Free autdio editing program.

Sorry for the typo in the title...clumsy fingers are clumsy.

Basically, I need something capable of trimming some annoying vocals off a song, and speeding it up/slowing it down. Considering Audacity but am wondering if you guys know any better ones.

Hey frostloh, If you want free audio editing software then I'd suggest Audacity. It's free and quite powerful so I reckon you should get that. Anything much better than that and you enter the realm of pay-to-use software.

You can't rip out vocals if the vocals are on more channels than the center channel.
It'll sound like underwater - just deal with it.

Speeding-up/down works fine with Audacity; you can just in/decrease the BPM and that's that.
