Map Info:

Melarion's Tomb is role-playing boss-fight based game.
Select one of 5 character, choose your talents and
fight your way trought Melarion's Tomb and complete
all challanges wich are waiting for you.

Game offers you unique scripted bossfights, abilites and
systems. There are many optional quests, corridors witch can keep your
interest for many games. Without teamwork and reflection, you
won't complete game.

Features:
We are trying to use as high quallity resources as possible.

Story


Thousand years ago, Melarion and his brother Yemeron
were oppressing lands, slaying all humanity in their way.
One day they came Azeroth.
Many treasures were stolen, many innocent life were wasted,
but also, in Azeroth they found their descruction. Their remains were stored
to ancient tomb. Mages of Kirin Tor were roved to close
tomb with their power, so noone can ever discover what happened.
By the years,the tomb was forgotten, and was
hit by effects of time.
Many creatures found their home there.
By the time they grew up and got much stronger.
Ashes from remains of brothers has dissapeared, but souls has stayed.
One day, the tomb was found by the grand mage of the Kirin Tor, Rhonin.
He unsealed it and let his men inside to explore it.
Who knows what evil lurks down there...

What can we expect at Beta 1.00a?

Beta 1.00a will be first public release,
and it will be in testing stage. Beta 1.00a
will include:

- 4 Bosses, each is unique with different spells.
- Over 40 custom items
- Attachments
- Score
- Randomizator

- Exlopration

This is overall map look for beta 1.00a

Primal Water

Primal Water is ancient element one of last of it's kind.
Mages of Kirin Tor gave this creature strong element powers
to ensure noone will get to the Tomb of Demons.

Tactic
Primal Water is basic boss with few AoE spells.
To make sure healer can hold damage, "Marked" player
should get out of other players, so damage effect
will be lesser.

Mark of Water.
Mark of Water is timed AoE damagive spell.
After timer expires, it will damage every player
around "marked player". Also damage "Marked" player.
Damage: X-X
Damage after: 5 Seconds
AoE: 275
Cooldown: 11 Seconds.

Tsunami.
Tsunami is AoE damagive & debuff spell.
Each affected player get slowed attack & move speed.
Move speed decercase: 35%
Attack speed decercase: 30%
Damage: X-X
Effect last: 3 Seconds.
Cooldown: 9.5 seconds

Curse of Water.
Curse of Water is AoE curse spell, making each affected
player to have a chance to miss.
AoE: 400
Chance to miss: 20%
Effect last: 3 Seconds
Cooldown: 6,5 Seconds.





Tidal Lord
Tidal Lord was once a human in serve of Yemeron.
After Yemeron's fall he decided to search
for his remains and start revive ritual, but he got
cursed when he was trying to pass trough
Kelash, the Gatekeeper. After years, his body and mind
got rooted, and he found his home at the middle of
Tidal Ring.

Tactic

To defeat Tidal Lord, there is needed to have
great healer with fast reflections.
Spread around the room so Tidal Wrath affect maximum
1 player at one time.

Tidal Wrath:
Tidal Wrath is line-AoE spell, stunning each affected unit.
Damage: X-X
Cooldown: 7 Seconds.
Effect last: 1,5 Seconds.

Slamming Ground:
Slamming Ground is AoE stunning spell.
AoE: 350
Damage: X-X
Effect last: 0.75

Whirl Wind:

Whirl Wind is AoE damage spell.
AoE: 225
Damage: X-x

Critical Strike:
Critical Strike, passive damage multipler
Multipler: 1,5 x
Chance on hit: 15%







Druid of Depths.

The Druid of the Depths was once a powerful druid
who served the Earthen Ring,
but he was cursed and mind-controlled by Melarion to serve him.
After the Demon's fall, he was ordered to guard the Tomb of
his master for all eternity and let none pass.

Tactic

Druid has strong healing spells. Only a way to succes
fight, is to interrupt channeling Tranquillity, for
it's massive and fast healing.

Nature's Fire.
Nature's Fire is advanced single target damage spell, with another
damage over time effect. Also stun player.
Damage: X-X
Stun effect: 0.75 Seconds
Damage over time: X-X
Damage over time effect: 9 seconds, each 3 seconds.
Cooldown: 9 Seconds.






