I actually had a character on 56th level and your hint helped allot so I started looking at my inventory trying to find something and Just then I realized (well my brother did but...) so yea Its quite a nice thing ;)

Ah okay  Guess you can't remember where you found it then? Its quite a distance up in the highest mountain - So you must be one who explorer a bit, like I would assume all player who truly enjoy RPG's.

but why they made a minecraft easter egg? I don't understand it >_<

Because those who make computer games also enjoy playing computer games  And among the many easter-eggs they apparently figured a minecraft one would be neat.

I play TES not just for its awesome gameplay and story but also for exploration, that I think really takes a nice place in games like these... I mean really sometimes you're happy to find a god damn snowbarry ;)

I found the Pickaxe at the Top of High Hrothgar ( Throat of the World ) where you find Paarthunax the Greybeard leader ;)

Well the tough choice is I usually do everything possible in the game with every char I play - I get every special item and do every quest so it takes its time. And I haven't even allied with Stormcloak or Empire yet with the current one.

-------------------------------SPOILER-----------------------------------
You should make a warrior type of char, and finish the Companions quest line and Whiterun side quest's as well as the main story line until you need to go to the Thalmor Embassy. That got me to like 31 level without the companions being completed, but I play on Master with SkyRe (Its pretty fu**** Hard). I think that SkyRe might not be compatible with Dragonborn so that is the only thing that bothers me right now, but It will eventually get patched.
I am now close to finding that last peace of Wuuthrad so I gues I will be like level 34-35 before Dragonborn :)

SkyRe is a necessity for me to play now. It's basically how the game should have been made originally.

I keep feeling the temptation to open Skyrim, but I still haven't in a long time. I wish they would have simply added the ability to play with small groups of people instead of making another damn MMO.

Do not worry they will continue to make SP games (Bethesda) while the Zenimax Online Studios will produce ESO with completely different setting... I still think you are right you should be able to play with 3-4 friends at least, that would be cool ;)

Ever since I got my new graphic card(which isn't that great: NVIDIA GTX 550 Ti), my FPS is usually at 50-60, but occasionally I get the most terrifying FPS drops to like 10-20 FPS or so(usually inside caves with lots of fog, or when I'm in combat), so that just makes me unwilling to play. :(
I think that the lags may be caused by my processor, which is an ancient Pentium Dual Core. I don't have any texture or graphic mods installed either.

Your processor should be fine. My old E8400 (duel core) ran it on high settings with an ATI HD4850. If I remember correctly. Lowering shadows should help a lot.

Hi.

I'm afraid that if I start to play Skyrim I will loose all contact with real-life and civilization.

What do!?

Don't worry you won't. I started playing again I can still vaguely recall the odd woman that sometimes knock on my door to say that dinner is ready.

Where the dinner is located however is another question, I can't seem to find that marker on my map.

Worked with a 3D model and some study stuff - And some minecraft and spent time wasting cash

Do you mean the one at the top of one of the mountains, with training dummies and stuff for marksmanship (archery-vanilla)... She is quite a good trainer...

Yep  Just a shame I already had what I need in it. But still was quite fun. Though its not really dummies, but more of very tiny target shields.

I thought the same thing...

Don't get me wrong, Skyrim's not bad, but it's no Oblivion.

Nah, the more correct thing would be to say that its not Shivering Isles - Damn I love Shogarth, and too little of him in Skyrim. But yea, its a tough match between those two - in many ways guilds were better done in oblivion - in some cases rewards. However main story more for Skyrim and some folks. Tough call really - I miss more secret entrances

I dunno. Skyrim is a lot more entertaining than Oblivion to me. In Oblivion, the landscape was always the same, and always boring. In Skyrim, most of the game is found outside of dungeons and cities. The world is beautiful, and incredibly fun to explore.

Yep, that might be why Shivering Isles was so great for me, much fun to explore and crazy at the same time. If that could be put into Skyrim it would be awesome to behold. And agreed, the world is better and so with many items. But some quests was better done in Oblivion/Shivering. (I am not counting The Nine.. waste). I also miss the arena

Well, picked up Skyrim. Managed to reach Riftan Town.. or how it's called, and have about 4 shouts unlocked. Have been using Lydia as a mule.

