Oz right, maybe WoW isnt warcraft 4 (so blizzard stated) but its continue the story so its count for me as new warcraft (maybe later blizzard will realy make warcraft 4... who know)

i think blizzard next projcet will be diablo III or something with starcraft (starcraft 2)...

I'd rather just see a new expansion. I think WC3 is good and any new WC RTS games would probably be really hardware demanding and focusing on realistic graphics (like War of the Rings). I prefer the cartoonish-style WC3 look. But I do agree with Mecheon, another SC RTS would be nice. Although Ghost looks very promising...I just hope it has a multiplayer mode....

I dont think the WC3 look is cartoonish at all, personally.

War of The Rings is less than adequate. The makers focused more on the look rather than the gameplay. WC3 has both.

They will make Warcraft 4, just not for a while. At the moment, WC3 is still holding its own as the best RTS out there, and that won't change for some time. They need to update their other games, especially Starcraft. WC4 won't be necessary until we have uber graphics, and then they will need to update WC3.

There isn't much to be changed with WC3. It's perfect, and the detail is mega-uber, like when you free the soldiers on one of the Human campaign levels, and they run out of their cells to the armour racks, where they become footmen  so sexy.

WoW isn't wc4, but it will conclude the history of warcraft.

not necessarily at all...
a warcraft 4 can come out even 1 day on the timeline after WoW.

just like 'star wars galaxies' - it takes place somewhere within the original grilogy (cant remember wether between I and II or II and III) and still the story wasnt damaged.

the same for WC history and a continuation of a WC 4

thx for your time

It is possible, but i don't think it's very realistic.
'cause the story in tht was already getting a bit thin, and what would happen in wc4 anyway?

oh comon... isnt it obvious?
the fisrt thing you can expect from a WC 4 is a major war against the new lich king.
if you ask me, the most likely story i think will come up with in WC 4 is that Sylvanas will join force with the good guys, kill the new lich king and take over. maybe at the end of the campaign she will get killed by the good guys too - and there goes the scourge...

The Lich King is actually not going to take a part in Wow. When you play as Undead in Wow, you will be under Sylvanus' rule. And who knows what will happen with the Lich King? Perhaps he'll manage to take over the entire world, or maybe the Night Elves will have another trick up their sleeves? You can't really predict exactly what will happen. It maybe be that after Wow Blizzard will discontinue creating Warcraft games and start with some new idea.

@oz02: That's what I thought too. I hardly see how a warcraft 4 would be made since much of the story is well revealed. Then there's the expansion which I hardly see how they would add another expansion since they've already released the battle chest set. As far as I'm concerned, WoW will probably be the last product of the Warcraft series.

A new expansion wouldnt work. The whole concept of the alliance would fail, since the Blood Elves are no longer in the Alliance. They are still in the alliance at the beginning of TFT, so they are part of the Alliance forces. But a new expansion would mean that the Blood Elf forces from the Alliance would have to be removed.

The Lich King will probably be in WoW somehow, since Illidan will be in. The story concept of WoW is already pretty thin, and Lich King have now the perfect oppertunity to anihalite his nemies in Azeroth because of the two alliances fighing eachother.

I am thinking of these last month..

someday a new expansion of warcraft might turn....
Arthas in to a Bladenaster or a Demonhunter or a Farseer. Or maybe Illidan will be resurrected and be the main character of the game.

Lol..

How can some of you say there isn't much more to warcraft?? Arthas has to be annihilated or banished or something, the scourge should fall the blood elves have to make a new home somewhere, maybe, the humans need to rise up again, the orcs need to settle Durotan... the list goes on....

WoW can reveal more of the story though. Like Final Fantasy 11, the whole game is the story, it doesn't jump in the middle of a story already written, like star wars or WoW...

I wouldn't be too sure about Illidan. But you may have a point. The naga are bound to be neutral in WoW and we can assure ourselves they are probably still leaded by a powerful follower of Azshara.

Ok. One, WoW is not Warcraft 4 because A. It does not continue the storyline but lets you interacte with an already existing one B. It is not a stratagy game. Blizzard won't throw a MMO in the mix when it costs an online fee and some people (like me) don't want to have to pay every month. No, the story will continue from Warcraft 3 into a different game because I think they will keep the story in the same genre for the stratagy fans. Wouldn't be expecting it any time soon though. I don't know about a Starcraft 2 or Diablo 3 either, because both games creat a threat to Blizzard's already existing (bringing in tons of mulla) games. After War 3 and WoW start to go down financial wise, that's when they'll consider a sequel to either Starcraft or Diablo.

It's a MMPORG, a multiplayer game, like in warcraft 3, perhaps there will be a campaign mode.
and WoW is four years after Tft

There probably will eventually be a WC4 because there are a lot of loose ends to tie up; The Lich King's actions now that he has bodily form again, and the fates of Maiev, Illadan, Sylvanas and their followers. Also it's possible that Khadgar's forces may still be alive on Outland/Draenor(didn't anyone else notice that they were mentioned?). Also at the end of WC3, Tyrande said that their powers over nature would wane in time and the Night Elves would become mortal, so Blizzard might do something with that. Also the Burning Legion is still out there, and demons have entered Sargeras' tomb so he might return to command the Legion again.....but of course it's all up to Blizzard.

It's not warcraft 4 !! It is just another game...a brand new warcraft. It is not a strategy game it is an rpg game.

If you look on Blizzards site, they clearly state that there will be only an online playing mode, NO CAMPAIN MODE.