Kelash, the Gatekeeper.

Kelash, the Gatekeeper is a lightning revenant,
summoned by the mages of Kirin Tor to guard the Tomb of
Yemeron, so no-one will open it and release
the darkness kept inside.
He was once very powerful,
but with the time his powers faded,
since he guarded the tomb ten thousand years
and still, no-one passed trough him.

Tactic

Kelash has strong debuffs. To succes fight,
make sure Drainning Totem will be destroyed
as fast as possible.
Spread around room, so drainning totem and
chain lighting will affect less players.

Power Nova:
Advacned AoE damagive spell.
AoE: 550
Damage: X-X
Cooldown: 10 Seconds

Chain Lighting:

Chain Lighting is slow AoE spell.
You can run away from effect if you are quick
enought.
Number of Max targets: 5
Damage: X-X
Cooldown: 7,5 seconds.

Electricity Totem:
(Drainning Totem)
Each second, totem picks every player in 600 AoE drainning mana.
Totem last: 10 Seconds
Cooldown: 10 Seconds
Mana Drained: X-X Mana/Second




What can we expect in further versions?:

In further we are planning to add new classes, bosses, zones and events,
AI, difficult changing and dungeon progress saving.

Map will come up soon, until the end of month probablly, biggest problems are with changeable camera view and 3 spells for bosses, if this will be done, map will have only easy work left.

About story, well we are both (Me and Blood Raven) not best at English,
so any person wich can write english nicely could help us ;P

Archeron is paused, but update will be here soon, so people will have atleast something to play there. There are many buggs and I personally starting to dislike Archeron, many buggs, hard lagg. We have decided to make something smaller and less complicated, something what people should enjoy more :)

I really liked the project , the idea is good , the presentation is great , showing that this deserve more attention than now....
The terrain is well made , not so poluted but still very detailed , good job Blood Raven , waiting to see the expansions =D
If you guys need help with spells(i know gui) and ideas just call me...

All beta bosses are done with thier spells and tactics, but they still needs balancing. Now we will make some of the calsses and mobs, so we can take some ingame screenshots, videos and balance everything. About the Terrain, the beta one is 100% done (still may use minor improvements trough), now i think i will begin with the Yemeron's Tomb Expansion terrain. Wait for the next updates!
Thanks to everyone that likes my terrain, it gives me great motivation :)

I did to spells , the water mark and the knockback passive, the knock back i almost did nothing , just set the bribe trigger to passive...(credits to him)
But the water mark i did my self , i think it got what u was looking for , dont know , the last effect i think that should be changed but dont know to what xD

EDIT:

Added Curse of Water to the list... just need to put an special effect at start but dont know which one to put, hope u liked it =D

EDIT 2:

Added the eletricity totem, effect can be changed if you want =D and easy to change other things , hope u liked it =D

EDIT 3:

Added Chain Lighning with random target =D (i m done for today)

Any bug tell me =D

Haha i know but thats just for a simple skill , no need to be that great =D

EDIT:

After some thinking i remade the spell, it s better, i think =D

...and the impale if casted more than twice lags more than hell so i m going to start from scratch =0

EDIT2:

After a long time working on the nature`s fire, i made it work , very easy to configure (how many effect created , rounds it does , damage, speed, distance btwen circles and that stuff) .........(i m not going to use that effect but i m tired for looking a better one) =D

Looks nice, so Rhonin will be a NPC in-game or he will never appear? I think that if some NPC's could participate in some important bosses(main bosses) would be great as it gives people a different feelings. Also, are you lack with some Hero ideas? If you could tell me their roles I might can supplies you with some Hero ideas.

Thank you forst support, Rhohin will PROBABLY will be something like dungeon master, wich start special events, give quests and accompanies you trought game, he also open gates to Yemeron's Tomb and Melarion's Tomb, but he is unavaliable during bossfight/special events.

About heroes, in Further we will add new tanking hero, ofcourse it must be something special, and making him different from classic high armor, hp and taunting tank.
If you got idea, and I will like it you will be +reped and credited :)

Also, i will today update map thread with 3 new sections. :)
- Creatures
- Special Events & Quets
- In Further (WIP screenies of bosses/terrain, ideas, incoming systems.)

