores (the score at the time you got the checkpoint)
    • Make it you have to unlock levels and can't skip ahead (this could be done by adding a lvl code and each time you finish a lvl you get a code then when u start at lvl 1 you can type that code in and skip to the level but without the score.
    • Add a custom loading screen picture (The screen after you click start)

    19.5/20 (from above)
minus 5 for the stuff you need to add to make it better
    Overall Bottom Rating (14.5/25)

Overall with a few tweaks this will be an awesome map,
    Lag_Reviews :p

PS: Nice game and editor its unique never seen before! Basically its a game inside a game, good job! Keep up the good work and i'm sure this map will become huge!

Tleno throws away a picture of Chuck Noris from his worshiping altar and put Illidan(Evil)X's picture.

Oh God, I can't believe someone made it! I can proudly say "I can't believe its Warcraft!"

THIS IS A STAND-ALONE GAME! Somehow you converted a Flash game to WC3! ;-))
+rep. This map deserves Director's Cut. I mean, you should be a user of the year. Here's a little thing that I made: [IMG]

 You're right. The map shouldn't even start, yet still, it does. Perhaps it's something with the newest patch? I'll add a computer slot to 0.9.6 anyways. Just to play safe.

Thank you. It's actually based on a old DOS game from 1993.
Nice level you've got there :)

@Lag_Reviews, Thank for the review. Though, I disagree about the file size counting for a single-player map. :)

    Believe me. I really am.

Also, I found a rather serious bug with the custom level loading and updated to 0.9.6.

No need to do that. The saved level data is compatible with all newer map versions. ;)

Edit: Added a simple YouTube video to the description.

You know, maybe you should add more intresting elements? Like boosters that boost your speed, colourful doors that require colourful keys, maybe bridges or whatever that can be walked on by player but obstacles can move inside it, Or the ones that only players or only some objects might pass, and spikes that apear and disapear and then apear again...
