Diablo III Warcraft Beta v1.19b

This map has been based on the Diablo III Gameplay Video. You may even recognise a few of the in-game events if you've seen it! Please remember that this is a beta version, and may still contain bugs. Anyone can host this online, just let me know if you find any major flaws in the game :)

The map's main factor would be the amazing terrain, however the gameplay is a bit lacking due to some of the more awesome spells of the classes being missing. (Also no Demon Hunter since this isn't being worked on anymore)

First of all, let me apologize for reviewing the map so soon, that doesn't usually happen -- I always give the map time to take the first waves of critique. But since mini-judge bounty hunter2 pointed me to it, we ended up playing it in one of our map testing sessions.

i only played it in single player >_>
but tested every class o.o
and ill play it soon on battle.net *_*

the terrain is perfect x3
and also the camera is a good idea and gives the whole a nice style :3
but i suggest to fix the camera on the hero o.o
the only negative point are the abilities o.o
i think not one is triggered ^^''
(but the most abilities in D3 are similar to the wc3 basics so its not a real issue)

because its a beta it deserves 5/5 o.o

Perfect Diablo feeling, Great custom models, skins, icons, cool bosses, ....
Good triggers- Boss fights units spawn-> like in Diablo 3
For a beta version it´s very awesome

Map is unbalanced( Easy to win)
And the map is a little bit to small
Very less different types of enemies
And some other things....

Keep up the good work

Wow! I was a bit suspicious when I saw a new, non-approved map with a 5 thumbs rating, but downloading and playing it myself removed that suspicion. Once you pick a hero, you immediately feel as if you stepped inside the Diablo III gameplay trailer indeed. Will play this on bnet asap.
When browsing the heroes etc, I noticed some small glitches (e.g. the mana shield tooltip still refers to the sea witch, and the hotkey of the sorceress' chainlightning collides with hold position), but that will probably be fixed with future versions. 4/5, and this map definitely has potential for more :)

Alsome, it was good for a beta, I agree. Few things you might wanna fix.

-The Witchdoctor's Revive thing should be fixed. It revived the last boss "siege breaker" and pawned the remaining zombies.
-There should have been Cultists.

So I saw your map, thought oh noez, not another Diablo shit map. Then I saw the rating and comments and I thought, hell why not take a look. I made a good choice. You made a good map.

Here is my rating and comment:

1 - 10 points go on originality

1 - 10 points go on terrain
1 - 10 points go on bug free
1 - 10 points go on gameplay/fun factor
1 - 10 points go on lag
1 - 10 points go on proper submission and crediting
That equals 80 points max.

Originality: 5 points
It's Diablo, how original is that?

Object editor work: 6 points
It was good, not too interesting spells or anything, but it was generaly fine. Although you must fix the Witch Doctor issue, I took him and whoola ended up reviving bosses. Not cool.

Scripting: 8 points
Not much scripting was needed in a map like this, and what was needed was generaly done good.

Terrain: 9 points
The best part of the map. Man you created a awsome atmosphere, that reminded me a lot of Moria. Hell you should make a LOTR map aswell. Your terrain inspired me to start mapping after a week break. It was simply beautiful.

Bug Free: 4 points
Sorry but you must fix the Witch Doctor revive. Also you could fasten the camera at cinematics. When the Pudge boss appeared I was exploring stuff at the other side of the map, so the camera was panning realy slowly for me.

Gameplay/Fun Factor: 9 points
Very good and not boring. I mean the crawlers coming from all over are simply amazing. Well done in this field too.

Lag: 10 points
The game didn't cause lag, nice loading time.

Proper submission and crediting: 4 points
You should add more info here at the THW, and also credit the skin/model creators here aswell.

In overall: 55 / 80
The map suprised me with its freshnes and great terrain. The Crawlers were my favourite part. For a beta this is very good, and you are on a great path.


- Class Weapons
- Custom music
- Even more darker atmosphere

However the map is good and for now, as a beta it deserves a 3/5 from me certanly. It leans to a 4.

Map has been updated! Witchdoctor has a set unit to summon now, rather than any dead enemy. He also has a new ability, Fire Bomb. Theres also a few extra items and creeps. and a few balancing changes =] More updates coming soon!

EDIT: In reply to the above post, all modellers will be credited when the final is released :D For now, ive just stuck a general "All models from THW" because they're gonna keep on changing every day and i dont wanna keep updating it :S lo

fantastic map! if that's what you did with some video clips, io cant wait to see what you're going to do with a complete D3 map when the game comes out!I was unable to try it with other people, so im not sure if it becomes more difficult with multiple people, but it was slightly easy on single player for me. nonethelesss, an excellent map!
One this is one fantastic map! when i saw it i said omg another noob map. When i opened the page i saw all the great comments, so i tested it and when i first saw it i was shocked. I hope you finish the map. By the way there is a bug with the puppet master, when you come to the door you dont have to fight him the barbarian just uses his spells over and over again and kills him. Make pathing blockers for sight that will help much. The murloc is very strong his HP needs to be lower and the puppet masters hit points needs to be at least 4000hp

This sure is one hell of a map! You immediately feel like you're playing Diablo. But I'd like to see the Barbarian with more triggered spells. Can't wait to put my hands on the final!

cloudWolf where do i find the spells? i dident understand theh hero has no spells at the start ? but the map kick ass its awesome terrain but u should jave some kind of other model for the barbarian i think and i know a spell u could have for him :D i find the spells now itsnearly orginal all :(

umm.. I have no idea whats gone wrong for you :S Ive retested the map several times, and it always works for me xD They just have normal spells so they arent hard to find :p

I re-uploaded it to be sure, so try re-downloading the map :)

As for the wizard dying, when a player leaves, his/her hero dies, then dissapears to prevent unnecesary units lagging up the map :) Your hero may also dissapear completely if you die with no revives =]#

This Map is Simply Superb it Realy does feel like your playing Diablo III =D
I have played as the Witchdocter and Wizard and enjoyed the map both times. I Think this is the best Diablo map I have played and Deserves 5/5. My Only suggestion for this map would be to make it Much Harder as at the Moment it is far to easy. I cant wait for the full version =)

Or you can just download the "miscdata" from the terrain forum and put it in your wc3 folder. They have stickied the thread with the download.

The map is very good, I liked the terrain. It was very easy at first but later it gets harder if your on your own that is.

a trigger spell that you could give to the barbarian would be the ever-fun Leap Attack, or at least a leap-attack-based trigger spell

Seeems Like nobody answered me so I ask again

When we can enchant the spells with runes like in real Diablo 3???

i.e Adding great Fire Rune to teleport causes to make an chaotic shockwave on the place you teleport

I think that´s the coolest thing on Diablo 3

Erm Lol There´s a Rune System in diablo 3 you can enchant your spells with the runes o_O

You´re not up-to-date mate ;P

In the skilltree thee´s an empty place near every spell for runes so you can add extra effect´s on you spells I.e

Ading Greater Death Rune(Or Darkness dunno the name anymore)
to teleport spell will cause to revive near corpses near our teleport point to get revived for a short time

Or add a Greater Poison Rune on any attack gives advantages like poisoning or even some really special things if it get combined with the right spell ;P

Man CloudWolf you surprise me greatly, I was browsing through the maps a few weeks ago and found your Rosaria Project, played it with a few friends and was very pleasantly surprised. Now I've been trying your other maps and haven't been let down yet, you're a great mapper, keep up the fantastic work.
