Hey, I was just thinking something. I hear that the SCII editor is better and more powerful than W3, but could you import scripts from the SCII Editor to add on to your W3 Editor?
Hmm thats an interesting question. I think not; SCII will have a version of scripts that are just too powerful to add to WC3. But, maybe the other way around so you can work on an old porject better
I don't think SC2 will be using jass... Perhaps something close to it, but I don't think exactly it...
Besides, It'd demand some changes to the actual engine...
Who knows, blizzard might supprise us by giving SC2 the ability to emulate WC3, highly dought it thou.
They may support a jass script equal to that of WC3 for easy transfering of maps accross, but obviously their trigger script will have alot more to it.
I hear that Starcraft will have something of a built in physics engine. If this is the case, then most of the things we work the hardest to emulate in Warcraft will be obsolete; if Blizzard IS planning this, they better give us some awesome stuff. Warcraft's lack of initial programming complexity is the reason that it is so loved by all of us, so I'm curious to see how SCII will turn out.
