I've never submitted anything but whenever I do scripts I listen to fast paced music since it keeps me working.

Personally, I try to set up a playlist for every project. Oddly enough, my artstyle tends to change slightly, depending on the genre/tempo/intensity and/or even who the musician is that I'm listening to.

Whenever I am moderating some part of the forum, or just browsing the old blog sites and other bits and bobs, I just randomly pick chillstep at YT, probably those that last 1 to 2 hours so I don't keep choosing more beats whenever a song finishes.

Or when I get tired and need to finish something I listen to rock music.

Lets see if we can't get something started on this thread? I think it'd be interesting to see other modders post playlists they use with the Hidden tag or something. I'd definitely like to try some new stuff while I work.

I tend to work for a large part of the day on a single project, so I tend to have very long playlists.

And that's just one example of the type of thing I listen to while I work. It really helps get through the tedium of animation. More often than not, if I know all the songs by heart, I'll arrange them in a specific order, to tell a story. Usually the story I've got in mind for the model I'm making.

Also, coke, I checked that link of yours, and my eyes were immediately drawn to 'Japanese Poem'. My very first thought was that it meant something else. My second was "What is this doing on here?"

When it comes time to work I almost always load up this page:

Set the volume fairly low, and click play. Not being able to control the playlist keeps me from getting distracted, and ambient music isn't too distracting itself.

Personally, ambient music doesn't do anything but distract me. I prefer heavy, powerful music, as it helps keep me driven and focused.

I used to listen to all of my music when I would work.

Now when I really want to concentrate, I listen to Gregorian Chant. It's really helpful in blocking out exterior noise, while it's simplicity and mellow tone allows your brain to focus on whatever it is you're doing.
