I'm not going to list every political party in this list, just the two major parties and the minor parties I'm familiar with. Which is your favorite party/one you affiliate with?

Personally I don't quite know which party I'd align myself with, but I think I'm Liberal on environmental and social matters, but believe in fiscal responsibility. I'd like to consider myself as being Conservative, but the wingnuts on the far-right who are derailing the GOP would probably shoot that notion down.

TIL America has more than 2 parties.

They're both full of crap, if you happen to be an American voter, do yourself a favour and vote independent/minority party.

Most people vote with the reasoning that they have to vote democrat/republican to prevent the republicans/democrats from destroying the country; but no matter which it is the policies are about the same, the amount of foreign invasions and illegal assassinations is still the same, big pharma/telco/corporate still get exactly what they want.

Bernie Sanders seems the only popular contender that seems like a good, honest person. But then Obama also seemed to be a champion of change when he ran.

why do Americans make their vote public. do you realise that 90% of the world keeps their vote private.

We normally don't. I was just asking just because. Actually I hear in Brazil people really don't care if someone else knows who they voted for because its actually illegal not to vote, so its pretty much pointless to them.

The world does not orbit around America, that's what I felt like pointing out.

Trust me, I'm very well aware of that. If I wasn't, I wouldn't have added the "U.S." part of the title.

If it makes anyone feel better, I supported the New Democratic Party during Canada's recent election. I didn't want more of Stephen Harper and his godawful environmental policies in Canada, and Justin Trudeau is another clown for his usage of affirmative action.

As for the UK, I support the Celtic and English separatist parties because I feel that over a millennium of undeserved subjugation by the English needs to end.
