Debode believes that we have enough modellers, and over time I got used to the fact that debode is usually right. However in my opinion we do need more modellers.

I belive that if my plan will work we may just get the needed boost.

Also, I started to heavily work on storyline and campaign lore.

I'm having troubles with models too. I need a modeller/skinner very soon or else beta might be delayed again. If worse comes to worse I'm willing to offer $150 US for someones services, but I'll wait a little longer before I come to that conclusion.

@arthas_king

I think by create mind-blowing projects we can revive Warcraft III's fan-base for a little longer. It would be an honor to delay Warcraft III's death :)

Off-topic: Warcraft 4 is indeed confirmed and it will support better graphics and a new story.

On-topic: If you need help with Tech-Tree ideas or Object managing, hit me up. I'm good with grammar control, too.

It was never confirmed. The most they said was that they won't even be considering a Warcraft 4 until after the Starcraft 2 expansions have been completed. That means they haven't even started production yet and that they won't until a few years (could be up to five). That does not "indeed confirm" Warcraft 4. Also, of course it will have better graphics and a new story, that is obvious.

You don't pay enough attention then, it was confirmed.

However, that's enough off-topic.

When is that master plan going to happen?

Excellent. I can help with grammar too, in fact, I'm currently writing a book that somewhat relates to Warcraft, haha.

Oh by the way, I have been looking through the sounds and have found two types of voices for ogres. However, while you thought that the dumber voice would be ogres before the fall of draenor and the fact that all ogres now had two heads, I believe that the smarter, scruffier voice is the one you want.

I drew this from the fact that on wowwiki it says that ogres may cultivated an intellectual society. Then I used logic to define that Gul'dan's experiments with giving ogres two heads would give a less-than-acceptable outcome of idiotic heads.

My conclusion is that you got the ogre's voice wrong in your perception as a whole. This is my belief but I recommend you listen to Units-Ogres-OgrePissed1-5. Heck, listen to every sound, you'll get what I'm saying.

that's just blizzard's way of having two different voices for the two headed ogres, it dosn't have any deep meaning or hidden lore secret, sorry :/

Everything Blizzard does has a reason. Artists never paint anything in their pictures by accident. Remember that. That's what I've learned from growing up in a capitalist country.

so, you're telling me, theres a deeper meaning and reason blizzard dragged me from continent to continent in some quest in WoW which was basically one delivery after another which had no major effect on lore whatsoever?

Ok, I got the models, now delete the link to pastebin.

They look awesome! GJ! We will edit them a little bit later to make them look less similar.

Do not do the kennels and warlock tower yet, please. Im still not sure if they will be orc buildings.

Veil_Shienor.jpg

Veil_Skith.jpg

Note that the building on the first pic will most likely be Kaliri Farm.

/@ Alagremm: hmmm, what do you mean by the building in the first pic? The one in the front with a tree?

/@ FoD, there is a great tool, Pipedream's Grimoire that can overload warcraft 3's .mpq with our .mpq (Im still learning HOW, its hard to understand what the loadmpq.txt says), we can use it temporarily until we find a good C+/++'er. Also if you need help on making the .mpq, ask me, I already made my own warcraft 3 :p

Yeah, the closest building. However we might use the other buildihng, which is also on the pic. It is the tent-like building in the back.

Intriguing tool you got there. We might use it...

Also, I'd like to post the results of polls on our site:

What do you think about Fall of Draenor?
Awesome - 166 votes - 77%
Good - 33 votes - 15%
Normal - 5 votes - 2%
Bad - 2 votes - 0%
Horrible - 7 - 3%

What should be ogre ranged unit?
Stonethrower - 37 votes - 80%
Axethrower - 9 votes - 20%

just managed to open .lua files :D
I'll reply here when I managed to make it overide

{EDIT}
well
I managed it to work, we need to give credits to pipedream :p

there is a problem though
sometimes, it finds the path of LOL.mpq (my test .mpq :p) correctly, but sometimes, it shows "LOL.mpq can't be found", I'll fix it, on friday. Cause this week, I'll be less active.

MogulKahn, we have three Cavman's beta models of arakkoa similar to those of the hive, however we will change them into a mage and a ranged unit. Plus we will make heroes and other arakkoa units based on them.

Mok'nathal will be neutral, but not creeps. However one Mok'nathal will side with the Horde...

Supertoinkz, GJ!

Seriously, Lightning..

I think we're fine with the brutish and err.. foolish Ogre voice. They might have possessed some major intellect once, but I think it's best if they remain how they were meant to be.
IDIOTS.

