Dammit, i5's are too cheap ._.

Now every new comp has a better CPU than mine ._.

Video Card, now, thats something entirely else :D

That case is a bit overpriced though.

And, you bought the 7200.11... 7200.12's are faster, even with half the cache.

The HDD is 931gb because HDD manufactures calculate the GB differently than OS's

So it's a 1tb drive

I know, it sucks ._.

Oh yeah, I was wondering that becouse when I bought the computer it said that it would be a 1tb drive. I got quite confused but I didn't bother since I prolly wont use all that space anyway

You should go to 3.2, most 720's get there without volt increases

And a 9800 with that? Needs a 4870 or GT260 :/

Also try getting the ram to 4-4-4-12-21-2T timings, most 800 sticks can

Or 1066 5-5-5-15-24-2T

Still on stock heatsick/fan. I don't want to push it when I don't need to.
9800 is fine too. Got it for $100 plus a $30 rebate. A 4870 or GT260 wouldn't see nearly enough improvement to justify another $200.
I'm getting 40-50fps at max settings in WiC, CoH, and DoW2.

Why would anybody get more than 3GB RAM? 32bit OSes support up to 3.25GB (or something like that). I think that 64-bits support more, but there are issues that make them worse or something. Can somebody explain please? :)

64bit supports up to 12TB RAM, i think (not that i'll get so much :p).

That thing about it being bad is wrong. It's just that programs made for 32 bit run slower, and 16bit don't even run. But nowadays ~90% programs have 64bit versions (all Open Source do), so 64bit = win.

No. To buy it would be another $200.
Where did you get $300 out of that?

That card is more expensive.
My card is similar, and better in some ways than that card, and that's at factory settings.
Plus free shipping. Plus I've always been a NVIDIA type of guy.
I hate the look of ATI cards. >.>

Well, you said it was $100, and you said it was $200 more.

100+200=300

$40 more? And 9800GT better than a 4870?????

A single 4870 can beat a 9800GX2 sometimes (more often the 4890 beats that), not the same -.-

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150436

I spy with my little eye, FREE SHIPPIN!

And Nvidia type of guy? Eh, can't blame ya, Nvidia had a good run with the 8000's, but ATI is winning now, better price/performance.

Hell, you can get a 4850 for $100 (9800GT is equal to 4830)

Function over Form is what I say, would you buy a Card that was all shiny, but ran like crap, or one that looked like crap (Lord knows mine does) and beat the shit out of the crap?

(9800GT is equal to 4830)

No they aren't. WiC is my most graphic-intensive game.
This is with the 4850:
1523_10.gif

100 - 30 rebate < 100
With slightly better performance.

The 4870 would cost even more money, something I don't have the luxury of having right now. I barely squeaked by with this one. But I had to get a card because my XFX died on me and this one seemed the most sensible at the time. I needed a quick, cheap card and this fit the bill nicely. It's really not that big of a deal.
Also, the card I got is now 140 and there is no rebate. lol...
If I waited things might have been different. But I'm not complaining.

Did the picture load for you?
It's not loading for me...
That's what I got when I googled for a comparison.

It's the 9800gt getting better FPS in WiC than the 4850. Which is not a 4830.
