Daniel searched around the room for his stuff and sure enough, he found them next to an armor rack. His two hand guns holstered to a belt, his katana, and his armor. He wore the belt and armor and slung the sword onto his back.
"I'm ready." He said.

Because the staff let me bring my hammer along the way, I don't have to enter the room to get any gears. I'm standing outside the door looking around when I saw someone standing on the far corner, the guy wearing black hoods, but still I can see that he is smiling no grinning. Then someone tapped my back, its so sudden that I almost jumped in shock. I quickly turn to the guy who tapped me, his wearing black coat and pants, I think he is a staff here. "Sir we're also offering guns for the students" he said "No I'm fine with my hammer." I replied. The staff then turn around and walked away, after that I look again on the guy standing on the far corner... but his gone.

Few minutes later, the others finished getting their gears and head outside the room.

[51]

When we entered the room, my groupmates were already looking for their equipments... I took sometime looking at what they will get, then decided to pick up mine...

Well, it was just a simple white hooded cloak which covers me from head to just before my feet, two lightweight daggers, a set of small throwing blades, a specialized pair of arm equipped short-crossbows which can be compressed to look like an arm guard and a quiver of arrows... I packed all my weapons into my current suit then put the robe on, hiding everything...

I picked up a rather derelict greenish-violet sword from the discarded arms piles. "This'll do." I said, and went to join the others. I sat down and started polishing the sword as best as I could. "Aaron, ya really shoulda picked something newer." Landemus said. "They say older things have ancient power." I said in reply, then I put on my old clothes and got up, "Let's go guys! Oh, but not before I take a gun." And picked up a sturdy three burst one.

I was sitting in a corner, while the others was chatting, and many of the candidates were walking into the dungeon every now and then, and I overheard someone talking. "Hey, did you know? The dungeon was once a graveyard for pets and monsters, and it was said to possess many evil spirits that once died there." One of the whispered, and the other continued. "I know, and at the last part of the dungeon, is the king of them, and only a few defeated him and moved on, those unlucky ones, well, they were chop in the head, and he hangs them around the room, telling that he had slain many, and you would be the next." I looked away, and Aaron stood beside me. "Its time, we should go now." I nodded, and along my new found friends, I traveled the dungeon with all of them.

It was dark, with walls that looked as if it just had an earthquake, rough, pointy surface everywhere, we have no other way than to walk in line. Until we reached a big room filled with dead bodies. "What the hell just happened here!?" Helvorne said, looking at the corpses lying lifeless on the ground. "They looked as if they were burnt to nothing, quite a disgusting scene, don't you think?" He looked at everyone, with eyes that looked as if something were to happened. "Look!" I heard Daniel yelled, pointing at the higher wall. It was disgusting. Heads were everywhere, hanging in rows, and all of them had empty eyes, that had wished they were never here. Suddenly, the earth crumbled. We were trying to sustain our balance, but it was no use, the earth crumbled so hard, that he had no way to balance ourselves, other than kneeling down. Then it stopped. We stood up, brushing off the dusts that had fallen off onto our body. Winds were blowing, when there is not even a hole to be seen, the wind started to gather at the big room, forming a big throne, with heads of dead humans as the material. Then, another wind blew in and this time, it formed a a figure. It's body was very muscular, it's armor was as big and as heavy like thousands of armors were stick together and formed an big gigantic armor. It's, or he's, head, was almost like an veteran soldier, with beard that hanged out of his muscular face, and his crown was filled with diamonds and jewels,, his hair was as white as mine.

As soon as the giant figure was completed, a shock wave followed, but we hold our ground by stomping hard on the ground. "Are you the next candidates that is about to challenge me!?" His king-like voice had echoed everywhere, and he stood up, quite fast, compared to his giant heavy size and armor. He swung his gigantic sword that had appeared beside him. All of us jumped and rolled over to the side, evading the slash. It could have been so painful, as it destroyed the wall behind us, causing the wall to be sealed out. Good thing we were the last team to go in. I stood up, and pulled out Heaven's Blade. I spring forward to him, and slashed him, it went through like paper even though his armor was very thick. But it did not seem to have effect at all, he palmed me to the wall, threw me back.

