As a opposite to the creatures made of flesh, Dathylos are the first know mana entities. They are mana made material as rocks with natural runes float in a strange magnetic way slownly creating a lifeform that breaths and bleeds magic material.
These beasts seen to be normally nothing territorial and fly randomly in a crazy search for prey in the lands, thing that they never seen to get as they are the first materialization oftheir class. Their presence seens to enforce the magic energy on a area and create interesting anomalies on the ground (crystalizations, change in color, small number of floating rocks).
Edit: Changed a bit more, got texture animations, but I need your opinion on then, I not sure if they fit or not.
Aw thanks but... no, he has a enourmous ability to use very low polies on his models and fill then with effects (some pretty cool also)
And about style, is more like trying to do different things, Grendel doing his floating eyes and mouths around, Judash with his Final Fantasy-ish models...
Where are the anims from though? I'm not really familiar with the anims of built-in models, so I'm wondering if you made them from scratch or took a basic WC3 model's animations.
Stopit xD
Judash will be eating all when he reads it =p
And animations are wyvern. The fitted pretty well I think, was kinda surprised. I am learning slownly what I still doesnt know about the warcraft modelling.
At first I thought it was another Judash model, then I realized the file size was about what I'd expect for a model of this quality, rather than microscopic as his low poly counts result.
Still, it's really cool. Might wanna work a bit on your description, though, it was painful to read.
5/5, this is outstanding for a model from such a new modeler.
Judash is... a girl? *dramatic revelation music*
Her models are cool and yes... I still dont know how she do to make then so low poly an small filesize, I bet its not just the poly count but the custom animations, the she can make it with no unecessary stuff.
And I actually aggre about using sometimes custom animations because hell, her blade dancer, how in Earth she wold do it with ingame ones?
...And I not new, I'm not "The lazy warrior" for no reason.
Also guys, give critics too! I still not squished that thing so I can edit stuff!
lol wait.. why is a burning 'M' on its back and stomach?
also.. for a mana creature.. it could use some soft glow around itself
the birth looks like it's fel energy or disease instead of mana death too
the texture animation could hurry up in attack anim, although i'm not sure if you can do that.. Oo
and maybe a different rune for it could be nice
hmm.. short ribbon emitter on each of those floating thingies at the ends of wings? (haven't checked ingame if it has already)
Let me rephrase my post on the previous page, welcome back and good job to our "Newly returned modeler", as you're not entirely new, but, rather, have uploaded a couple of models years ago and have recently returned to provide your best model ever made.
I love models with this type of weird styles. Sort of reminds me of judash137's Cosmic Eye model. Only thing is the runes with the bear paws on them, doesn't really seem to fit with the rest of the model.
Sorry for being kinda slow these days, Im on vacation and well, pretty much without internet xD
So for now no updates until I have a constant connection.
both idea and execution are fiine. Just noticed one problem so far: it has no portrait! You should make a portrait file of it. Otherwise, it's realy good. My other suggestion is optioneal: the wings could be conected to the body, like the tail and not just ''float'' near it. But that's not an essential change. 5/5 from me.
