I like disturbed a lot too (Maybe my fave band right now), but I love Prayer much more than Warrior.

Hm... Most of the artists you mentioned actually make lots of pop music. That's a bit contradicting. :P

No, these artists don't make "pop" music. Best example: Flo Rida - Low. I think everybody knows that song, yet it is Hip Hop. It just seems to be Pop as many people like it. Oh and by the way, I never said I listen to every single track these artists produce.
To be more specific - I hate music which you just can't avoid.

Such is the case with most of the artists you mentioned, just saying.

Pop is short for popular music. Should you really label everything that's considered pop music, it'd be a royal pain in the ass.

Rock from the 60's 70's 80's and some 90's. Anything 2000> is crap and is often repeats of old songs. I like some pop from the 80's, but not really spread that much. I also enjoy the occasional blues or jazz songs, since I've played the Trumpet for 6-7 years now.

Artists range from AC/DC, Jimi Hendrix, Micheal Jackson, Metallica, and a few others I cant really name off the top of my head.

/somewhat necro

Genres I like:
-Alt/Post/Progressive Metal - pretty much metal that breaks away from the norms of metal, bands like Tool, Karnivool (debatable whether it's metal or not but whatever), Isis, Fair to Midland, Animals as Leaders, etc. etc.
-Math Rock - I just love experimentation on the side of the composition, breaking away from the norms of 4 4 time can really create some interesting results. Bands like Giraffes? Giraffes!, Protest the Hero, This Town needs Guns, etc.
-Punk Rock - mainly bands like Rise Against and the Offspring
-Dubstep - something I've more recently gotten an interest in. I'm not normally one to listen to much techno/electronica type stuff but the experimentation here is very interesting, especially since it often breaks away from the repetitive nature of many electronica type genres.

I've also been listening to some Djent lately and that's got some interesting stuff, though it seems like it probably fits under the category of Alt Metal.

Favorite Genre: Instrumental (Primarily Japanese and Korean)

I also listen to a lot of pop, hip-hop, dance, techno, trance, r&b but of course, my favorite type of music is instrumental music.

IDK what kind of genre it is, but i love music thats very inspirational, sometimes instrumental, it could be a mix of genre's this one lol

I like some jazz, some hiphop, some rock, some opera, some trance, some techno, some dubstep, and some classical.
And generally music that has "a unique vibe to it." I'm sorry I cannot be anymore specific. The list is enormous and would still not give the picture of my terms of quality.
Some music I like simply because it has something in it that is inspirational somehow. The rest of it may be crap, but if it just has something that sounds cool, I like it for that, and will hear it whenever I'm in the appropriate mood.

The only music I can't listen to is new country, pop or rap. But I love electronica, some metal, some black metal, a bunch of rock, classical but mostly industrial. A really good industrial site is http://www.digitalgunfire.com/ btw.