Looking at the big creature in front of us, my instincts were telling me that we're in for a hard fight. After his first attack, it was clear that we don't have the option to block, only to evade. I run close to him and unleashed some attacks but none of them seem to work. I then chose to keep distance and try to hit with arrows when he suddenly let out a powerful roar which sent us all back, luckily I had enough time to form ice at my back to minimize my impact to the wall.

Peper flew backwards, he reached his hand to the ground to brake. The big creature seems going to attack again. "Let's see how the lab boys modified this." He hold his Great Axe in guitar-like stance, with the wide barrel aimed at the creature. His finger tapped the trigger and a loud explosion occur in the front of the barrel, sending a big sharp bullet flying into the creature.

I rolled over to the side to evade the attack of the giant king, I quickly grab my hammer and run close to him and unleashed a strike to his chest. The hammer hit so hard that the armor crumpled but from his poise I can see that the strike did nothing to him.

I barely evade his counter attack to, good think Peper shoot him. I quickly stepped back and regain my poise. "This fight is fun." I said to others.

"The fun is just starting" He said with a grin.
Daniel took out his guns and flew to get close to him, dodging his attacks as he aimed for the monster's eyes. With the pull of a trigger, the beast was shot in the eye. He let out a loud roar and glared at Daniel who was flying away.
"You won't get away that easily." He grunted.
The monster lift it's right arm and suddenly torrent of flesh and bones shot out from under Daniel and slammed him to the ceiling, pinning him there as the meat started to slowly crush him..

"Peper shoot the ceiling!" and so peper took a shot to the ceiling which broke it, allowing daniel not to get crushed by the torrent of flesh, though he started to rocket upwards due to the non-stopping torrent of flesh so I rushed towards the enemy to distract it. I created some ice near the footing of the creature and Landemus slammed him hard making him trip and so the torrent of flesh stopped but the problem isn't over yet, the creature is still alive and Daniel will be crushing down...

I barely saved Daniel, but he is still trap by the torrents of flesh. Damn those things, why is there so many of them!? I looked at one side, and there is a grappling hook, I ran to it, and threw it towards Daniel. Hopefully, it was long enough to reach Daniel. " Grab it, Daniel!" And do he did it. He grab it, and then. "Everyone, help me pull Daniel down!" And they all started to pull him down, hopefully the trip bought us enough time to save Daniel.

I gotta find his weak point or we'll all be like meat toys. But where... I think as my friends fought with all they got, but somehow, when Sapphirius and Aaron shoot their ice at the creature, it covered it's wounded leg when it doesn't even feel itch at all, it covered its legs.... Wait! That's it! His weak point is there! "Guys! Aim at the scarred leg!" They all look at me, but nonetheless, they gave it their all at the target. The creature was constantly blocking his leg, trying to not let us damage his leg. They were all busy, and none of them noticed I was missing. I stood back, moves to the side where I can get a clear view and a clear range of my attack. I readied my stance, and focus all of my power on my blade, and within a a moment that they all backed down, I rushed with incredible speed. It was only moments away when I cut that creature's legs, and blood started to spurt out. "Heh, thanks guys." They were all confuse, and Aaron raised his question. "We didn't noticed you, where were you?" He said, with confused eyes. Then suddenly the creature laughed, and he sat back at his throne. "Very well done, human. Your observation skills is impressive, may you pass your exam, young Hunter." And with those words, he disappeared, without a trace. A door opened beside us, and we were all relieved. We walk to the door, helping Daniel walk his way to the door. And once we passed it, we were blew by warm winds.

I looked about. "Well that was....something." I said, and laid down my sword. I sat for a moment, what was that? A abomination? "This is gonna be very hard eh Landemus?" I said, and then turned my attention to my sword. It seemed, eager? How odd. "I'm going for a stroll, seeya later." I said, and walked about. This trial seemed far too serious then I thought it would be, this looks like it's gonna be fun though. And this sword, it feels like I'm bonding with it, an odd feeling for sure. I wonder if there is any history behind this sword? Hrrm, I closed my eyes, and just walked about. When I opened them, I saw I was infront of the door. Better go in, it's probably time to go in. I rejoined Landemus and the others in the next room. "Sorry bout that. Needed to clear my head." I said, "Any ideas as to what's next?"