Currently I am a using a 1h sword, a shield, heavy armor. Thinking of going for Dragon Armor smithing, placed 1 point in Smithing... and not exactly sure if I should go for any magic. I would rather not, because I like my brute/medieval like warrior, dunno if the content is doable without ranged attacks tho... as the latest Dragon I killed was a bit of a struggle, him not being in meele range and all.

Edit: Another problem I have is that I don't have enough Stamina to carry stuff, my (and Lydia's) bags are mostly heavy due to dragon claws, skulls and whatnot. MISC stuff basically, I assume they are useful in Dragon Armor forging? Or they are just to be sold for a nice 250-500g a piece?

Don't worry about being melee-only. Dragons land often, and you could always give a bow to your follower, or just use a follower who knows magic spells. As for using Lydia, well, I'd definitely recommend a different follower. There are plenty of characters who are much more in-depth, and will comment much more often about stuff than Lydia. For example, you could hire a mercenary named Erik from Rorikstead - he is a very friendly chap, and he's actually a tribute to an avid Elder Scrolls fan who had cancer, and sadly, passed away before Skyrim was released.
You could also try Erandur, a Dunmer from Dawnstar. Check inside the inn. I don't really want to spoil much about him.
Serana, follower added by the Dawnguard DLC(if you have it) is also a great choice.

And about carry weight. You could try some mods, or you could try raising your stamina, or enchanting your gear\finding enchanted gear with the Fortify Carry Weight enchantment. This is a great mod that greatly enhances a character's appearance, and helps solve the carry weight problem in a lore friendly way. :)

Also should be said, you will prefer to have Daedric Armor than dragon, as its better - Though if I were you I get a good armor mod with a decent leather armor or heavy armor, if you dislike looking somewhat like a demon instead of a "hero"

I can recommend:
Leather Armor

Sneaky Armor

My personal preference

Some a little more "evil"

I have a ton of others, but there are a few recommendations as to armors. But you'll likely find your own preference.

Well, I feel cheated, I mean I trusted you guys, and look now... woke up, and the first thing that comes to mind... Skyrim.

Well Lydia died, resurrected her to get my Misc back... she had none. So I will just solo through content for now. Have to agree, Lydia was rather boring, no real comments. When I got out of jail, I hoped she'd comment about my behavior... nothing, she was as dull as any side-kick from 1990's.I found Erik, convinced his father to let him become an adventurer, hope he won't take an arrow to the knee

Interesting mod Deolrin, thanks.

Well, I shouldn't get into many graphical mods, since I play on an old PC, everything on LOW, and after 4h of gameplay I need to refresh the cache because the controls get less precise.

Oh (Those are armors btw, should not effect performance if it runs okay on low), but to improve it you should also get TesEdit (Cleans it, removes stutterings so forth).

Also a must to get before you play much (Only install those you got DLC for):
All the u-patches:
Skyrim
Hearthfire
DawnGuard
DragonBorn

Also Highly recommend getting Nexus mod installer, makes things so much easier.

I figure you won't need this, but just in case:
TexturePack Patch

For some not high performance improvements:
Footprints
Smarter AI
In case you go range - this really is a nice one
Better Guard Speech
If third-person user - Fix camera
Smart Villagers - Dragons

In case of DawnGuard:
Smart Villagers - Vampires

For a little more power:
Shouts

Graphic Improvement - With minor Impact:
Better looking armors

Have Fun

Oh and in case of dying followers:

Okay, so went with Elven + Scaled & Plated smithing.

Ran into problems with how heavy the Scaled & Plated armor is. I guess I will install that mod you guys suggested. I know I can use console, but I feel that would take the fun away.

Also I keep getting temped by evil gods to do their bidding. Kind of annoying since my stance is of a generic hero.

Edit: The Armor Pack is awesome, but when you are playing everything on LOW and suddenly your armor looks better than the rest of the game, that doesn't really fit. Prolly when I get a better PC sometime this year, will install all them sweet sweet mods. Anyway, thanks guys! :)
