Custom cliffs and pathing blockers

I downloaded the .txt file so I can make custom cliffs with the terrain mesh tools and I am just wondering if there is a more efficient way to mark them as cliffs than painting them with pathing blocker doodads, and also if there is a way to block vision from the lower ground.
 
Well, you could use other doodads, like fences but other than that there's not really any better way.
Use vision blocking doodads to block vision.

You could also use regions and triggers to warp units away or somethign like that but it might be a bit more complicated and lag generating.