Aaron came back from his "walking", and ask the same question that everyone asked just now. I was called by one of the examiner inside the bar where all the candidates were resting for their next phase, to his room. It was suprisingly messy for a examiner's room, and there were a television too! "You, Landemus Alseif." He pointed, and then sat down. "I called you, because we have decided you to be be group 10's leader, and the one who decides it all." A leader!!!? But why me? I mean, I am not capable of doing leader-like stuffs anyways. "But why me sir? I have no talents or sort at all." He raised an eyebrow, and clicked the button on the remote beside him. The television started to show a clip where me and my friends were fighting the big ass creature. And there was I, readying my stance, and moved at incredible speed, which the creature didn't noticed. The slash was so fast, that only after a few second the blood started to spurt out. "You call that "no talent" huh? How 'bout that?" He stood up, and gave me a badge, a note, a map and 6 wrist watches. "What are these for?" I asked, but he just pointed at the notebook, and at the map.

Landemus came back with 6 watches and a note and map.

"So what now? were gonna do treasure hunting?" I asked.
"I really don't know, he just gave me these and said nothing more" Landemus answered
"That's the only reason why they called you?" Helvorne asked
"They appointed me as leader of this group" Landemus said
"What are these watches for? Will the test be like the representative battle of the rainbow on one of the shows I watch?" I asked jokingly

"Hey, I think you'll make a great leader Landemus." I said, trying to keep his spirit up, "Whats the note read btw?" Landemus shook his head. "Haven't read it." He answered. "Whaddya waiting for then!?" I shouted, and jabbed at the note, as if it were an monster awaiting opening. It burned apart the minute Landemus grabbed it out. "Err, letters don't do that." I said, and everyone nodded in agreement. It's flames veered about us, seeking someone? It seemed to decide on me, for it went into my sword arm like an arrow. "AAAAGGHHHH!!!! My friggin arm!!!!" I shouted. "Yer hand my friend, it's got a tattoo on it." Landemus said, pointing towards my hand. It was ornate, with glowing points where gems looked burnt in, it seemed to form a royal arrow of sorts. "Aaron will be your guide." An examiner said simply, and walked off. "GUIDE!? WHAT KIND OF GUIDE!? THROUGH WHAT!?" I shouted in, fear? "Aaron, what's wrong?" Landemus asked. "Errr...nothing, really." I said, though it's a blatant lie. Strange memories were awakening in me, memories I didn't like at all.

It seemed to show a crossing over.....how odd.

The tattoo seems to be glowing whenever I handed the note nearer and nearer to Aaron, and then I got an idea. "Aaron, hold the note, and then look at it." He questioned, but did it either way. The tattoo started to vanish, and instead the words on the note appeared. "Here, you have it, Landemus. You ARE the leader of our group now." I nodded and took the book. The words on the note was neatly and tidy, unlike the examiner back there, it was the total opposite. It wrote :

This the note you will use throughout the exam, and the map helps you track down any destination you or we have made.

I flipped to the second page.

First, you need to write down all the members name, card number, age, race and the group's name. Fill out the list below, and proceed.

I looked at the blanks that I need to fill, and there were multiple blanks, but could not seem to write in it. I looked at the bottom of the page, it says that it is spell locked, and in order to unlock it, you will need to use magic. I started casting a very simple spell unlocker, and it worked. The words started to pushed out, and the flew on the air. There were a pen floating, it looked transparent, but it seems I could hold it. I started to fill out the names, age, members of our group and their age. But at one point, I was stuck at the Group's Name. I could not come up with one, so I asked the others. They were discussing with each other, and did not seem to have an idea.

Group Name Vote Time
Please post at the Construction Thread for the Group's Name. You may come up with one, and/or vote others.

The team was named The Shadow Trekkers, as well as the other teams. I opened the book again, and flipped to the third page.

From this page, is where your third phase will start. You will now find the ancient treasure located somewhere in Draconian colony, and must bring it back here once you find it.

I saw those words, and then I wasn't wrong. "I knew it, this map must be for treasure hunts, like this. It says an ancient treasure is located in Draconian's colony, and must bring it back here once we have it." They all started to look at our Draconian companion, they seem to have an idea of where it is. But I look back at the note, seeing whether there is something to look out for.

Be careful, there are only 5 treasures located there. So there are only 5 teams that is able to proceed.

