Yeah, you could make multiple heroes too.. It's not necessary that the hero name is your username too, just make sure the proper name is somehow related to yourself. :3

You should limit it to 2 max per person otherwise its not really hiveworkshop arena. I will start trying to get some other people in for characters :)

Actually, I was thinking about adding a "FOR FUN" tavern which contains heroes which are not related to hive.. but they're not IMBA, more on the just for fun part.. but yes, TWO heroes per person/user should be enough..

@FREENGERS : LoL your hero was too imba ! The attributes >.<

Don't worry, I'll balance the heroes as I make them.. :3



When I get the time, I'll be updating this thread with all the changes in the hero submission rules, and some other stuff.. Oh and I'll be creating another thread as the main Map Dev thread so that this thread will be focused on the Hero stuff..

So, for now, I'm posting some screenshots in the main post.. Sorry I couldn't take more screenshots, my computer suddenly shut down for some unknown reason when I was making the screenies and I'm now too lazy/sleepy to make more..

I took the DotA template made by Acehart and SD_Ryoko as a reference point, changing the position of the trees and the tileset for most of it. All that is the same pretty much is the one lane it has and the fact that there is two bases.

Hero Lore: Nerubians are all fearsome and malignant creatures dwelling in the darkest places. However, Hexcellion is a nerubian who likes making fun of things, and has been practicing the art of trolling fellow nerubians with his tricks. Because of their strict and serious nature, they banished the jester. The nerubian jester does not have the typical nerubian approach. He uses his bag of tricks to make a mockery out of his opponents, and thus getting the last laugh. But beware, when the jester stops laughing, you know his last trick is coming.

As much as he likes making his audience laugh, he likes to inflict pain upon them. Whenever he uses a trick of his, his sadistic mind laughs on his own.
Whenever he casts a spell/uses an active item, the jester's combat skills become stronger.
Level 1 - Increases his damage by 11 and attack speed by 13%.
Level 2 - Increases his damage by 23 and attack speed by 27%.
Level 3 - Increases his damage by 39 and attack speed by 35%.
Level 4 - Increases his damage by 50 and attack speed by 40%.

Ace of Spades [R]

The tricks are over.. not. The jester gas one final trick up his sleeves, ace of tricks or ace of spades or whatever.
Summons a group of shadows surrounding the jester which deal damage to random enemies for a duration.
Level 1 - Summons 5 shadows. 13-25 damage. Lasts for 12 seconds.
Level 2 - Summons 8 shadows. 14-28 damage. Lasts for 20 seconds.
Level 3 - Summons 10 shadows. 30-30 damage. Lasts for 30 seconds.

Notes: Here are the pros and cons of this hero, possible roles.
Pros:
  1. Good nuker
  2. Helpful in teamfights.
  3. Good for ganking.
Cons:
  1. Has low durability.
  2. Easy to kill when ff'ed.
  3. Needs to be alive for long to deal a lot of damage.
Possible Roles:
  • Nuker
  • Support
  • Disabler
  • DPS

And yes, the skills' variables are random. This makes him more of a jester and makes him interesting to use.

Hero Lore: *Daffa_Mage is a Hero who is said only human with supernatural senses that can see it, during the war of Lordaeron, he appear in the mist of battle and destroy half of the undead forces without being seen, he is capable of destroying Azeroth with his spells, but this also results that he is hunted by every race because of his power, during the fall of Dalaran, he appear for a second and disappear again, but in the process he slay 70% of the undead forces and delay Dalaran's fall, until today, nobody know where he is actually.

What do you think should the terrain look like? or its theme? I'm kinda having a hard time deciding the theme but the "skeleton" of the terrain is already planned out.. Do you think a forest theme would be good? since hive looks like night elf-ish to me.. or would a hell theme be better? maybe floating islands so that it would look magical?

Accepting suggestion for the theme of the terrain... :)


EDIT: BTW, currently making a list of ALL the heroes in the main post..

I believe it should be more forest like for the arena, rather then barren or w/e. Since the UI on the website has leaves/vines around the boarders.

Forest gives it a night elf/forbidden/mystic feel as well

Love the new the title page Juno, really good!

Screenies look good, terrain looks decent for a arena game :) which is sweet. Love the spell icons too that you made for my character, suits the hero extremely well

Demonic Arrows - Autocast
Absorbs x mana per shot but drains x hp per shot when activated.
Armor Break - Unit Target
Breaks a target unit's defense, reducing it's armor by 100% for x seconds.
Arrowstorm - Area Target
Calls down arrows from sky in a target area, dealing x damage to enemies. Lasts for x waves.

Hero Lore: Gamblers love to risk it all in betting, which is what Hexcellion'ed just did, or so he did. He had a name until he encountered the mischievous Hexcellion who used a trick on him to change his name to Hexcellion'ed. This name has brought him the ultimate shame, yet it also gave him his wealth. His luck suddenly changed when he won the jackpot prize, only to know that it was just recently claimed, thus lowering the amount of money he got. He was enraged, he gambled and gambled until he lost everything that he had. Now, he is an angry gambler who just wants your pocket money and someone who drools at the sight of gold.