Try reading the wowwiki page again... This is the exact quote at the part called history. This is the quote "Some orc scholars believe the ogres were once intelligent and the dominant species of Draenor before the orcs rose to power."

That factors it in to our timeline, it would make sense that the ogres were not idiots, use logic. When Gul'dan gave the ogres two heads, they became idiotic because they couldn't stop bickering. I'm sorry if i'm being obsessive, but I think that the game should be as authentic as possible.

To be fair, I will switch topics to a topic I really must bring up. Alagremm, do you know how to work Dummy Casters? I'm good enough with them but you may want someone better. If you want to make the abilities interesting, you should really trigger and/or JASS them.

Another thing, tactics should be realistic. For example, we can use triggers to make all sorts of abilities and upgrades form into more realistic and more complicated tactics.

Finally, it's my Birthday! Yay! But don't do too much talking about it, off topic is not good.

While lightning is right about the ogres being smart before the coming of the Horde, there's nothing about them turning stupid because of gaining the extra heads. The Stonemaul's aren't very bright, either, and most of them only have one head. In order to end this bickering, it probably makes the most sense to just have the melee ogres be stupid, and the spellcasters smarter, since they're exposed to magic. The ogre-magi of the Second and Thrid Wars were smart because of their magic usage/exposure to fel magic, so the ogres who use magic in FoD would likely be a bit more intelligent than their underlings.

Off-topic: Happy Birthday!!!

Tell, me what good would it do for the fod mod even if the Ogres were smart? Is Ala gonna give them super-abilities such as Brainfreeze or Nerd Pulverise? The only real difference is, if we're gonna include cinematics, that ogres will talk normally. And honestly, who gives if they were smart or dumb? You're making a pointless discussion. Ask yourself this; if the group decides that they are smart how the hell will it make the mod more authentic?

GhosT out.

Your post made me laugh, anyway, all four paragraphs were unrelated. You see, while I'm off the ogre topic, I have to say that we still must brainstorm fun custom spells. Also, I have ideas for mana alternatives if you need them. But whatever we do, it's important to make some spells that are fun to use and will make the player have fun using that ability. As you know, the ability editor is relatively limited. But triggers unlimit them. I propose we use custom abilities. Anyone wanna brainstorm them here and now?

Abilities:
These are for the units I saw in the techtree in FoD group. There are no ogres.
Arrokoa:
Talonite-
Battle Shriek-Decreases nearby enemy attack speed and increases ally attack speed.
Kaliri Rage-Gives targeted Kaliri units faster attack, but loses health (Unholy Frenzy)
Tribute to the Sky-Sacrifices half the caster's hp to greatly increase nearby unit's move speed.

Sage-
Conjure Myst-Creates a cloud that blinds(stuns) an area of units.
Ritual of Winds-Targeted units lose half their current mana and heals them double. (Casters/heroes only)
Legend of Terokk-Gives targeted heroes invulnerability for x seconds.

Orc:
Shaman-
Purge
Fierce Thunder-Knocks back targeted units and stuns them for x seconds.
Ancestral Ferocity-Heals a unit and at the same time increases attack.

Necrolyte-
Binding Darkness-Like entangling roots.
Ward of Suffering-Summons a ward that degenerates nearby enemy hp and mana.
Chaos Sacrifice-Sacrifices this unit and deals double this unit's hp to nearby enemies.

I'm not sure if the Anchorite is the caster or if the Vindicators and Disciples are.

Ahhh, okay. Away we go with more of my spell ideas!!!
Draenei:
Anchorite-
Purifying Light-Removes all buffs from a unit and heals 4% of its max hp.
Light Shift-Makes all allies invisible in a certain area for x seconds.
Divinity Incarnate-Makes all non-hero allies nearby invulnerable for x seconds (not self).

Disciple-
Redemption-Takes half this units hp and heals another for 25% of that unit's max hp (not self).
Elder Wisdom-Drains mana per second but increases other nearby unit's mana regen.
Seal of Honour-Increases a unit's hp regen and move speed by x% for x seconds.

Okay, we wont have disciple by the way.
Anchorite is a priest and main caster. Vindicator is a paladin and though they usually use only brute force, they could have some sort of healing ability.

Shamans need to have healing as one of the basic skills.

EDIT:
Ok, I want to make a screen with building models supertoinkz made.
So right now I want you to choose where wil the orcish settlement be:
Terokkar Forest(Ashnevale)
Nagrand(Lordaeron + barrens)
Blade's Edge Mountain(Barrens)
Hellfire Peninsula before corruption
Hellfire Peninsula(Black Citadel)
Zangarmarsh(Northrend + Underground)