Okey, so I need to know some more informations about the heroes.
First, How many ability will them have? Each ability with how many levels? Do you want me to think about the values or just leave it to you?If yes, how many Hp will be your first(easiest) boss's Hp, armor, damage and the last boss's Hp, armor as well as damage.

Well, each class has 7 spells, 5 actives, 1 passive and 1 buff/debuff
Values are up to me beacuse of balancing.
It should be Human/NE/BE and max dwarf, no undead, unreal races (i mean it should look simillar to human)

It should be magic based tank, i mean other tank has psychical damage/heavy armor/HP tanking, this need to be somehting special you know:p

Wow this looks really good! My suggestion from what I've seen so far is to get somebody who is really good at english in the project (to write lore and tooltips and so on for you).
 
Allright, guys, we're back to this project ;)
The problem is that we need someone that knows perfect english to write the stories and other things and someone that can trigger nice spells. If you fit some of these 2 roles, post in this thread: Melarion's Tomb Recruiment.
About the map, beta version is nearly done, we just need to finish some classes and items and we will release the beta in this thread (and possibly in the maps section)
Hope you liked the terrain, more coming soon!

All you will ever get are some pretty pictures and ideas of a mapmaker.

How do I know this? It took Rising Dusk a whole year to make a decent dungeon game with only 6 scripted bosses, and this guy is promising 18 bosses but has not even done the first one.

Probably because he is busy implementing systems that have no purpose in this type of game.

Anticheat System? Against what? there is no PvP here.

I bet you this guy cannot produce a demo with first boss in less than two months.

My god, I'm sorry that not everyone is perfect.

People are allowed to make a thread about their project if they so desire, no need to post a demo with it. They're just having fun making a map and some people usually enjoy playing the finished map.
Also if you know how to trigger things well, terrain well (which by looking at the screenshots, he knows well) and to come up with ideas well, then it shouldn't take you more than 3-6 months. Rising Dusk was probably demotivated at some point and then came back to the map again after a while.

This is your opinion.
We have allready scripted 5 bosses from incoming 8 in beta.
Map is fully terrained, all items and their abilites are done.
We are only stucked on hero's abilites.
Now please leave our thread, don't need such posts here.

So basically what you are saying is that if this guy knows to make maps like Rising Dusk and does not ever get demotivated he has a chance of doing it in 3-6 month? How is that different from my opinion?

I agree that people have rights to make threads about their projects.
And other people have rights to post their opinions about projects.
My opinion is already stated above and it is a valid experience based prediction.

This guy does not need you defending him, he needs a demo map.

Remember the games like Obsidian Depths or Impossible Bosses?
See them being played today? Wanna know why?


Random bnet noobs start your game for the first time and they all die at the first boss.

Consequence:
99% of people will just play your game once and never bother again.

Advice:
Your first boss MUST be beatable by a group of blindfolded monkeys chewing on a keyboard.



Your boss channels some shit and than all players die, but noone knows why???

Consequence:
Some people will try to beat that boss a couple more times but will eventually give up.
Once again no one will play your game.

Advice:
Do not even think that because you have a boss spell description somewhere on internet people will actually try to find and read it.
Working of boss spells MUST be obvious from spell effects.



Your game is for 12 players and you need full house to play it.

Consequence:
If you don't understand why this is bad you are just wasting your time mapmaking

Advice:
Make it a 5 people game and make it possible to play with just 2 expert people.



You don't have difficulty settings.

Consequence:
Noobs will never get past first two bosses and you will lose 90% of your players.

Advice:
Don't be afraid people will always play your game on easy mode.
Veterans will play it on hard, but you will never get any veterans if you don't let some noobs play around first.
Do NOT be jelaous of people actually beating your game.

Difficulty setting is also important for people not playing with full house.

what the hell is wrong with you?, give him a chance...we all have a choice to
do what we have to do as long as we don't run on people or respect them,
the hive is here for beginners and experts a-like to people who wants post
their resources, who knows that this guy will be as good as RD in the future...

We are only stucked on hero's abilites.

I can help you with spells & systems, I like boss fights & your terrain...