Five teams only eh? I guess this isn't as easy at it seems. "It says there are only five treasures located in the colony, so we have to be very fast, or have an backup location in case of the treasure gets taken." They all started to pack their stuff, and I lay out the map on the table. Daniel, Peper and Sapphirius started to point out the location of the ancient treasure according to their legends that they have heard, and the points have been made. Daniel's hometown, Peper's temple and Sapphirius's Ice Cave, they were the locations. We set out for Daniel's hometown first as it is the nearest to us.

I looked about, eager for something to take my mind off of the stream of memories threatening to send me into a frenzy. "Errrmm....Anyone nervous?" I asked, I certainly was. These memories appeared dark, always showing a swirling pool of souls... I looked about nervously, I needed something to take my mind off this! I polished my sword, but it seemed to write words instead of clearing the blade. 'Fear' was written on it. I felt myself drift, drift into an endless sea. There was a thud in the distance, was that me?

I felt a burning desire for destruction, for death. And I felt a trickle of warmth in my arms, I looked, and saw my arms were on fire. "The demons within, the demons within." A voice chanted. "NO!! IT WASN'T MY FAULT!!" I shouted, and the warmth turned to pain, unimaginable pain! The flames turned into searing hot fire, and the faces of long dead comrades shone within. "N-no, p-please!" I whispered, for giant arms of the dead were now strangling me. "AAAAHHHH!!!!" I screamed, and the pain dissipated, and so did this nightmare.

I awoke to the team looking at me with an expression of pure surprise. "Aaron, what the hell?" Landemus asked. "A horrid, nightmare.... Let's not talk about it." I said, with an expression that I hoped said 'Please, just ignore it'. "You were screaming in agony, and saying 'The demons within'. Hard not to talk about it." Landemus said. "DON'T TALK ABOUT IT!!!" I shouted, and my sword was set ablaze, "AAGGHH!!!" I clutched my arms, which were now also ablaze. "N-no!! I'm not a monster...." I said, and the flames dissipated. "Ok, at first I was concerned, now I'm worried." Landemus said, looking at me with extreme concern. "I-it's nothing, let's keep moving ok?" I said hastily, it couldn't be, no... I would keep that to myself, I was not a monster. I was a half-elf, half human, that's all. I walked away.

OOC: Are we forgoing post markers?

The memories had stopped flowing now, but I was now experiencing a burning desire for destruction and death. I felt a presence, and whirled on the spot. It was that goblin from the bus, and I felt an overwhelming urge to kill him. Before I knew it, my sword was drawn and pointed at his throat. "YOU ANNOYING DAMN FLY!!! N-no...NO!!!" I shouted, putting down my sword at the last moment, "What am I becoming?" And turned to join the group once again.

"Do you sense it Helvorne? I do, and to be honest, my sense are far more sensitive then before...." I said to him. "Yes, and are you alright? You seem, hungry....but not for food." He asked. "Uhmm...AAAAAGGGHHH!!!" I said, being interrupted by a searing pain in my sword arm, which was now ablaze, "NO!!!N-not now...." I shouted, though it was reduced to a quiet plea. The world began to swirl around me..... And I heard Landemus and Helvorne say something but I couldn't hear them clearly.

I awoke to the feeling of being dragged, I looked and saw that Helvorne was dragging me towards the rest of the party. I also saw that I was a....wolf.....a big, black, wolf... "Errmm, guys, what happened?" I said. "Yea.....you were screaming in pain, and now yer a wolf Aaron.... Wierd, you can still speak." Landemus answered. "Will I ever be human again?" I said, oddly getting an urge to scratch my ears with my feet. "Well, maybe you should think of your old form.." Helvorne suggested. I thought of my old form, my elven ears, my brown eyes... I felt myself grow, when I looked down, I was standing again! "YEEEESSS!!!! Normal again!!!" I exclaimed, "I think I could cover more ground as a wolf though." I thought about wolves, and I felt a warm trickle, it grew to a searing pain. But it felt more tolerable now. "Hop on! There's room for two up ere!" I said, it was fun to change back and forth. I thought about my old childhood friend, he was a animagus.... I held back the tears in my eyes, I wasn't able to save him... But I'll protect these guys.

