Where will you go when War3 ends? is it currently the only game you play or mod? or has is almost no value to you? Will you go to SC2 when it comes out anyway?

I'll stick with WC3 to the very end. I'll keep playing until I'm the only one left on Battle.net. And after that, Ill just make maps for myself and a few friends as crazy as me to play.

For me, (hopefully) Wc3 will never end.

I play some other games. Stronghold 2, I play and do some light modding. Neverwinter Nights, Neverwinter Noghts 2, Baldur's Gate 2 (yeah, I know it's and old game).

Warcraft 3 won't vanish into thin air, it'll be around for years to come. Just look at Diablo2 and Starcraft, and neither of those come even close to the modding capabilities of Wc3. To answer the question I'll stick to Wc3, but I don't mind playing other games as well.

Why does people keep mentioning "real life" whenever discussing modding, as if they don't have one but want people to know that they certainly do have this and that in real life, yet they still spend all their time at the forums.

You can both spend time at the computer and time with your friends/girlfriend/family without any hassle, no need to mention all the time that you do and you will move on to this and that and be soooo busy that you cannot mod, that is the stupidest reason to leave. leaving is fine but the busy irl card is getting old.

First of all, your post has very little relevance to what I said.

Second. Yes, that's true. Nobody can run the 'ultimate' setting. Probably because Crytech never made it. I'm running on the High setting, since you can't go to Very High without Vista, and getting decent FPS. I have friends with PCs that can run Crysis on Very High (although with lower FPS). I can most likely get the screenshots to prove it.

Edit: my bad, they run with a mix of High and Very High settings.
Edit edit: Here's a pic of Crysis on my PC. I forgot to close out of WoW, so it's a tad slower than it should be.

I dont play WC that much anyways. my net is too freaking crap to play online so i sometimes play lan with my bro and sometimes at my frind's place.
i dont know what games are good so i got no idea what to move on.
currently playing WH40K DoW Dark Crusade campaign. it's pretty good i guess. i play chaos a lot, crazy bastards. no online tho. and my bro's com is short of 2kb in RAM to play DoW so no LAN with him. How bs it that.
i wait for Soulstorm and SC2 then again, i wouldnt play that intensive either.

Crysis is big. 12 gigabytes big. Minjimum RAM is 1GB. A GO 7300 is a decent but aging laptop graphics card, but definitely not on par with today's desktop GPUs. And a sound card handles sound (duh). Don't worry about it, unless you're trying to build the best possible PC.

I would be bored out of my mind for the rest of my life if WC3 ended! God, that game is so great. I love making maps and havong like 50 billiob friends play on it with me. Id play it forever, even if im the only one left lol...er, i'd convine at least 2 ppl to still play.

and yeh. i hate being pessimestic but WC is like only for DOTA now so we all probably move on pretty soon to something like WC4, if it ever comes out.
Blizzard will probably concentrate on WoW, becos that's the money maker, and not so much on WC4. we have SC2 to play until it comes out. i bet Blizzard is gonna bide their time until SC2 has fully set in and people are getting bored, that's i gues 2 yrs.
then they will release it. no point putting 2 products while the ther one hasnt been sold that much yet. by the time it is released, i will be too busy to play anything. remember, it took them 10 yrs to release SC2.

or, on a very dramatic angle, blizzard could go bankrupt and zillions of kids will be left playing Wii or Wii 2 or PS7. i hope to god not. i dont want to waste mony to buy consoles
