(From the records of High Seer Khamos Alderon)

"....Titans walked the earth in those days. Great warriors clad in armor of gleaming gold, bronze, and silver that descended from the heavens and the vast, endless expanse of stars in their ships of shimmering mithril and orikalkos. They brought with them weapons that shot fire and thunder; great machines of battle that lumbered across the plains and deserts of Rheia's landscapes. The Titans brought also their legions of war; clad in metal, where they marched, it was as if the earth itself was shaking.

It should be know that in this time, Rheia had not yet been shattered by the Great Cataclysm; the time when Rheia's third moon fell burning from the heavens and into the heart of the super-continent.

During this age-the Age of Titans-Rheia had but one continent; Antedeluvia. In Antedeluvia, life flourished under the reign of the eight Titan Lords-whom by this time established great kingdoms and civilized the primitives. These Eight Titan Lords were known as Zechaeus, Justinian, Arclite, Kronos, Angsaar, Seth, Ghaal, and Thule. For many years, their kingdoms prospered. Then, however, the Angsaar grew hungry for power and turned his will over to the armored gauntlet of Chaos; the enemy of ages.

Leading his army south from Ebethron-the frozen wastes-Angsaar slaughtered all in his path. Even his own brothers were helpless to stop him. Ultima Thule (kingdom of Lord Thule) fell first, followed swiftly behind by Blashyrkh (kingdom of Lord Ghaal). Angsaar's uprising ended in Hyperborea, the kingdom of Seth.

Peace once again reigned over Antedeluvia, but, Not all was as it seemed for, as the power of Kronos, Arclite, Justinian, and Zechaeus grew...so did the jealousy and rage of young Seth....and he too felt a calling into the frozen north by some unknown force....

(........This part appears burnt and illegible.....)

.....and as Seth's jealousy grew, he became detached from his brothers and journeyed on his own to Ebethron and eventually beyond Ebethron's Deadwind Veil and into the cavernous depths of Rheia itself! There, he discovered a massive stone, older than time......

(.......again illegible......)

.......the Runes spoke to him and showed him the pathway to god hood. Driven mad by the magic of the Runes, he returned to his kingdom of Hyperborea to claim the divinity that was his birth right. Using the Runes, he constructed the Throne of Burning Gold; a massive device to which all energy was gathered and focussed into using a series of seven obelisks that were placed at points were mana was found most abundant. Slowly, suffering from his madness, Rheia began to grow cold and dead; a creeping barren wasteland that grew as each day passed.

At first, the other Titans knew not what was wrong. They suspected dark magics from beyond the stars were working their evil hands on Rheia, leading them to depart on a great crusade across the Imbrium Veil. The Cosmic War lasted for many centuries before the Titans discovered a mysterious Obelisk constructed on a dead world. this Obelisk was fiercly protected by mechanical and organic warriors bearing the mark of Hyperborea. The Titans destroyed the Obelisk and followed the star maps of the cosmic cartographers back to Rheia, only to find only the dead shell of a planet with few pockets of life left. It was months before they discovered that their own brother was responsible....

(.....it trails off........)

........and he was sealed away..........seven gates.........seven keys..........

(......illegible.....)

And written upon the Fallen Titan's gates into his dead and cold kingdom of ice and snow was a warning to any who sought to resurrect Hyperborea's dark legacy: "None Shall Pass Beyond These Frost-Bound And Magic Sealed Gates, For This Kingdom Enthrones Madness"