Aaron sure knows how to surprise people, I thought. And stayed at the back of the party. Not long, we've reached a village full of draconians, even though the place was quite high tech, the civilians are still using swords to fight. Some are even dueling others, while some of them cheered the others on. We walked inside, and a strange chill went down our spine. Winds start to blow at us, it was so strong, it broke off our balance. But, Daniel was standing still, as if nothing had happened. "Its the elder..." He looked at the sky, and the rest of us following him. A draconian was flying high up in the blue sky, flapping his huge azure wings. I was able to recognize his horns, it was curled, very much like an goat's. He started to land, and more I can analyse his huge azure-colored body. Scars was presented everywhere, and his left eye, was horribly scar, seeing that a huge scar from the forehead until his cheeks. "Welcome to our village, outsiders. And Daniel, you have come back..." His voice was very deep, like an ancient god or sort, and his speech is very.... dragon-like. I raised my head, "Yes, and we have come to collected your treasure." I started about to hold my sword, when he laughed hard. "Bwahahaha, you think YOU puny human can take our legendary sword!? Laughable." He said, in an mocking manner.

"Mighty one, we can prove our strength. I request a trial." I said simply, changing back into human form, I could get used to that. "Hah, you will fail, and die like many others who sought our sword. But I shall humor thee. Read this stone." He said, and conjured up a tablet. I bent forward. "He who is worthy, shall bring a party of friends, one of whom shall be a tainted one capable of many a great deed or great terror. This group must venture into the realm where all elements are one, and face their darkest nightmares. Only one who can conquer his darkness shall be worthy of this." I read, and dreaded the last part, for I knew what I would see. I braced myself to meet an old friend, a friend who I could not save. "L-lets go.... How can we see the way?" I asked the dragon. "Simply ask, and you will be pointed in the right direction." The dragon replied. "Where is the trial?" I asked the stone, and a light shone pointing towards a distant dune.

When we reached the dune, I felt something claw out from within. "Kill, killllll..." It said, and I shoved it furiously deep within me. Upon instinct I shoved the dune, revealing a hollow tunnel. "Well done Aaron!" Landemus said, and entered in. He stopped suddenly. "L-Landemus?" I asked, fearing the trial had already begun. "T-tis nothing." He said, "Let's get moving." As I journeyed in, I felt something reach for me. "A-Aaron....whhyyy did you do ittt.....whhhyyyyyyyyy???" Said the voice of a friend whom I had lost. "Taelan....is it really you?? I am very sorry old friend, I tried my best, but I was weak....Forgive me, I would give my life for yours." I said, my voice lowered to a small whisper. "I forg...ive...yo..uuuu" Taelan said, and faded, but not before embracing me. "Goodbye old friend, wherever you are." I said, and felt something grow within, a purity of sorts. Deep inside I knew my trial still awaited, but I made peace with my friend, and that gave me hope.

I knew something was wrong with Aaron, but I kept quiet. We journeyed in hollow tunnel, and when the path ended, a blade stands in the middle, sticking to the ground. "This is the blade of destiny, Granlisk. Treasured by our ancestors for a thousand year, not a single one was chosen by the blade." He said, looking at the sword. The sword was sheathed, but I could tell it was bigger than a broadsword.

Well that wasn't assuring. "Well? What are we waitin for?" I said, although I didn't move, or to be exact COULDN'T move, "W-whats happening??" And something tossed me like a rag, it was a death knight, and I knew this one. "Ya darn maggot! I WILL AVENGE HIM!!" I shouted, and leaped with uncanny speed, which was due to the fact I was a wolf again. I slashed at him, and realized something horrendous, it was not a death knight..... But was infact Taelan!!!! "NO!! It can't be!? No.... I am a monster.... Forgive me old friend!" I cried, and everything faded.

"Awaken, half-ling." A familiar voice said. "Urrggh, Taelan?" I said, my head pounding, and my vision blurred. "Hahah, sorry, I forgot ya hate that word. Anyways, tis good to see you old friend. I felt thine sympathy, and so has Granlisk. You possess great potential for good, and evil. I believe you can achieve great feats of heroism. Goodbye friend, I guess you gained my powers in that....fateful moment. I shall miss you." He said, and hugged me.

"Wha!?" I said, standing up in a start. "Landemus? Helvorne? Anyone!?" I shouted. "Turn baaaack.....turnnnn baaack..." A voice said. "If you failllll you'll be stuck to the moment you died....for eternityyyyy.." Another said. "I don't care!! I WILL RESCUE MY FRIENDS!" I said, and drew my sword. I ran into the tunnel, although I felt doubt for some reason....Hrrmmm.
