Fortification buildings

This is my pack of fortification buildings for my wall system. I made them to have buildable and walkable walls (via triggers) with different animations for each level of destruction (see description of the different models). The wall system also features the abillity to turn the walls before building and has a height adjustment system, raising/lowering the terrain beneath the walls gradually to avoid big height differences between the wall sections.

I also made a presentation map with the wall system. There you can see how the models are intended to work (with some basic gameplay for testing and fun ).

The models only uses ingame textures (for low filesize), have a portrait camera and team colour.

Pls give credits, if you use it in your map.
You are allowed to modify it as long as you give credits.

Your map does not work.

Sry that I answer that late, but I forgot to subscribe.
In what way does the map not work for you? Do you get an error message, is there a probleme with the wall system, can't you open the map or anything else? Would really appreciate it if you could give me some more detailed feedback, so I can fix the problem.

EDIT: Nevermind, just saw that you also posted on my visitor wall. ^^

Exactly what we all need on hiveworkshop. I dont see how it could get any better, except for maybe a wooden wall, or a ditch that will slow enemies down while they are in it. 5/5

Thx, yeah I started doing a wooden wall / palisade version.

Though I just did the layout. I still need to make it destrutable and do all the animations etc...
I also planned on doing something like that ditch. But I don't know how to do it best yet, as I would have to change the ground or something or do it with a model or something.

Awesome! Simply perfect! There's only one little problem. When units are on the wall and the enemy is out of range, they can actually go down without using the stairs, somehow falling. In rest it's PERFECT!

Sounds like some problem with a wrong triggered pathing or wrong pointing. In which direction could they go down? Front (merlons) or back (stairs)? And when exactly did it happen? Was the wall part under rebuilding, previously rebuilt or under attack? Was it just one part or all? The more info I have the easier it is for me to fix it.
Though a short replay or something would be best of course.
Ah and most important did it happend with the showcase map or in your own map? Best reply in a PM to hold this thread clean.

How can i install the map
srry for my english is because i speak spanish

:vw_wtf: Just download it and open it with wc3...
Or do you mean to implement the fortification systems into another map? Therefor you should atleast be able to understand English well enough to read the instructions added into the map and have some basic experience with vJass/Jass as well. So that is probably to difficult for you with your current knowledge, sry...

I love the models and the map. But I can seem to get the triggers to work right on my own map. :ogre_rage:

Main issues I have are getting the stairs/ladders to work right and the gates.
I am kinda new to the triggering so its probly something simple I missed >_>.

Hey, I'm currently working on a big update to the map and especially its scripts. I added and remade alot of it and it should be way less buggier and stable and also less complicate to use/implement/modify hopefully. I'll have that update ready soon I think. So pls wait for that. If you then still have problems with it I'll try to help you of course.

I wanted to use these walls as destructibles in my map. However, when I make them play their "death upgrade first" animation via trigger the smoke effect loops forever. Is there any way to fix this?
Awesome and useful model by the way, I really appreciate your work.

Yea sorry, I forgot to set the smoke to null at the end of the animations. As a normal building you don't recognize that.
But it's just some additional lines in the mdl-file so I'll just fix it for you.

EDIT: Fixed and updated the models. :ogre_haosis:
