Guess no one payed attention with the whole custom model normals issue.
Adding non reforged elements either custom or ripped from WoW will look out of place because the textures don't work properly.
There's not much to say to it before it's fixed, but no footmen will have anything from WoW.
Especially when WoW Gilneas soldier models not only failed the colour scheme but also got a wrong crest on them.
It will be a pain to insert WOW, as the HD will not work properly.
I don't know what kind of problem there may be, but no texture was ever good for external models, whether you're the best artistic texture designer, it doesn't look good.
I don't know if it's the new Geosets created that aren't really realigned with the new graphics engine or if creating new Normal's textures (which are not part of Reforged) will not work for the game.
@SebioL thank you! It's not effort, it's the normals. Editing normals of a reforged model WORKS, making normals of any external or fully custom model does, at least yet.
It is precisely why we were telling to Hive staff that there might not even be any fully custom Reforged model any time soon.
We still make some model in hopes Blizzard will fix whatvever the issue with world editor texture corruption is, but until it's fixed custo assets just don't look as good as they should.
@Moonman
It is probably a problem of linking to the name. If it is a texture with the default name of the game, the graphics engine may work (on any new texture), but in general... it may be necessary to insert a new name chain for external textures inside the game.
Ps. Maybe... Blizzard did this intentionally so that external Full HD models do not overlap with the "quality" they created. lol
