And we're not able to understand the magnetic field.

I'm not saying that humans are less intelligent than any other animal and I'm not saying that animals are super intelligent either. I'm saying that we do not know how intelligent other animals are so it's foolish to see them all as retards. Even though I might be more on the animal fanatic side I agree I still say no one here knows so no one of us can say if animals like cats are more or less intelligent than us.

But please stop being animal hater you're only portraying animals as worse than they actually are. Cats can navigate and predict incoming storm because of implements in their brains but those implements are also why humans are able have come this far in our technical evolution so if you say that cats don't get any credits for how their brains are functioning then no credit can either be given to us for how our brains are functioning.

No matter how you try to put and twist it the only area where it has been proven that humans are superior in is the technical evolution but claiming that technical evolution equal intellect is idiotic first of all that would mean that I who study IT technology is more intelligent than anyone who does not study any form of technology.

The main point about animal intelligence is that it's irrelevant.

Humans developed into an intelligent species, because we sucked so hard at everything else. We didn't have the physical adaptations to do stuff well, so we just figured out other ways. It's what any animal would do if they had to.

Intelligence is just one way of doing things, just like some others would use claws.

Conclusion: Humans are retarded, because they don't have claws or thick fur. All they're good at is explaining why they're so good.

Maybe you're right in that we're the most intelligent specie on earth but if we are would not that be ironic. The most intelligent specie on our planet is the race that's causing the fall of our planet.

Human makes a gun, polar bear uses plate sized paw, human dies.

God... I can't even begin to describe how wrong you.
Four words for you. LOOK. AT. THEIR. BRAINS.

Humans developed into an intelligent species, because we sucked so hard at everything else. We didn't have the physical adaptations to do stuff well, so we just figured out other ways. It's what any animal would do if they had to.
Shows what you know. Humans have several skills besides the intellect. For one thing, moving on two legs allows us to spend much less energy on moving around. Ancient hunters would use it to their advantage by simply following their prey for days without stopping. Eventually the animal would just die of exhaustion and overheating, but humans would still be fine.
Speaking of overheating, humans have incredibly evolved sweat glands throughout their entire body. This allows us to get rid of excessive heat extremely efficiently, compared to any other mammal.
Not to mention our arms and hands, which alone give humans a gigantic advantage over any animal.

Humans didn't get intelligence because we 'sucked at everything'. That's an idiotic way of thinking. Hands were freed in order to let us climb trees to avoid predators and pick fruit, making us versatile. With our hands free we could also use objects as a means of defence. With a way to defend ourselves we no longer had a need for trees and went to the ground. Large brain was neceserry to allow us to stand straight. With a larger brain we could use tools.

Yes because it has been proven that brain size equals intelligence just like the flatness of your forehead was proven to show intelligence in the third reich. This is no proof it's a theory.

And moving on two legs also makes us slower, and human hunters might be skilled but so are wolves, lions and crocodiles, cats sweat through their paws, and in combat I would rather have an eagle owls talons than my fingers.

You're sitting here blaming Xonok for being an idiotic while you yourself have nothing too backup your theories than with other theories. You are not as smart as you think I hope you know that.

You sir. Are an idiot. With no knowledge. Of basic biology and zoology. And you cannot. CANNOT. Imagine how hard for me it is. That I cannot use every. Swear word. In the English language. In this post. To describe. YOU.

The brain is basically a biological computer. Neurons, of which the brain concists, are the basic units. The more neurons there are, the more powerful the brain is. However, it doesn't exactly depend on how big the brain is, but rather on how much of it is used for thinking. Animals use their brains practically fully for the control of their body, while humans have a huge part of the brain that is left purely for thinking.

Let me guess, you are one of those people who are 'I'm an animal on the inside, me being born a human was a mistake. I'm a wolf!'. Because it sure seems like it. In the end of the day, a good long spear is better then 20 razor sharp claws.
Wow, sweating through their paws. How useful. Using about 5% of the skin to get rid of excessive heat, instead of humans who use over 50%. Definetly cats win on this one.

Theories? THEORIES? THEORIES?

No I'm a human and even though I've always wanted to be able to fly like a bird I would not trade my life for the world.

However no human has the exact same amount of neurons in their brains and more neurons does not guarantee that I will be smarter than a guy who who has less neurons or at least not according to our so called IQ-tests.

And I've said this about 20 times over at this point I will say it again your theory is not proved wrong and neither is mine it's highly possible that it's correct that humans are the most intelligent specie on the planet however if you're branding it as proof you're lying to us and to yourself.

I'll go right ahead and say that IQ tests are highly doubtful in the first place. Although they are widespread, no proper authority takes them as an actual proof of intelligence and a large amount of psychologists reject them as an inaccurate way of finding out the intellectual level.
Well first of all, the difference in brain size among humans is minimal. And it depends on your education. You may have a powerful brain, but that doesn't mean that you can use it properly.

It is not a theory. It is a fact. Humans are the smartest species on the planet. The closest animals in intelligence are doplhins, bonobo chimps and elephants.
Finding out which species are sapient and have high intellect is very simple really. You just have to see how much knowledge they are born with. Most animals have their brain practically fully filled upon birth. The more or less intelligent beings such as dolphins and elephants are born with about half of their brain filled with information. Humans are born with less than 10% of their brains filled, leaving 90% to be filled through education.

Yep, animals are definetly as intelligent or even more intelligent than humans, despite there being absolutely no information supporting that claim.

I mean I can argue with some random guy who claims that animals are as smart as humans. But I can't argue with photos of a chimp playing chess, that's proof that I was wrong right there.

i'm not say they're same or greater than human.. but they're more capable to memorize things, that what can make them much smarter than us.. (if they study)
they only more smarter about memorizing something than us..
if you teach them, they can go even smarter again (only if you want looks so dumb by neighbor because you teaching the damn stupid monkey)

You can't really measure how smart someone is by checking how much he/she/it can memorize. Altough it can be useful to have a great memory, the whole point is to understand, rather than just to memorize. We humans, write things down, draw maps etc. So we don't have to memorize it. It's easier to learn to read a map than to memorize where to go. Altough some animals can learn to use tools that doesn't make them smarter than us.

It's always a combination of things.
Humans wouldn't be controlling the planet and nuking eachother if they only had their intelligence to use.
The main thing is that humans found one specific way of beating the crap out of pretty much any animal, that's why there's so many of us.
It doesn't make us any smarter, it just means that there's nothing here designed to destroy us, except ourselves.
In that sense, humans are like herbivore animals - No predators and boom, you have too many of them.
