Lore:
At the beginning of the World, the first borns were Alwens and Swamp Trolls.
The Alwens are the first kind of ''Elves'', in modern human language, they were beautiful, their voices sounded wonderful, their hair was the colour of sea or the colour of gold, they were living in deep forests and their occupations were harvesting, singing and crafting. An Alwen could live 500years, but they were calling themselves ''immortals''. They were rarely commiting crimes and they were very hardly punished: The one that commited a crime was thrown into a very deep and dark pit, everyone that enters that pit is cursed to feel pain but not die. In that pit lived a burning, horned, black demon called ''Arrakya'', that means ''Punisher''. The Alwens that were falling there were eternally tortured by Arakya, until one day, when an Alwen accused by murder was thrown there, his name was ''Kawsh'nu''. He found in the eternally pain and darkness Hatred and Treason, he wanted to get out of there and he had the perfect plan, he made a pact with the other prisoners: Their will for their freedom.
First, they thought he was mad (and he was) and he couldn't get them out, until they had enough torturing and decided to follow him.
Kawsh'nu infiltrated into the demon's chamber and stole his heart, but when the Alwen's get out of the pit, their skin turned dark-grey, their hair was black and their eyes were filled with hatred, even their blood turned black. But Kawsh'nu's skin turned greyish-black, his eyes were burning, his blood turned black and his face was covered with black stripes.
The Alwens called their savior the Dark One, and the Dark One called his servants ''Kelwen'' , ''Black Elves'' in modern human language.
After that, they built their den into a deep cave. The Kelwens' occupations were weaponcrafting, murder and more weaponcrafting. With enough power, they kept attacking the Alwens and so they fought and fought and fought. One day, a meteorite fell in the forest, causing mutations to the nearby animals, the boars turned stone-grey, their eyes black with white eyeballs, their tusks grown much bigger, on their back spikes grew. The wolves became furless, their eyes like the boars', and their body grew much bigger.
The Kelwen's were almost defeated, and they were in desperately need for allies. Their alchemists found the mutated beasts and combined their blood with some of the Kelwens'.
Next part coming soon...

Interesting plot, but theres many holes in it. Why would a cult with the capabilities of creating such creatures risk worsening the situation by sending in MORE Uruks that most likely want to be free? Also, what keeps the Uruks under the cult's control, i doubt a dark cult would not have anything to keep them in check.

Still some plot holes.

For instance, you mentioned that an elf criminal was exceedingly rare, but there were enough of them to escape and wage war on the others?

Also, the story lacks a bit of depth. There is little description of the environement or if there are other sentient species living there. Not to mention that they somehow, without a clear explenation, steal the heart of a powerful demon.
