Will you mod Starcraft II?

Once Starcraft 2 is released do you then think that you will mod the game? Or will you only be a player? Or won't you even play the game at all?

I'm [hoping] it'll have a significantly faster and more powerful scripting language... otherwise, I'll probably go back to wc3 for the most part of modding, and just stick with Sc2 for melee (if it's good like SC is) and possibly a bit of modding if I ever want to do a sci-fi map.

Oh, also, it needs a channel-like ability for me to be completely happy

Omfg, i have modding ideas for this already, if they fix the lag on arrow key movement, or if they finish trackables . Cause i am definetly doing a multiplayer Ghost infiltration game if they do.

I will most definatley mod it. But I hope to God that some one will make an Oinkerwinkle equivelent tool set for SCII so that I can make models or at least let there be good free modeling program that will work well with the stuff.

I already have ideas to mod it <_<;;. (It was originally for Starcraft 1 but it would be impossible for me because for some reason it wont let me use the new button V_V (Plus it wouldn't work with the Starcraft 1 editor anyway..))

wc3 community is very strong in the rts world, but if sc2 goes as planned, wc3 won't exactly die, but it won't exactly live either. Zombie game ftw!

I enjoy the missions, but yeah i use cheats. So what? its not hurting anyone, im not "ruining the game" im not being self destructive. Im just trying to have some fun in-game. Even blizzard condones cheating, otherwise they wouldnt make cheat codes !

I doubt it'll die, but it'll almost definitely lose a ton of people. (Unless the editor sucks)

It won't die by any means. I probably won't be playing SC2 due to my crappy computer, unless I get myself a new one before it comes out (which is unlikely), so I am staying for computer reasons, you are staying because you probably prefer medieval over future, and others will stay for their own reasons, probably most commonly the same as you.

Sure I do, What I meant (but by bad argument) that the whole site will still be alive. It won't die out , just look at Half-Life 1 for example. It's still alive! So is it's follow-up. I'm pretty sure we will soon have competitions between SC2 and Wc3.

i read sumwhere they were going to come out 2008 as a 10th anniversary of SC.
i dont think i could mod anything on SC2 even if i wanted to. those stuff looks pretty damn good
i wont probably play it. it would be probably all melee focused. my friends reckon it would be pretty cool if they had sumthing like DOTA on it. i dont. i think that would ruin it kinda.
the real reason i might not play it, not intensibly anyway, is that i suck at SC.
its is disgraceful considering my nationality. LOL ~guess my nationality(^_^)
