Idea For next mapping contest.

Well since the other mapping contest is finally in to a poll it'll probably take a about late February or early march before the poll and contest are concluded.

So i was thinking a Easter/Spring theme for next contest.

AoS could be a defense as well (DEFENSE of the ancients for example)...

I think that restricting the contest to genre promotes less creativity than giving keywords ("crystals forest druid" - make a map out of it for example)

That's the theme for the current cinematic contest though.

What about creating a map solely based on PvP? A arena fight similar to how a martial art tournament goes upwards. Soo that would require the idea of making it good enogh with allmost no limint of idea useage.

What about a Diablo 2 style map...where in you must battle a demon foe, or a Sin War scenario, where you take the sacred might of the heavens, or the devilries of the Burning hells, and using mortal pawns, seek to gain sway over all creation.

Or simply a battle between the two.

How about recreating a game? Like, the theme would be to recreate Oblivion, so you would make a "game engine" that is like oblivion (for those who don't know, it's a medieval RPG and the controls are like a fps)

The problem with a racing map is bnet lag. Arrow keys lag the most.

Nothing would beat a good turnbased RPG in multiplayer.

I suggest how about a mini-aos, which only has to contain 8-12 heroes for 4v4 to 6v6 gameplay and is small for a fast game, and since its so small it wont take too long to make.

Survival. <--- The map you make has to do ANYTHING with this word.

It can be zombies, something similar to island troll tribes, surviving cannon balls (Mini game) Or what ever. AS long as that map has something to do with Survival. Survival games are win.

I'd have to make a Jericho type map for survival although i will probly wait for sc2 for a jericho map, because the whole sci fi things fits better, plus hopefully new editor would help out better with it.
