Diablo III Warcraft Beta v1.19b



This map has been based on the Diablo III Gameplay Video. You may even recognise a few of the in-game events if you've seen it! Please remember that this is a beta version, and may still contain bugs. Anyone can host this online, just let me know if you find any major flaws in the game :)

I just dont want ppl creating shoddy versions, such as unlimited tomes, loads of exp and generally just messing the map up :)

You don't have to protect your maps.

Just use Wc3 MapOptimizer 4.6 to remove all the crap in the map. This will also result in removing all visual stuff when opened in the editor.

This map is a lot of fun to play!
And the athmosphere is awesome.

The only thing i would like to ctirice is the Difficulty if u wanna play it solo.
U could add Somthing that gets the number of players and removes a couple
of enemies for every missing player. Or simply reducing thei hp.

Some other points:
  • The Icons on the Units not always fit, like the barbarian.
  • The icon on the Dragon thoot looks more like a sword.
  • Missing the Mixing of powers with summons
  • Missing some spells (lazhor from mage)

Final result: a just GREAT map , a great remix of the Trailer for wc3!! keep it up

A very well done and fun map!
I suggest tuning up the brightness as, though it does add a lot of atmosphere, it reduces the satisfaction of killing mass enemies and makes it HARD TO SEE!!!
War stomp was a little overpowered against bosses, as 2 barbarians can keep one permanently stunned using it, make the cooldown longer.

Awesome map, I like the boss fights and all, it's really good. But it's kinda hard to solo, already, bar seen to stun lock every boss with whisper blade plus it's stun.

And I tried your other maps, it's really good, I like the boss fight and all.

Great map, you really get that great diablo feeling.
Keep working on it and it can turn out to somthing really awesome soon. But personally i think you should make it for Starcraft 2 when it release, that would be pretty damn awesome.

Map is really good, warchases and this map are few good rpg's out there... but find some ppl to make you an original models, and animations on them like on d3, also you could work on attachments and stuffs like this. Map is great, to bad its not an original idea...

Hey man, I made a Fire Bomb that is very customizable and fits D3 way more then your current. I would like you to try out your previous version I upload, so that I can convince you to put it into your map^^


The Advantages (imo)
- Better Model / and bigger
- Fully customizable
- Nice explode effect
- Matches D3
Edit:
- Shows AoE
- Targets ground - does not follow the target
- Can be thrown down cliffs :D

To test it simple take the Witch Doctor

You need to use MapOptimizer 4.6 to make your map smaller. It also protects your map.

your terrain is awesome!
i never saw a beter and such an exact remake of a Diablo III preview.^^

The abilitys aren't the best and the hotkeys don't work all the time,
but the hack'n slay feeling was great! ;-)

Y know know that, gameplay comes 1st, but i ment after map is stable to work onvisual effects.

One thing i forgot to mention is that this map will take a lot of time befor its perfect and stable. if you make a map out of a game that isnt released yet, there will be much new features, areas, classes and such that gets revealed whole the time. which give you not so much time to make models ^.^
A Stable map of Diablo 3. I dont think that will happen for a long time ( if he keep updating the map as the game updates ).

Aye :) As far as updating the map goes, I'll definately be putting in the new classes as blizzard reveals them, however, as far as the actual levels and such are concerned, I'll probably leave them as they are.

I'm not attempting to recreate the whole of diablo 3, this is just a short RPG based on what ive seen in the trailers.

However, saying that, I do have a nice concept ide like to share :)

Once all the classes become apparent, I might put a team together to create several different maps based on areas in Diablo III. Each of these maps would feature the same heroes, but contain a new level with new creeps and bosses.

Once this map/level is finished, it could be used as a template to create new levels as separate maps. This will ensure all trigger data is consistant throughout. This also means aplayer could possibly Load his/her character on any of the created maps giving it a sort of ORPG feel, but more focused on an "Instance" style gameplay :)

This also means that if you happen to ge defeated first time around, you can reload your character with the stats he/she had before you died, and try again.


Once again, I must remind you all that this is JUST AN IDEA and I currently have no plans to go ahead with it :)


In other news, ive decided to change the made up Puppeteer boss into the Skeleton / Ghost boss seen in the wizard trailer! :D He will be featured in version 1.03 once it is complete.

I would like to ask some questions.
Who made the Archangel Tyrael Model? Cus the model is very well done.
Can i use the Archangel Tyrael model? Want to use him in my AoS ;)
Have you been thinking of an custom attribute system or wasnt it mentioned befor? It would be nice whit that. ^_^

Well, that was my questions. Now the other stuff.
Barbarians stomp stun to long in full level, you can almost stun anything to death whit some mana potions. Its like one seconds delay between the cooldown time and the stun time. Also, you should get a good JASS coder to make so that you jump and slam the ground when you hit the ground.
Barbarians Cleaving attack is not a passive spell in diablo, it is an attack that smash all enemies around your target.
Blizzard also confirmed that barbarian will use a rage system insted of mana. (Like in World of Warcraft)

Attribute system is a n system that lets you chose what attributes (STR,AGI,INT) will be leveled up. Like in Diablo.

By default all attributes are leveled up by a fixed value.

Great Map, I would like to see custom spells, and perhaps make some spells deal damage based on attributes? I think it would work great with attribute system.

Here is my idea about rage: Set mana regen to -5. Add 20 Mana every attack. And set max mana to 0.

Also, the tyrael model is by Expresso, you can find it in the modelling forums :)

An attribute system is one there you get a several attribute points every level. Then you can choose between Str, Agi, Int. (Diablo: Str, Dexterity, Vitality, Energy). Also, items will require a special amount in every stat, tex: Sigon's Guard
Tower Shield
Defense: 24
Change to Block: 69%
Durability 60 of 60
Required strength: 75
Required level: 6

1 to all skills
20% increased chance of blocking
