Critical Situation for Spells Section

I find this situation very bad. Except for Vexorian (who is very busy already) I haven't seen other moderators taking care of the Spell Section. Atleast for downloads, this map stood for more than 12 hours and it shouldn't been deleted at once. http://www.wc3sear.ch/index.php?p=Spells&ID=879 . If moderators would have made a tour through the downloads (spells), they would've surely seen it.

I am worried about this. Does anyone know where The_Raven is? I haven't seen him posting for quite some time on the site. I hope he will give a sign soon enough because we need active moderators into the spells section. On the forums I have seen double-posted threads and they weren't deleted. DarkShadow even had to close a thread because nobody would. Does anyone have a solution for this? Cuz I'm sharing the situation which I feel that is critical.

I was comin in here to post this exact topic, and was glad to see you did for me. I agree this a sh*tty situation and we atleast need more spell mods, but this is one of the hundreds of things we can't fix until darky's back. IF he comes back. someone needs to get his phone number. or atleast have a way to contact him. this is getting out of hand. this and darky's absense. we know his name is chris, and that he lives in switz. thats it.

Darky is totally missing, I doubt we will see him soon, I am starting to doubt we will see him ever again. No darky28 activity detected on irc for 6 weeks by now.

I was kinda mad at some troll that tried to troll and downrate my InvX system, that added to the fact my Semester was starting, I didn't feel like spending money on this for the rest of this week, I just came here to submit some updates to the rolling boulder, invx and the caster system, and I find this retarded porn that used blizzard's egg hunt map, Damnit, if at least it was nice porn, it was just the disgusting kind of porn, I am already requesting a permanent ip ban for that guy, I am suspecting it is someone else that tried to get revenge. (kind of a stupid one though)

Yes, darky just created the usergroup>Super Moderator w/c is an equivalent of site administrator. Vg & Oz was given the rank name super moderator w/c was suppose to be site admin. I even wonder why wc3sear is not .com but .ch (perhaps a shortened url address) w/c leads me to the conclusion that darky must have his own server.

Thanks Vexorian for cleaning that spell. I'm glad you posted here with your thoughts and especially that you agree with the situation. But I am afraid we cannot do much until Darky is back. But, does he atleast pay for the site? I hope he is ok...

And as for me, I'll keep watching upon the spells section and Vex, could I send you PMs if I notice a thread which should be deleted because it was either double-posted or accidently created and then the guy said he had solved the problem? Thank you!

Wrong :!: Anyone who have access to the administration panel is a site admin & anyone who have access to the moderators panel>you can moderate this forum is a moderator. Since the default description of the usergroup>administrator is owner of this site & basically there should only be one owner of a site such as this so darky must have created the usergroup>super moderator. But first I have to check my ipb board to see things more clearly. And yes, VG & Oz may not have full access to this site but they have full control/access of the forum site or the ipb board itself.

I do not, however, have any special access to the files sections of the site, other than moderation over the tools section and being a comments mod.

Nope, I was right that super moderators are administrators that you have a full access to the ipb board or the forum board. Well, the file sections of this site is an another board & I think it is an another folder w/c darky created.

Even though he might be able to DeadDogNoGoWoof, I suppose he made some deal with Darky that he wouldn't be able to make any mods or something without his agreement. And it's the right thing to do. Getting a madman lead this place would be awful. Actually, I really did not make any agreement with Darky, and I can make mods for the forums any time I want. The reason I didn't say why is because it sounded like he wanted to be one. And I'm not planning on doing so until it is needed.

2. yes Daelin, this is über foücked in the spells suction (pun intended). once again, I don't wanna be a mod as of now, but we really need more spell section mods. that spell stayed up for 6 hours. it was disgusting porn that violated the rules (with or without the porn). It was just messed up and definately not funny. I say Daelin should be a mod. hes coo. and as far as I know, on alot. or maybe have the mods cover more sections. I mean all they have to do is visit the page, click any new resource, inspect (using this word lightly), and go to the next section. it really doesn't take that long, nor is it very difficult.

Before we go back on topic oz02, let me clear a thing up to DeadDogNoGoWoof please.

Dude, being a mod is much more than clearing resources and warning people. This is what general mods are about. Being focused on a certain section (like spells section), you are to watch upon the threads started into that section, assure that rules are followed, keep on guard. And moreover, you need to help those who search for help. Normal users do not have to help, but mods are usually supposed to. To be a mod in something means to be very good in that thing so you can support and improve people into that type of modding (into this case once again, spells).

And now back on topic... That spell stood all night (Romania atleast). I reported it before I went to sleep and during the morning, it was still there. So it was like... 10 hours there? And once again, I ask what's happening with The_Raven? He didn't show up for some serios time. And Vexorian is already far too busy with the many stuff he has on his head. Who should take care of the spells section? Other mods? Let's be serious... they have other stuff on their head as well.

And DeadDogNoGoWoof, I didn't make this post so I can get a mod. I posted this to point out to the other moderators that we there is a problem with the spell section. I care a lot about this section since I tried to do my best supporting it since I'm on this site. I improved my spellmaking a lot (from almost 0) because of that section and for that, I think I owe it a lot. So judge me the way you like but please, don't let the spell section go down. It deserves much more than that. I fully support the spell section through all I can, including a spell compeitition so you can all do your best. Through competitions you also improve your spell skills a lot. This is all personal experience, thanks to the Spell Olympics in which I participated.

I have WoW and play regularly(level 48 human mage) and I manage to have time for the many forums I'm member of.

Plus I actually have a real life off the computer.
